So the Rumble had a weak collection of entrants, had no resemblance of a story, had nearly no noteworthy spots, a Controversial winner and might have made some talent look worse than they were coming in On the other hand it may have led to Shane McMahon staying the fuck away from the company, so was it that bad?

I mean, it's one thing to have a great match with Angle but use plunder, but having an actual great match without smoke and mirrors, to me, is a miracle. Shane is very limited, specially due to his ego, so it is a bit of a miracle to me. AJ rocks. Sarray's magical girl gimmick fucking RULES.

I would be pissed off too if I had legit top tier MMA/amateur wrestling/martial arts experience and had to show ass to the son of the owner who has a curious case of shitty offence that consists almost entirely of potatoes. Shane got one over even ROMAN, with zero comeuppance. Fuck that guy. No miracle match with AJ can fix that dude.

Yes, it was so effortlessly good I agree. Very refreshing to see they managed to fill in three hours with decent television. Barely felt like it, which is a huge achievement for a show like Raw.

Yeah, they were part of the US Title picture alongside Morrison. It's not something done to death, but I do fear it's going to lead to RKBro splitting up, which means Orton is working singles matches again. Could be a hot feud in terms of engagement, tho.

Y'know, I'd like Ivory to manage someone in the women's roster. She has more presence than nearly everyone there and the RTC gimmick is still good.

That's a shame. As a celebrity guest he is one of the all-time greats. Really helped Priest too (who got eliminated in a very dumb way) Plus it feels like Zayn vs The Jackass crew would be full of schtick and bullshit.

They are apparently setting up Sami vs Knoxville and Sheamus vs Bad Bunny. Could be fun undercard matches, but it's still undercard stuff. WWE needs to pay for better music and stop fucking around with themes. The event itself is around the 6/10 mark, but the Rumble match is close to 2/10.

Some things I have noticed is that the match seemed off from the start. Nakamura looks like he slipped and got eliminated early, which is never nice. Then Kofi's usual highlight reel spot doesn't work (really didn't seem like it was planned). Then the big surprise entrant is Shane O'Mac. Just bad vibes all-around.

That depends on how you perceive the booking. That one, despite awful decisions, had NAME VALUE. There were a lot of people coming in that you thought "hey this dude winning would be dope". Here, we got AJ, Big E, Drew, maaaaaaaybe Orton and Riddle. We got terrible booking AND a fucking AWFUL cast. Lesnar appearing at #30 was far from absurd considering how shallow the talent pool seemed to be. This year's Rumble is going toe to toe with 1997 for the spot as the worst, IMO.

Roman vs Seth - GREAT Women's Rumble - HILARIOUS (in a good way) Becky vs Doudrop - Whatever, Doudrop tried. Lesnar vs Lashley - GOOD Miz/Maryse vs Edge/Beth - Very good! Men's Rumble - All time worst. It was written on the wall.

Lashley better repay Roman at Mania, bubbas.
