  1. Bumping this because this match turned 4 years old yesterday. This actually got even better with age, taking into consideration not only the action of the match itself, but also its legacy to professional wrestling as a whole. It really is up there as one of the most influential matches of the century, and easily the most influential of this decade, IMO. It's just... perfect.
  2. Problem is that when they try to feature a neutral authority figure, they just cannot resist the urge to have that figure wrestle. Angle was a dumbass, sure, but he still made for entertaining segments without needing to feud with Baron Corbin and effectively get retired by him. I actually got a kick out of him being Jason Jordan's (I miss him so much) father, because it gave us something different. Paige was actually a fair general manager, not favoring her former Absolution partners, but alas, that didn't last long. Drake Maverick is actually pretty darn good at the authority figure role, but again they have him featured in feuds and matches, and while the match itself was great, it's nothing really new. They have some decent ideas at first but they always go back to the same old notes. Even if Heyman and Bischoff were to be on-screen general managers, for instance, 100% sure they would be heels with dumb muscle backing them.
  3. I mean, you are not wrong. In theory it would be the easiest storyline to book because they've already had the ball rolling with KO.
  4. True, but family man Kevin Owens (which is the reason he caved in - "he was thinking of his kids!") can be something popular. Again, it's not the worst of ideas to have a playboy son of a billionaire exploit one of the most relatable people in terms of social media content, but the execution is lackluster at best.
  5. guys i think rusev might be on the gas
  6. The Roman match last week already showed that Buddy was ready to hang with the big stars, and it might've even be a better match than this one, but man, this felt special in ways the other didn't. It was great, of course. Daniel Bryan is excellent at being this rude piece of shit with deadly strikes and sumissions, and it really made a star out of Murphy, who earned his comeback and was just as good as Bryan in his role. The hot crowd also really helped this. The action wouldn't have as much gravity to it if the crowd wasn't dying for Murphy to win this. Just some incredible couple of weeks for him,
  7. this is the good bullshit
  8. ...I swear to God if they shave Harper's head and dyed his beard...
  9. I kind of get what they are doing with KO/Shane, but the execution is flawed. They've established how the fines would fuck KO's family, and Shane is using that to emotionally manipulate his foe. But the on-screen presentation...
  10. Zayn managing Shinskay is actually... a good idea?
  11. Fuck those Revival geeks.
  12. What the fuck? Heavy Machinery vs Revival? My GOD
  13. man i am so, so happy they are actually pushing murphy. would be shocking if he beats ali next week, too
  14. They managed, in three weeks, to make people actually chant "Let's go Murphy". Against Bryan, no less. Heartwarming.
  15. Cannot wait for the reveal (which is obviously going to be bollocks in the best kind of way)
  16. Gotta love how Drake Maverick is pretty much Wile E. Coyote AND a respectful GM AND an incredible underdog babyface capable of having a great match with Mike Kanellis. Dude's so good.
  17. Hey the crowd seems very much into Andrade/Crews
  18. It's WWE's Kazuchika Okada, Randy Orton!
  19. Not that a good outing tonight wouldn't solidify him as a upper to top player, but an actual victory would be insane.

Mauro wouldn't be that clever tbh
  21. What I really liked about Vic Joseph is that it kind of felt that he was Cole's protégé, and at times Cole gave him the wheel and the chance to call the action properly. When Cole finally moves to the backstage role, Joseph is 100% going to be the main voice.
  22. vince is way past snorting coke using a suppository is where it's at babyyyyyyyy
  23. hey that was really cool. i'm curious about how this story unfolds because seth *is* aware that braun wants his title and they *are* going to fight for it soon
