That's a stacked card and the build is really hot. I love Terry Funk's crazy brand of violence. El Canek versus Tony St. Clair is an interesting addition as a perfect mid-card treat. Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm actually most looking forward to Curt Hennig and Greg Gagne. The star(s) of tomorrow.
  2. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XV – 10th of March 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre versus Debbie Combs for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We lead in with footage from the previous episode’s brawl before going to the opening match bell. Misty Blue Simmes looks to recapture her television title from Lisa Moretti. The match is hard fought from the off, with neither woman giving an inch. Lisa Moretti knows that she needs a victory to give herself breathing room and Misty Blue Simmes is determined to prove that the decision in their last match was wrong. Knowing to expect more of a challenge than she had before, Lisa Moretti fights as underhandly as possible throughout, even teasing a cheap disqualification loss on occasion, and Misty Blue Simmes is forced into a defensive position far more often that she’d like. The finish is fitting, then, as Lisa Moretti pins the challenger with her feet on the ropes for leverage. Lisa Moretti defeats Misty Blue Simmes in 15:25 by pinfall with her feet on the ropes to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude, we get to the interviews. An enraged Misty Blue Simmes demands another shot at the cheating television champion. Lisa Moretti reiterates her desire to take on some less experienced competitors. A commercial break then takes us to a tag team bout. Selina Majors is teaming up with her newfound ally Desiree Petersen to take on the team of Peggy Lee Leather and the queen of women’s wrestling, Wendi Richter. The match is fun and competitive, but Wendi Richter is clearly a cut above the others and only her partner is ever in danger of being pinned. Everyone gets a chance to shine but, in the end, Wendi Richter proves that she’s the world champion for a reason. Wendi Richter & Peggy Lee Leather defeat Desiree Petersen & Selina Majors in 13:42 when Wendi Richter pins Selina Majors after a powerbomb When we get to the interviews, the faces are peppy and once again joined by their allies, seemingly undeterred by their loss. Wendi Richter uses her interview time berate the rest of the roster and boast about her invulnerability. The second commercial break then takes us to the main event. Velvet McIntyre and Debbie Combs have warred in the past. They seem to know each other inside and out and spend the first half of the match at a comfortable pace, ever watchful for slip-ups that never materialise. Eventually Debbie Combs realises that her best bet is to get a flash fall and the sprint begins with big moves, blistering strikes and counters on top of counters. With both women having scored several two counts, they appear ready to enter the final sequence of the match when the monstrous trio of Medusa Miceli, Rhonda Singh and Luna Vachon come thundering down to the ring to spoil everything. Medusa Miceli smacks Velvet McIntyre and the bell rings. Velvet McIntyre defeats Debbie Combs in 14:56 by disqualification after interference from Medusa Miceli and retains the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship The trio looks set to initiate another brutal beatdown on their nemesis but an enraged Debbie Combs rallies to her side out of frustration at having a victory she believed was hers snatched from her. Even weary and worn down, the odd pairing manages to catch the threesome off-guard and sent them rushing to the back. The programme ends on a still of the two women, each regarding one another with suspicion.
  3. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XIV – 3rd of March 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West versus Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon & Rhonda Singh for the WWW Trios Championship A snazzy video package briefly details the events of February’s supercard before we get to our traditional television title opening. Misty Blue Simmes is up against the recently debuted Lisa Moretti. The two women fight with full force at a healthy pace, neither one giving an inch. They are fairly evenly matched, with Misty Blue Simmes having a slight competitive edge. Lisa Moretti, on the other hand, is more than ready to go to the well with dirty tactics galore. The finish comes in a flash, with the loser shooting her hand up on the three. Lisa Moretti defeats Misty Blue Simmes in 13:56 by pinfall after a powerslam to win the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude we get to the interviews. Misty Blue Simmes says that she had her shoulder up at the three, by rights the decision should be reversed but that she’d settle for a prompt rematch. Lisa Moretti says she wants to kick her reign off by giving some of the younger talent a shot at her title. A commercial break then takes us to the second match, with Selina Majors taking on Despina Montagas. Leilani Kai, Judy Martin and Liz Chase are, of course, all over the ringside area and proving themselves to be a major nuisance to an otherwise highly determined Selina Majors. In the end, the distractions and interference are too much for the plucky babyface. Despina Montagas defeats Selina Majors in 12:03 by pinfall after a jumping piledriver After a sponsor-filled video interlude we get to the interviews. Selina Majors is in bits, but Desiree Petersen arrives, with Susan Starr and Winona Little Heart in tow, to comfort her and invite her to join their alliance. The heels cackle with glee, saying little of substance and mocking the loser with considerable bite. A second commercial break then takes us onto the main event. The champions arrive with seven title belts between them. The contest fast paced, with enough tags in and out to give every variation of matchups a chance to shine. A few brutal slams from the heels would be match-ending moves in singles competition, but reprieve often comes for the faces in the form of an extraordinarily fired-up Velvet McIntyre, desperate to have some measure of revenge against her attackers from Saturday. After the finish, the fighting continues seamlessly in a wild brawl. Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Medusa Miceli & Luna Vachon & Rhonda Singh in 17:10 when Velvet McIntyre pins Luna Vachon after a flying crossbody to retain the WWW Trios Championship We go off air with a horde of staff members trying to regain control of the situation.
  4. Wonder Women Wrestling FEBRUARY SUPERCARD 1986 Live from: Las Vegas, Nevada This month’s extravaganza starts of hot with an opening match between Desiree Petersen and Leilani Kai. The two women are accompanied by their stablemates and the groups come to blows almost as often as the competitors themselves. The contest is highly interactive with the crowd, featuring an abundance of ringside brawling and interfering heel antics. Eventually, the extra help is enough to net Leilani Kai the victory when a briefly distracted Desiree Petersen is rolled up and kicks out just a split second too late. Leilani Kai defeats Desiree Petersen in 14:14 by pinfall with a schoolboy roll-up After a brief interlude, featuring shots of the roster in assortment of sponsored charitable roles, we get to the interviews. Desire Petersen is buoyed by Susan Starr and Winona Little Heart and manages to sound peppy and ready for a rematch. Leilani Kai claims her victory is a sign that there are bright things in her future. The second match is an altogether different affair. Accompanied by her new allies – Medusa Miceli and Luna Vachon – Rhonda Singh challenges Velvet McIntyre for her dual championship. From bell to bell, the match is stiff and nasty, with only brief interruptions in the striking for big bombs from Rhonda Singh and a few aerial manoeuvres from Velvet McIntyre. Outside interference aides Rhonda Singh somewhat but Medusa Miceli seems unwilling to fully commit, possibly because she hasn’t lost hope of challenging for Velvet McIntyre’s titles herself. Without a major equaliser, Rhonda Singh is eventually worn down and unable to kick out after one last thunderous crossbody from Velvet McIntyre sends her crashing to the mat. Velvet McIntyre defeats Rhonda Singh in 19:31 by pinfall after a flying crossbody to retain the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship After another brief interlude we are sent to what should be the interviews but is, in fact, a savage beatdown on Velvet McIntyre in the back. Medusa Miceli isn’t holding back this time and, along with Luna Vachon and Rhonda Singh, she appears determined to ruin her rival’s chances in the main event. Once the backstage chaos is finally brought under control we head to our penultimate match. Once again for the tag team titles, Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux take on Rockin’ Robin and Jamie West. The two teams by now know each other inside and out and it shows. With very little wasted movement, the match sprints from spot to spot, with team-up and reversals galore. It’s anyone’s match but just so happens to end with the faces on top. Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux in 21:36 when Rockin’ Robin pins Kat LeRoux after a bulldog to retain the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship After a teaser video for the main event, with generous footage for Wendi Richter, Debbie Combs, Velvet McIntyre and Misty Blue Simmes. As for the fifth woman, that mystery remains. The interviews are traditional affairs, with whining and complaining from the heels and energised chatter from the faces. The main event is preceded by theatrical entrances for each woman. A visibly hurt Velvet McIntyre is the first to the ring, followed by Debbie Combs and then Misty Blue Simmes. The mystery woman is out next – the debuting Lisa Moretti, decked out in a sparkly purple singlet. After her comes Wendi Richter, with a lot more pizazz and presentation than the others. From the off, the match is a messy brawl. The only alliance that holds up is the one between Misty Blue Simmes and Velvet McIntyre. Even that duo is ineffective, however, as Velvet McIntyre is operating at half capacity. Wendi Richter is, naturally, the strongest performer but, equally, the most common target. Sensing blood in the water, however, the heels eventually take advantage of Velvet McIntyre’s weakened state and she is the first to be thrown over the top rope and eliminated. Debbie Combs goes after her rival Misty Blue Simmes and the pair have a decent back-and-forth before Lisa Moretti shockingly takes advantage of the situation and helps eliminate Debbie Combs. Wendi Richter intelligently stays away from the other two remaining women as they wear each other down. Misty Blue Simmes comes out of that encounter as the victor and the final act of the match can begin. Wendi Richter avoids going for an easy, however, as she is confident of her ability to put her far more tired opponent away. Their match-within-a-match is very competitive, and Misty Blue Simmes occasionally comes very close to taking home the prize. In the end, Wendi Richter solidifies her dominant position as the world champion and face of the company. Wendi Richter defeats Velvet McIntyre, Debbie Combs, Lisa Moretti and Misty Blue Simmes in 34:29 by surviving an over-the-top-rope battle royal match to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship We end the programme on a shot of the triumphant champion. * P.S. So, my computer broke down and (for the second time now) I've lost all of my documents. This is largely compiled from my memory and almost certainly doesn't conform to my original outline. I apologise in advance if you notice a decline in quality as I try to get myself back into the swing of things.
  5. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XIII – 24th of February 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre versus Luna Vachon for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We’re back to the traditional formula for this episode when the snazzy video package leads us into a television title match, with Misty Blue Simmes taking on Candi Devine. The match is fun and fairly competitive but Misty Blue Simmes doesn’t really ever seem to break a sweat. Misty Blue Simmes defeats Candi Devine in 12:08 by pinfall after a diving splash to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude – including an advert for the upcoming supercard – we come to the interviews. Candi Devine gives us a typically indignant heel rant but Misty Blue Simmes uses her interview time to promise a win in the battle royal. A commercial break then takes us to a tag team bout for the number one contendership to the title. The fiery Penny Mitchell, along with her plucky sidekick Candice Pardue, take on the former champions Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux. The contest proves to be tough for both teams, pushing them to the limits and testing their wherewithal and intelligence. Unfortunately for Penny Mitchell, however, her partner turns out to be the weak link and their opponents are skilled enough team to recognise and exploit this fact. The dramatic conclusion sees Penny Mitchell desperate trying to fight her way into the ring, with Kat LeRoux doing all she can to stop her, and Candice Pardue caught in an agonising submission hold. Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux defeat Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue in 14:20 when Linda Dallas submits Candice Pardue with a boston crab Another interlude – this one filled with photoshoot footage and merchandise adverts – bridges the cap to the aftermath interviews. Penny Mitchell is visibly upset but Candice Pardue tries to retain her usual peppy attitude, declaring their loss a minor bump in the road. Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux promise, with dark glee, that they’ll take back their titles and making the Star Girls suffer for the trouble. Before our main event we have our second commercial break. The action is fast and furious within seconds of the bell ringing as we get our first serious look at Luna Vachon in action. With fellow monster Medusa Miceli in her corner, Luna Vachon is vocal and violent throughout, putting Velvet McIntyre through the ringer. The champion never appears to be in especially serious danger, but the point is moot, in the end, as Medusa Miceli interferes to prevent a pinfall after Velvet McIntyre delivers an impactful crossbody. The two painted women then subject Velvet McIntyre to a nasty beat down before the Star Girls run down to make the save, driving off the heels and hoisting the groggy champion onto their shoulders to give us freeze frame full of gold when we go off air. Velvet McIntyre defeats Luna Vachon in 16:47 by disqualification after interference from Medusa Miceli and retains the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship
  6. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XII – 17th of February 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Misty Blue Simmes versus Rhonda Singh for the WWW Television Championship With the television title match being bumped up to the main event, the programme opens in a less traditional manner, with video packages and music videos before the opening contest can get underway. Accompanied by Rhonda Singh, KC Houston takes on Vicky Carranza in a quick and punchy affair. The two opponents are fairly evenly matched but KC Houston’s underhanded tactics – not to mention the help she receives from Rhonda Singh – tips the balance in the heel’s favour. KC Houston defeats Vicky Carranza in 08:59 by pinfall after clothesline After a brief interlude, we move onto a short Spanish-language interview with a dejected Vicky Carranza. KC Houston’s interview barely gets off the ground, however, before Rhonda Singh interrupts her – not that anyone dares to complain – and vows to leave Misty Blue Simmes a broken and bloody mess in the main event. A commercial break then takes us onto some tag team action, with Penny Mitchell and Candice Pardue taking on Leilani Kai and Judy Martin in a fierce battle over the hotly contested tag team rankings. The heels are accompanied, as always, by their allies, in the form of Liz Chase and Despina Montagas. The contest is back-and-forth, with quick tags in-and-out and double team spots. Outside interference gets the crowd riled up but just as often backfires on the heels as helps. In the end, its anyone’s match but Penny Mitchell is in just the right place at just the right to take advantage of a worn-out Judy Martin desperately in need of a tag. Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue defeat Leilani Kai & Judy Martin in 13:47 when Penny Mitchell pins Judy Martin with a schoolboy roll up The interview with the heels is tense, with Leilani Kai needling her team and prying promises to do better from them. Penny Mitchell and Candice Pardue are over the moon and say they’ll smash the Nasty Girls next week. Our final commercial break then takes us to the main event. Misty Blue Simmes and Rhonda Singh fight as stiffly as they can manage, ensuring they’re sweaty, sore and visibly angry for most of the match. In the end, however, despite the extra effort expended, Misty Blue Simmes still has the edge and proves impossible to fell for the former champion. Misty Blue Simmes defeats Rhonda Singh in 16:21 by pinfall after a diving splash to retain the WWW Television Championship
  7. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. XI – 10th of February 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Velvet McIntyre for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We open hot this week with the television championship match underway within seconds. Rhonda Singh faces her toughest challenge yet against former world champion Misty Blue Simmes. Along with the title, the two women are also fighting for a place in the battle royal at the end of the month. The two women hit hard and throw bombs, trying to take pieces out of each other. Fuelled by rage and indication, Rhonda Singh packs an extra punch but Misty Blue Simmes sees the perfect opportunity to get momentum back on her side by vanquishing a woman who’s so far struggled at the main event level. The finish is a battle of the splashes. Rhonda Singh misses her own and, groggy and supine on the mat, takes a thunderous one from the challenger. Misty Blue Simmes defeats Rhonda Singh in 13:58 by pinfall after a diving splash to win the WWW Television Championship After a very brief video package interlude we get to the interviews. An outraged Rhonda Singh says that, having worked harder than anyone else, she should still get a place in the battle royal. Misty Blue Simmes, meanwhile, is all smiles, fussing over title belt, and she says that her victory today is a sign of things to come. We cut to a commercial break and return for some tag team action. Having taken onboard her partner’s advice, Penny Mitchell stands ready with Candice Pardue to take on the rookie heels Ashly Kennedy and Brittany Brown. Penny Mitchell leads the match and dominates its affairs, learning to trust her partner more as the match goes on. The other team’s dirty tactics frequently catch out Candice Pardue but are very easily thwarted by Penny Mitchell. Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue defeat Brittany Brown & Ashly Kennedy in 12:30 when Penny Mitchell pins Ashly Kennedy after a swinging neck breaker After another interlude – filled with photoshoot footage and merchandise plugging – we get to the interviews. The heels are shouty and in bits, gutted by the loss and promising to get their revenge. The babyfaces are over the moon and Penny Mitchell says she’ll stick to tag team action from now on and that the Star Girls better watch out. A second commercial break then brings us to our main event. Velvet McIntyre and Medusa Miceli are not only fighting for the twin championships around the latter’s waist but also for a spot in the battle royal. As things get underway, the commentary informs us that Luna Vachon has been banned from ringside. With a fair fight to contend with, Medusa Miceli is on the backfoot against a wild and fired-up Velvet McIntyre. This being their fourth contest, the two opponents seem to know each other inside and out and the match, especially in the early going, is full of counters, reversals and near misses. The finish comes after a German suplex from Medusa Miceli. Velvet McIntyre has enough ring awareness to roll herself under the bottom rope, preventing a pin attempt. An enraged Medusa Miceli throws a little too much of a tantrum, giving her challenger enough time to wearily stir herself. When the champion steps out, she is violently yanked from the apron and crashes to the ringside floor. This gives Velvet McIntyre the opportunity to go for something risking. She gets onto the ring apron and waits for her opponent to get to her feet before nailing a diving crossbody. Both women are eventually up and in the ring by the count of nine – a decision the champ would come to regret – and both bounce to opposite sides of the ring for a clothesline. The each hit the other and crumble back to the ground. Velvet McIntyre is the one with the wherewithal to drag herself over the top of her opponent and secure the three. Velvet McIntyre defeats Medusa Miceli in 17:09 by pinfall after a clothesline to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We end on shot of a particularly sweaty and weary dual champion.
  8. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. X – 3rd of February 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase versus Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West for the WWW Trios Championship With fresh footage from the supercard, a snazzy video package opens the show shortly before the television championship match. Rhonda Singh has to see off a challenge from Desiree Petersen. With moral support – not to mention the added benefit of keeping the champ from cheating too blatantly – of Susan Starr and Winona Little Heart, the challenger puts in her very best effort to upset the dominant victor of the promotion’s first ever cage match. Rhonda Singh is true to form, however, showing only the barest signs of wear and wear from her bloody encounter at the supercard. Desiree Petersen tries valiantly but, ultimately, fails to put together a winning series. Rhonda Singh defeats Desiree Petersen in 13:41 by pinfall after a splash to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude, we get to the interviews. Desiree Petersen is buoyed by her stablemates and refuses to be disoriented by the loss. Rhonda Singh demands a shot at the world title, intimidating the interviewer into agreeing with her. After a commercial break, we get to a qualifying match for, as the commentators explain, a battle royal match for the world title at the end of the month. An extremely irritable and aggressive Debbie Combs takes on Penny Mitchell – a woman who’s still obviously not at 100% after her cage match at the supercard. Debbie Combs is dominant and vicious. Being exceptionally vicious, however, occasionally comes at her own expense as Penny Mitchell is able to mount quite a few comebacks on the back of her opponent being distracted and chewed out by the referee. No amount of babyface fire is enough to put Debbie Combs away, however, and Penny Mitchell eventually grants the heel some much needed momentum. Debbie Combs defeats Penny Mitchell in 11:57 by pinfall after a neck breaker A funky graphic shows Debbie Combs being placed into the brackets of a battle royal, alongside the world champion Wendi Richter of course. Then we get to the interviews, with Candice Pardue convincing her partner to try focusing on tag team action and Debbie Combs gushing about the victory and promising to take the title. A final commercial break takes us to the main event for the trios’ title. The match is a fun back-and-forth with plenty of tags and a few multi-woman spots but with all of the shine going to Velvet McIntyre, who consistently outwrestles whoever she’s in the ring with and regularly saves her teammates from abuse. Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase in 16:27 when Velvet McIntyre pins Liz Chase after a flying crossbody to win the WWW Trios Championship Without any time for interviews, we end with a shot of the celebrating trio holding their hoard of gold and silver. * P.S. Thanks for the feedback, sir. My primary intention, especially early in the year, is to try making the roster look competitive.
  9. Wonder Women Wrestling JANUARY SUPERCARD 1986 Live from: Las Vegas, Nevada The programme kicks off with a promotional music video for the newly transformed Luna Vachon before moving on with the sponsor-heavy typical opening package and a plug for the merchandise catalogue. The opening match sees Medusa Miceli, accompanied by her new follower, look to defend her newly won twin titles against the former champion Velvet McIntyre in a rematch from just three days ago. The contest is clean and technical to begin but eventually builds to a violent brawl as the two women become increasingly enraged with one another, trading stiff strikes to the chest. With the slight edge still going to Velvet McIntyre, Luna Vachon eventually intervenes to protect her partner’s titles and clocks the challenger over the head in full view of the referee. Velvet McIntyre defeats Medusa Miceli in 18:03 by disqualification after interference from Luna Vachon but the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship do not change hands. A sponsorship plug serves as our interlude before we get to the interviews. Before Medusa Miceli can answer any questions, however, Velvet McIntyre confronts her and demands a rematch without Luna Vachon’s involvement. Medusa Miceli’s counteroffer of a tag team match is eventually accepted after a heated row. A protracted commercial segment fills up the time needed for the crew to set up the cage for the next match – Penny Mitchell taking on the dominant television champion Rhonda Singh in a non-title grudge match. The match begins with a flurry of offence from Penny Mitchell who knows how important is to keep Rhonda Singh exhausted and enraged. None of the big moves in her arsenal are capable of keeping the monster down for so much as a two count, however, and she inevitably slips up. A flying crossbody is reserved into a backbreaker and its all downhill from there, as Rhonda Singh takes her time to torture her bring, grinding her face against the steel mesh, much to the horror of Candice Pardue at ringside. It eventually becomes far too much for Penny Mitchell’s partner and she feigns an attempt to scale the cage in a desperate bid to distract the big woman. It works and Penny Mitchell is able to roll Rhonda Singh up with a schoolboy. Despite pressing down as hard as she can, however, she is practically thrown across the ring at a count of two. Groggy and bloody by this point, Penny Mitchell tries to go back to her initial strategy. Her tactics fail when she mistimes an attempt to run the ropes and gets leathered with a clothesline. A supine Penny Mitchell is an easy target for the splash and the match ends in predictable fashion. Rhonda Singh defeats Penny Mitchell in 19:32 by pinfall after a splash After another sponsor-filled interlude we get to the interviews. Whereas Penny Mitchell lets Candice Pardue speak for her, calling for another rematch, Rhonda Singh says that she expects to now be truly done with her. The next match is for the tag team titles, with the Star Girls – Rockin’ Robin and Jamie West – looking to convert their recent success into a victory over the team they failed to beat in November, the Nasty Girls – Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux. The match is much more traditional than the match immediately prior, with an emphasis on classic tag team spots and ringside brawling. Whilst the heels are as wily and tough as ever, the faces have improved by leaps and bounds since the two teams’ last encounter. The finish comes fast after a hot tag to Rockin’ Robin. Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux in 18:56 when Rockin’ Robin pins Kat LeRoux after a bulldog to win the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship After a montage of footage from a promotional calendar photoshoot, we arrive at the interviews. The Nasty Girls have only one word to describe their loss – fluke. The Star Girls jubilant and answer questions in the kind of scattered excitement that leaves the viewer unsure of the exact words but certain of the meaning. The next match on the card is the main event. No expense is spared for the entrance of Wendi Richter as she takes on Misty Blue Simmes, who looks to establish the pattern of the night by overturning her loss to the champ in November. Both women pull out all the stops to top their prior match. The finish involves a nasty bump at ringside, with Wendi Richter nailing her opponent with a powerbomb and counting on a cheap victory. Misty Blue Simmes enters the ring at a count of nine, however, and crashes into the champ. Predictably, Wendi Richter is the first to her feet and ends Misty Blue Simmes with a second savage powerbomb. Wendi Richter defeats Misty Blue Simmes in 22:40 by pinfall after a powerbomb to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship After a final sponsorship spot, we get to the final interviews. Misty Blue Simmes claims that she’ll eventually have what it takes to dethrone Wendi Richter. We end on the champion boasting of her greatness, holding up her title and asking for a real challenge.
  10. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. IX – 27th of January 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre versus Medusa Miceli for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship With all most everyone on the roster having had a fair amount of screen time, a new video package kicks of the show, with a hair metal accompaniment. Getting a chance to prove herself outside of her aborted tag team with Trudy Vachon, Selina Majors challenges for the television championship in the opening match. During the traditional back-and-forth affair, the commentators mention that Penny Mitchell won’t be allowed into the arena until the match has concluded. Thus, with no distractions, Rhonda Singh is working at full capacity and proves just too strong and ferocious for Selina Majors to deal with. Rhonda Singh defeats Selina Majors in 11:04 by pinfall after a splash to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief interlude, we get to the interviews. Selina Majors appears deeply disappointed with herself for losing her second match in a row but promises to fight on. Rhonda Singh only manages to get a few words in before a furious Penny Mitchell blitzes her way down the corridor and comes flying at her. We cut to a commercial break on the scenes of a chaotic brawl between the two bitter enemies. Next up is a tag team match with none other than the world champion herself, Wendi Richter. Coming down to the ring with her partner Peggy Lee Leather, every effort is made to ensure that the audience understand that Wendi Richter is queen of the promotion and the world title her crown. They take on the energetic crowd-pleasing team of Misty Blue Simmes and Babyface Nellie in a highly competitive match up. The narrative of the contest is simple; as a singles star Wendi Richter has the edge but, as a unit, the faces hold a slight advantage. After failing to put away the fiery Misty Blue Simmes, a frustrated Wendi Richter makes the mistake of tagging her partner in. Peggy Lee Leather walks right into a trap and the match is over to Wendi Richter’s outrage. Misty Blue Simmes & Babyface Nellie defeat Wendi Richter & Peggy Lee Leather in 13:51 when Misty Blue Simmes pins Peggy Lee Leather with an inside cradle After a brief interlude, Peggy Lee Leather answers the interviewer’s questions, in front of a silent and fuming Wendi Richter, half-heartedly accusing Misty Blue Simmes of cheating. The faces are over the moon with their victory and, after some prodding, Misty Blue Simmes says she’s capable of beating the world champ despite coming up short in November. Another commercial break then takes us onto our main event for Velvet McIntyre’s twin titles. Medusa Miceli launches at her opponent to get the bell hastily rung and the match officially begins. The two women trade strikes and holds at a brisk pace, with a slight advantage going to the champion. The match is fairly standard except for the finish when Trudy Vachon storms down to the ring like a woman possessed – with a long black wig, leather and chain attire to match and a blue thunderstorm painted on her face. Medusa Miceli grabs a chair from ringside, getting the referee’s attention. This provides Trudy Vachon with an opportunity to take Velvet McIntyre by surprise and nail her with a power bomb, at which point the challenger drops her weapon and re-enters the ring. Medusa Miceli defeats Velvet McIntyre in 15:47 by pinfall after interference from Trudy Vachon to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We go off the air to image of the new champion and her terrifying minion.
  11. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. VIII – 20th of January 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Winona Little Heart The show gets started straight away with a debuting Lady Apache taking on the apparent gatekeeper of the promotion, Rhonda Singh. For added spice, Penny Mitchell is on commentary and takes every opportunity to degrade and enrage the champion at every turn. The result is a match which is far closer than would generally be expected, as Rhonda Singh is unbalanced and distracted by her rival’s antics at various points. It’s not enough for the challenger, however, and the champion’s foul mood eventually boils over and ends in a bizarre of savage offence. Rhonda Singh defeats Lady Apache in 12:40 by pinfall after a splash to retain the WWW Television Championship Afterwards, Rhonda Singh storms over to the announce desk and pulls Penny Mitchell out and over it, tossing her against the ring apron and then stomping a mudhole in her. By the time enough staff members and babyfaces have appeared to tear her away, time for interviews has elapsed and we cut to a commercial break. We return for tag team action, with Rockin’ Robin and Jamie West looking to truly redeem themselves with a decisive victory over an intimidating team – in the form of Leilani Kai and Judy Martin. In traditional crowd-pleasing form, the contest plays out slowly and evenly until the chaotic finish. The Nasty Girls rush down to the ring to take out the babyfaces. Kat LeRoux distracts the referee, whilst Linda Dallas gets on the ring apron to deliver a blow to the face-in-peril Rockin’ Robin. Leilani Kai brings Rockin’ Robin up for an Irish whip, but it gets reversed. With the heel now hurtling towards her, Linda Dallas leans away without realising that Jamie West has made her way over. With a simple hair pull, she manages to bring the foreheads of Leilani Kai and Linda Dallas to a violent collision. Kat LeRoux rushes over to check on her fallen partner, freeing the referee up to count the subsequent pin attempt. Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Leilani Kai & Judy Martin in 13:11 when Rockin’ Robin pins Leilani Kai after a bulldog After an interlude, filled with merchandise shilling and promotional clips, we get to the interviews. Leilani Kai is seething with rage, demanding the chance, interestingly enough, on the Nasty Girls. The faces, by contrast, are ecstatic and promise to take the tag team titles at the supercard. A second commercial break takes us to the main event. Medusa Miceli comes to the ring with a sour expression on her face, clearly still angry about the loss of her championship. Winona Little Heart, on the other hand, is all smiles as she looks forward to capitalising on the opportunity afforded to her by her brief reign as television champ. The narrative of the match develops quickly, with Winona Little Heart taking advantage of every slip-up her emotionally unbalanced opponent makes and Medusa Miceli in turn tortures with holds and abuses the five count on rope breaks. Eventually, Medusa Miceli’s intensity makes the difference. Medusa Miceli defeats Winona Little Heart in 15:29 by pinfall after a German suplex The programme ends on the image of a vicious and victorious monstress. * P.S. Thanks again for the feedback! Also, I've just noticed that I randomly started misspelling Jamie West's name, so I'll go back and fix that.
  12. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. VII – 13th of January 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Velvet McIntyre for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and the NWA Texas Women’s Championship A typically snazzy video package gets us started on another week of action from our Wonder Women. The first match sees a debuting Babyface Nellie taking on the monstrous television champion Rhonda Singh. The match serves initially as a showcase for Babyface Nellie, letting her display her move set and give the champ a bit of a scare. A surprise powerslam is all it takes for the bigger and stronger Rhonda Singh to completely turn the tables on the challenger. Rhonda Singh defeats Babyface Nellie in 10:22 by pinfall after a splash to retain the WWW Television Championship After a brief sponsored interlude, we get to the interviews. Babyface Nellie promises to improve her technique and get the better of Rhonda Singh at the nearest opportunity. Rhonda Singh is asked about her non-title match at the upcoming January Supercard, against Penny Mitchell. She claims that she has asked Pat Patterson for a steel cage! After that bombshell we cut to a commercial break, and then onto a tag team match teased the previous week, with the new team of Brittany Brown and Ashly Kennedy taking on the increasingly impressive team of Rockin’ Robin and Jamie West. Fitting their recent successes, the faces hold the advantage throughout and use the match as a showcase to foreshadow a possible challenge for the tag titles. The current champions Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux sit at the commentary booth for this match and mercilessly mock and denigrate them. Rockin Robin’ & Jamie West defeat Brittany Brown & Ashly Kennedy in 11:37 when Rockin’ Robin pins Ashly Kennedy after a bulldog After the match, the tag champs predictably descend on the ring and, with the help of the match’s sore losers, give the Star Girls and nasty kicking until an army of staff members can regain control of the situation and we cut to a commercial break. The main event is a spectacular contest, designed to be as exciting as possible, with both women going at a break-neck pace to deliver their offence. Neither participant has a clear advantage and even the finish is an extremely close three count. Velvet McIntyre defeats Medusa Miceli in 15:51 by pinfall after a flying crossbody to win the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship and retain the NWA Texas Women’s Championship We end on a scene of a jubilant double champion. * P.S. Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'll start responding to it in the postscript from now on (I generally want to be in the habit of only posting in the thread to update it with content and I couldn't think of a good way to mix in miscellaneous comments). I'm not an expert by any means, but I've certainly never come across blood in 80s American women's wrestling, replacing 80s with 90s and American with Japanese is a different story of course. I think blood is very important in professional wrestling, however, and the extent to which a company is be booked to meet my personal preferences is the extent to which it will indulge in a meaningful dash of blood. You'll notice that I have been ambiguous as to the finer details of broadcasting and venue - this is precisely because I am far from confident as to the viability of a product the likes of which I am producing (outside of a niche market).
  13. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. VI – 6th of January 1986 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Winona Little Heart versus Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase for the WWW Trios Championship The company’s latest opening promotional video includes the phrase “THE STARS OF 1986” and tires to sell the pace of the in-ring action and the glamour of the women involved. The opening bout sees Winona Little Heart look to defend her new television title in a rematch against the former champion Rhonda Singh. The early going of the match looks good for Winona Little Heart. She has fire in her belly, desperate to cement herself as the new television champion and get it done quickly. Set to fight again the main event, to help defend her trios title, the champion knows she cannot afford to have the contest be dragged out. Rhonda Singh is intimately aware of this, as well, and the commentators inform us that Penny Mitchell has been banned from ringside for the duration of the match, per Pat Patterson’s orders. In the end, Winona Little Heart comes up short. Rhonda Singh defeats Winona Little Heart in 12:59 by pinfall after a splash to win the WWW Television Championship In a rage, Rhonda Singh refuses to let up once the bell rings, however, and she beats her opponent bloody. Winona Little Heart’s stablemates eventually rush down to the ring to chase Rhonda Singh away. Making her way to the back, Rhonda Singh is jumped by Penny Mitchell who gives the startled and exhausted champ a beating of her own before staff are able to regain control of the situation. With no time for interviews, we cut to commercial. The following match is features three debutants, along with Trudy Vachon – returning to action with a full head of hair after a vicious attack at the supercard. Along with her partner, Selina Majors, Trudy Vachon is going up against Brittany Brown and Ashley Kennedy. The heavily scripted and rehearsed match is a very traditional affair, with an even level of offence from the two teams and quick tags in and out. The finish comes when a particularly nasty Brittany Brown ends up tearing the wig from Trudy Vachon’s head. Despite Selina Majors’ best efforts to coax her distraught tag partner back into the match, Trudy Vachon flees, even knocking Selina Majors onto her back, flat on the hard ramp. Brittany Brown & Ashley Kennedy defeat Selina Majors & Trudy Vachon in 09:47 by count out After a brief interlude, we go to the interviews. With Trudy Vachon nowhere to be seen, Selina Majors claims that she had the match won and that she wants the chance to bring a new partner to a rematch. The heels cackle with glee at the fate of Trudy Vachon, rebuff Selina Majors’ demand for a rematch, and claim they are ready to challenge the Star Girls. Our second commercial break takes us to the six-woman main event. The story of the match is built up right from the off, focusing on the weakness of Winona Little Heart – not properly recovered from her earlier beatdown – and the addition of the exceptionally wily Leilani Kai to the heel side. Predictably, the contest ends with Winona Little Heart finally tagging in to relieve her outmatched partners, only to be completely demolished by a sadistic Leilani Kai. Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase defeat Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Winona Little Heart in 14:36 when Leilani Kai pins Winona Little Heart after a big boot to win the WWW Trios Championship With no time for interviews, we go off the air on the image of a jubilant heel trio, joined by their faction’s fourth member, Despina Montagas.
  14. I'm searching up and down the thread - and I could be missing something - but it appears as thought we're missing Ivory / Lisa Moretti / Tina Ferrari. She debuted in 1986. Would anyone object if she were to be added in as a free agent?
  15. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. V – 30th of December 1985 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre & Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West versus Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux & Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase After a lightning-quick recap of the December Supercard, the show kicks off in the traditional fashion with a match for the television title. Rhonda Singh looks to defend against the plucky underdog Winona Little Heart. Overconfident, Rhonda Singh ends up letting a few too many things slip, and the contest becomes far more competitive than either she or the audience were expecting. Winona Little Heart doesn’t let her success go to her head, however, and she plays a smart strategy trying to take the champion off her feet whenever possible and escape as many dangerous holds and slams as she can. To Rhonda Singh’s infinite rage, the finish comes when Penny Mitchell appears at the entrance ramp. She doesn’t come down to the ring, but her arrival is enough to distract her nemesis and net Winona Little Heart a flash pinfall, with a kickout coming a split second after the three. Winona Little Heart defeats Rhonda Singh in 10:05 by pinfall with a schoolboy roll-up to win the WWW Television Championship After the interlude, neither interview consists of much coherent thought, as Rhonda Singh paces about, screaming at the top of her lungs and throwing chairs and other bits of miscellaneous arena equipment and Winona Little Heart is overwhelmed by joy and the adulation of her cheering stablemates. After the commercial break, we get to see the debut of Candi Devine. She comes to the ring costumed in a leopard print singlet and a black feather boa draped around her neck. Her opponent, Vicky Carranza, puts in a decent performance but the match is largely a showcase for the debutant, who gets most of the offence. Candi Devine defeats Vicky Carranza in 07:42 by pinfall after a running crossbody A brief recap of Wendi Richter’s recent title defence comes next, before a short Spanish-language interview with Vicky Carranza. In her segment, Candi Devine says she’s here to make a mark and has aspirations of becoming the world champion. After the second commercial break, we’re onto the main event, fun ten-woman tag match, replete with elaborate spots and lots of crowd interaction and ringside brawling. Everyone gets some time to shine and the showdown ends predictably, with the biggest babyface getting the pin. Velvet McIntyre & Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Rockin’ Robin & Jamie West defeat Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux & Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Liz Chase in 16:17 when Velvet McIntyre pins Judy Martin after a flying crossbody With that, the commentators wish everyone a happy new year and we go off the air.
  16. Wonder Women Wrestling DECEMBER SUPERCARD 1985 Live from: Las Vegas, Nevada With footage from a run of television at their disposal, along with professional photoshoots, the opening video package is snazzier than ever, with the promotion’s many sponsors frequently credited, and the star of the show – Wendi Richter – given a heavy emphasis. The opening contest is for the tag team titles, pitting the reigning champions, the Nasty Girls, against the mentor-trainee pairing of Penny Mitchell and Candice Pardue. The match gets off to a roaring start with fast-paced action and neither team in possession of a clear advantage. Past the five-minute mark, however, things start picking up for the faces, with a three close two-count and the Nasty Girls being forced to resort to time-wasting just to survive. This pays off for them when an enraged Rhonda Singh storms to the ring and yanks Candice Pardue off the apron. Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue defeat Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux in 09:01 by disqualification after interference from Rhonda Singh and the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship does not change hands With the bell ringing, Rhonda Singh goes to town, taking a steel chair to the knee of Candice Pardue several times before a hoard of officials can tear it away from her and escort her backstage and, per an update later given by the commentators, out of the arena. We cut to an advertisement for the Wonder Women Wrestling merchandise catalogue before getting to the interviews. The Nasty Girls are informed that Pat Patterson is considering rescheduling the match for later in the show and they become apoplectic, screaming that the match is over and that they should be done for the night. The interview with the victors takes place in the medic’s office, with Candice Pardue being tended to. She promises that she’ll be 100% in no time at all and wants to take advantage of Pat Patterson’s offer. Penny Mitchell urges her to reconsider this, but her mind is firmly made up. The second match sees Rockin’ Robin – on a demoralising losing streak – up against Despina Montagas. With three women in her corner, compared to just one for her opponent, Despina Montagas has a distinct advantage and presses this at every turn, with a foot pool or sucker punch from the outside at seemingly every turn. For some babyfaces in the back, in particular Desiree Petersen, Susan Starr and Winona Little Heart, this all eventually becomes a bit too much and run down to turn the tables. The resulting altercation catches Despina Montagas off-guard and Rockin’ Robin takes full advantage. Rockin’ Robin defeats Despina Montagas in 08:35 by pinfall with a schoolboy roll-up After a familiar interlude, the interviews commence, and Despina Montagas predictably rants and raves about being distracted by the blatant outside interference of the back-up faces. Rockin’ Robin cherishes her victory and celebrates with Jamie West. Next up is a re-run of the tag team title match. Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux clearly resent even being there and wear sourpuss expressions that turn into looks of ruthless determination in short order. The match initially plays out like a tighter and stiffer version of their earlier go-round before morphing into a different narrative. Penny Mitchell is clearly reluctant to tag Candice Pardue in too often and, as a result, becomes far more exhausted and worn down than either of her opponents – eliminating the advantage that the babyfaces seemed to have. Penny Mitchell seems to be vindicated in the end when she tags her partner in for the last time and, after considerable targeting of the knee, completely falls apart. Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux defeat Penny Mitchell & Candice Pardue in 14:21 when Linda Dallas submitted Candice Pardue with a single leg crab to retain the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship When get to the interviews, Penny Mitchell covers for a teary Candice Pardue as says she believes that they would’ve won the titles earlier in the night with Rhonda Singh had not interfered. Linda Dallas and Kat LeRoux are equal parts overjoyed and angry, lathering themselves with praise for overcoming an attempt to screw them out of their titles and mocking the faces for failing to take advantage of a second chance. A more traditional bout comes next, with Misty Blue Simmes and Debbie Combs taking each other to the limit. The match is even, interactive and relatively clean with a fan-pleasing outcome to top it off. Misty Blue Simmes defeats Debbie Combs in 15:43 by pinfall after a diving splash A video package plays, hyping up the main event, before we get to the interviews. An angry Debbie Combs refuses to be interviewed and Misty Blue Simmes says she expects to be back in the world title picture regardless of the outcome of tonight’s main event. The penultimate match is for the fighting spirit title, with Medusa Miceli facing her hand-picked opponent of Trudy Vachon in a curious rematch. As might be expected, Medusa Miceli brutalises her opponent and uses the match as a showcase for her move set, savagely punishing every turn-around, counter, reversal and kickout. Just before the finish we get a well-rehearsed spot as Trudy Vachon nails the champion with an uppercut out of nowhere that sends her into the corner. Medusa Miceli rises to her feet with hatred in her eyes and blood dripping from her mouth, tying Trudy Vachon in knots before she can capitalise on the wound and finishing the match. Medusa Miceli defeats Trudy Vachon in 10:59 by pinfall after a German suplex to retain the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship After a video package, we get to the interviews. Just as Trudy Vachon begins to speak, however, she is blindsided by an attack from an enraged and bloody Medusa Miceli. Pinning her to the concrete floor, Medusa Miceli takes a pair of clippers to her victim’s scalp, messily shaving her head half bald before stomping a mudhole in her. After taking a few moments to let that settle in, we move on to the main event. With Velvet McIntyre trying to dethrone Wendi Richter, we get a long, well-paced and technically minded bout. The power advantage goes to Wendi Richter, the agility advantage goes to Velvet McIntyre, so it all seems to come down to who wants it more. The finish comes after a missed flying crossbody from the challenger. Wendi Richter defeats Velvet McIntyre in 21:26 by pinfall after a powerbomb to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship This time around with have an opportunity for interviews. Velvet McIntyre claims she took the champ to the limit but, all the same, that the better woman won, and she needs to step up her game. Wendi Richter is haughty as all get-out and claims that she’s untouchable, a cut above every other woman in the company and, on that note, the show goes off air.
  17. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. IV – 23rd of December 1985 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Wendi Richter & Debbie Combs versus Velvet McIntyre & Misty Blue Simmes The programme opens as usual but with advertisements specifically for the upcoming December Supercard interspersed. The opening match sees Penny Mitchell looking to make good on her threat two weeks prior to avenge her protégé Candice Pardue’s loss to the television champion. The contest is competitive, with the slight edge actually going to Penny Mitchell. A particularly nasty spot changes everything, however, when Rhonda Singh uses the ring ropes to choke her opponent out. In her mentor’s corner, Candice Pardue becomes increasingly upset as such tactics continue throughout the match. Eventually, it appears that Rhonda Singh has decided to seek a disqualification, one way or another, as she refuses to break another choke on the top rope. Just before the five count, Candice Pardue socks the champion square in the face. Rhonda Singh defeats Penny Mitchell in 11:34 by disqualification after interference from Candice Pardue and retains the WWW Television Championship After the interlude we come to the interviews. A hoarse Penny Mitchell promises to give Rhonda Singh a receipt the next time they meet. For her part, Rhonda Singh is enraged and demands she be given an opportunity to get revenge on Candice Pardue. A commercial break takes us to our second championship bout of the night as Rockin’ Robin challenges Medusa Miceli for the fighting spirit title. The champion wrestles circles around the plucky babyface, allowing her brief hope spots as much to torture her as anything. Medusa Miceli defeats Rockin’ Robin in 10:02 by pinfall after a German suplex to retain the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship Fittingly, in the interviews, Rockin’ Robin appears utterly dispirited until Jamie West appears to lighten the mood and declare 1986 to be the year of the Star Girls. Medusa Miceli is asked who she would like to face on Saturday and, interestingly, replies that she would like to offer Trudy Vachon a rematch, though she refuses to explain why. Another commercial break takes us to the main event, with Wendi Richter coming out last. The structure of the match would be familiar to fans of Houston Wrestling, with a narrative as follows; Wendi Richter is the strongest competitor in the match overall, but the faces have a far easier time communicating and cooperating with one another. Everyone gets time to shine and each of the four arrangements of opponents is given a good showing. The finish comes after one too many arguments causes Debbie Combs to abandon the match and refuse to tag in to relieve an exhausted Wendi Richter. Velvet McIntyre & Misty Blue Simmes defeat Wendi Richter & Debbie Combs in 16:12 when Velvet McIntyre pins Wendi Richter after a flying crossbody We end, ahead of the Saturday Supercard and its world championship main event, on the visual of the challenger pinning the champion.
  18. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. III – 16th of December 1985 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Velvet McIntyre versus Rhonda Singh The programme opens, after a flashy promotional music video, on a match for the television title between Rhonda Singh and Winona Little Heart. The commentators explain that Pat Patterson has granted Rhonda Singh a shot at the world title, provided she can beat Velvet McIntyre in the main event after fulfilling her obligations as the television champion. Clearly desirous of a swift end to the contest, Rhonda Singh brutalises her opponent with a series of body slam before going for an overambitious pin attempt. The champion’s growing frustration and impatience gives Winona Little Heart a brief opening and she heads up to the top turnbuckle, only to have her flying crossbody turned into a scoop slam when she’s caught. Rhonda Singh defeats Winona Little Heart in 07:58 by pinfall after a body splash to retain the WWW Television Championship The interviews commence after a merchandise advert. Winona Little Heart is quiet and contrite, whereas Rhonda Singh is aggressive and boastful, promising to batter Velvet McIntyre black and blue and then to dethrone Wendi Richter. A commercial break takes us to the promotion’s first eight-woman tag team match, as Leilani Kai, Judy Martin, Despina Montagas and Liz Chase face Desiree Petersen, Susan Starr, Jamie West and Rockin’ Robin. Serving as a showcase for Leilani Kai and a preview of potential trios’ title match, the heels hold the decisive edge throughout, with the part of the face-in-peril mainly being played by the crowd pleasing Rockin’ Robin. Competitive and fun, it comes to a conclusion with a bit of cheating after a big boot. Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & Despina Montagas & Liz Chase defeat Desiree Petersen & Susan Starr & Jamie West & Rockin’ Robin in 12:04 when Leilani Kai pins Jaime West with her feet on the ropes When we come to the interviews, the faces are frazzled and teary-eyed, clearly ruined about the night’s implications for a potential trios’ title defence. The heels, by contrast, are ecstatic, fawning and gushing over Leilani Kai, who promises to keep their success going forever. A final commercial break moves us on to the main event. The story of the match develops early on. Rhonda Singh has the size and strength advantage but she’s not 100%, following her title defence earlier in the night. Velvet McIntyre has intelligence on her side and tries to tire her opponent out at every opportunity, with Irish whips and even the occasional heelish trip to the outside. The contest culminates with a spot replicating the finish of the opening match. Velvet McIntyre heads up to the top rope, seemingly for a crossbody. Rhonda Singh feigns being disoriented before snapping to attention and opening her arms to catch her once she’s in the air. Instead of a crossbody, however, Rhonda Singh takes a missile dropkick to the chest. Velvet McIntyre defeats Rhonda Singh in 14:31 by pinfall after a missile dropkick We end on a shot of an enraged Rhonda Singh and a joyous Velvet McIntyre.
  19. For my part, I've spotted: Brandi Mae (real name Trudy Adams, "Amy the Farmer's Daughter" in GLOW), Heidi Lee Morgan, Malia Hosaka, and Princess Delta Dawn. Edit: I originally also included Cynthia Moreno but I can't find any evidence of her ever wrestling in North America.
  20. Wonder Women of Wrestling – Episode No. II – 9th of December 1985 – Airing Live! – Las Vegas, Nevada Advertised Match: Medusa Miceli versus Desiree Petersen for the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship After the glitzy opening video package, we come to our first match as Rhonda Singh looks to make her first defence of the television championship against Trudy Vachon. Decked out in silver and white, Trudy Vachon fights the good fight, getting a few hits in here and there, but she poses little threat to Rhonda Singh, who demolishes her quite handily. Rhonda Singh defeats Trudy Vachon in 08:12 by pinfall after a body splash to retain the WWW Television Championship After a promotional package for the December supercard, promising us Wendi Richter versus Velvet McIntyre, we get to the interviews. The soft-spoken and polite Trudy Vachon plans to learn from here defeat and to better next time. Rhonda Singh demands to know, presumably from Pat Patterson, how make defences she’ll need to make of the television title before she’s entitled to a shot at the world championship. After a commercial break, we open back up on a tag team bout. Liz Chase and Judy Martin are up against Jaime West and Rockin’ Robin, with both teams desperate to make up for their recent losses. The heels go into the match with a massive advantage, however, in the form of their new secret weapon – Leilani Kai. Whereas the faces display energy, tenacity and determination, the cheating tactics of Liz Chase and Judy Martin, aided both legally and illegally by Leilani Kai, proves to be far too much for the girls to handle. Liz Chase & Judy Martin defeat Jamie West & Rockin’ Robin in 11:36 when Judy Martin pins Jamie West after a fireman’s carry slam We get another look at a recent photoshoot with Wendi Richter before moving onto the obligatory interviews. Jamie West and Rockin’ Robin complain about their opponents’ cheating tactics and claim they would’ve won otherwise. Liz Chase and Judy Martin are joined by Despina Montagas and their new mouthpiece and captain Leilani Kai, who promises to lead the faction to utterly dominate the promotion. The main event comes after the second commercial break. In the corner of the challenger is Susan Starr, who offers advice to her partner throughout the match, neutralising some of Medusa Miceli’s tactics. Even with this little bit of help, however, Desiree Petersen is pushed to her limits and never seems to be able to hold the advantage. Medusa Miceli fights with an increased sense of ruthlessness and viciousness as soon as she realises that her opponent’s resolve is beginning to falter. Medusa Miceli defeats Desire Peteresen in 14:52 by pinfall after a German suplex to retain the WWW Fighting Spirit Championship Once again, with no time left for interviews, we go off the end on a still of the victorious champion.

  24. This is utterly crushing. I don't really know what to say other than that.
  25. WWW picks up Judy Martin and Candice Pardue.
