  1. I would say though that the mentality of Vince has changed in a way that while he did his best to sign the best talents he could, he didn't stockpile them just to be sure that the competition wouldn't have them, like he's currently doing at the moment.
  2. I don't know really how it's gonna amount to anything. The problem is always the same: shitty creative and Vince having the last word on everything. If you talk to a brick wall, it's not gonna change anything (which is pretty much the equivalent when we talk about Vince). I genuinely thought that the return of Bruce Prichard would help in the sense that Bruce could talk him into changing gears a bit but it's same old, same old. I mean, if Road Dogg quit his lead writer on Smackdown (and as much as we gave him some flak on some stuff, Smackdown was still very enjoyable under his helm), I can't imagine how toxic the atmosphere must be backstage right now. Hell, I don't even know if any FOX threats would sway Vince into changing his product. He could always go the "Goddammit, I'll put Smackdown on the WWE Network instead, pal" route. He's that insane to do it.
  3. For me, the biggest takeaway of this is that he's definitely gonna go somewhere else, let alone as Jon Moxley. Hell, he NEVER tweeted anything as Dean Ambrose.
  4. Other than to blame writers, they're not gonna do anything. Ultimately, the buck stops with Vince. Everything is approved by him. So, largely, he is the problem.
  5. From what I read on Twitter, this could be partially explained by some areas of the US that didn't have access to the show because of bad weather (probably power outage and everything). But that's still very alarming and Vince needs to get his shit together rather than booking the Revival in back shaving jokes because they don't want to sign new deals.
  6. Goosebumps, you say???
  7. Cage was also rushed to the hospital after the show. Apparently suffered a back injury in the early moments of the match vs Johnny Impact (going by what I read as I haven't watched the PPV)

  10. Atlantic Coast Championship Wrestling TV #7 Recap April 27th, 1984 -Most of the episode was focused around matches from the previous week, including The Cuban Assassin beating Jack Brisco with the help of Greg Valentine to win the Atlantic Coast Heavyweight Championship. A VTR segment with Greg Valentine and the Cuban Assassin celebrating with the Atlantic Coast Heavyweight Championship. Valentine says he might not be the champion but having someone outside of the territory holding it is the next best thing becaue he knows this drives Eddie Graham nuts. Valentine claims that Graham is the mastermind behind the family emergency that sent him back home and prevent him to compete against Paul Orndorff and he did it because he hates his guts. Valentine says that he has the control of the territory now and won't rest until Eddie Graham quits and sells the territory to somebody else. -Eddie Graham came out for an interview with Bob Caudle and Tony Schiavone in which he denies everything Valentine said. Graham promises that Valentine will get what's coming to him in a very near future. Graham announces that he'll soon introduce the Contender's Crown, something that will guarantee the man in possession of it a future title shot to any championship in Atlantic Coast that he wants at a time of his choosing. Once that title match has happened, the Contender's Crown will be put at stake once again. 11. So much star power in the main event! And Bad News Allen is on a roll as he's got some serious momentum over Hulk Hogan. Wondering how it'll play in the mind of the AWA World Champion!
  12. Their booking is actually the opposite of WWE right now. Everything happens for a reason, good or bad. The Rich Swann/Sami Callihan stuff is pretty fun, even moreso since they added Madman Fulton to oVe.
  13. OK, I totally jinxed Killer Tim Brooks in my last post, now that the Rock N' Roll Express are the new Pacific Tag Team Champs lol
  14. Interesting choice to book Magnum vs Terry in the beginning of the show as I would've expected to see Superstar's arrival at the top to create a buzz but you accomplish to do the same anyway. But Magnum vs Terry set the tone for the show in its whole and things are sure picking up!
  15. Look at WWE repackaging Liv Morgan as "Library Liv" soon enough
  16. He's had heat in WWE since the minute he opened his mouth his first day in that locker room. Are you really surprised?
  17. So they don't want to be perceived like the bad guys but workers ask for their release and they flat out refuse them or add days to their contract. Vince's mind boggles me sometimes.
  18. That is absolutely true. Those are the guys that you pay to see get their asses kicked. Meanwhile, Killer Tim Brooks is low key having a great run lately. AWA Pacific Tag Champ AND AWA Atlantic Coast TV Champion. Who knows, he might get a nice singles run here down the road as well.
  19. They're definitely gonna add 1 or 2 matches to that card. Moose is feuding with the guys from The Rascalz and there's still the Rosemary/Su Yung/Kiera Hogan situation as well that could develop until Sunday night.
  20. So I wasn't the only one who had the impression of a heel Aleister Black vibe during his promo last night.
  21. I hope Hennig & Rude had plenty stuff to keep themselves busy until their spots under the ring :p
  22. Or in Sheamus' case, could it be that his spinal stenosis has finally gotten worst?
  23. Perhaps it's that Seth's style is more suited to multi-men matches better?
  24. I was flabbergasted when I saw this live but after the second viewing, I think I fully appreciate what they're trying to do now. It's pretty much the "wolf in sheep's clothing" approach they're taking here. Preying into parent's biggest fear of having their children manipulated by someone they love and admire. Only guys who are masters at psychology in wrestling like Bray and Jake Roberts could pull off stuff like that. Hell, I've seen the Waylon Mercy analogy and I'd say this is something quite similar. I've done a complete turnaround in the span of 12 hours about that vignette. I'm also intrigued to see where it goes.
  25. I don't know about Bryan but Sheamus' injury is a concussion.
