  1. This might be an obvious statement but watching the mid south stuff on the network and given the time period and who was in charge of that territory, you really do believe that pro wrestling is on legit sport and it's not in question.
  2. I think his retirement has helped edge to a degree, and the fact that he couldn't ever come back helped him not tarnish his legacy. That said I was a fan of edge and maybe it's nostalgia but I'm not as down as some above are on edge. I've been listening to his podcast with Christian and when they are talking about wrestling in detail you get to see how good of a wrestling mind Christian has. I hope Christian is put into the HOF soon.
  3. I'd agree with dusty and Dustin. I mean what Dustin did when given the goldust character I still marvel at. He made it a memorable character. Also would Verne and Greg gagne be in the mix. I realise that Verne would be doing the heavy lifting there.
  4. That's what my brain actually read. Well, in a few weeks it's gonna be the tenth anniversary of the Benoit murders. 10 years... 10 years ? Wow. Doesn't time fly when the product is great...
  5. 15 years ago today the WWE got the F out and changed from WWF to WWE. I was 17 when it happened so I feel very old now.
  6. I watched the flair clip they have of some of his promos. Jesus he was good. The one in his "house" with David Crockett was brilliant. He didn't yell or scream, and dammit he looked every inch a world champion and I was left in no doubt as to who he was facing, where the match was taking place, and who he was facing in his title match. That's what a good promo does IMO.
  7. The flair collection is up on the network along with batista.
  8. Superstars was blurrred on one of the ones I watched as well. The wrestling challenge and WWF blue banner with yellow writing wasn't though.
  9. Watts seemed to call ted dibiase ted dibias and seems to not pronounce the E at the end of his name.
  10. More 1988 prime time wrestling episodes have been uploaded.
  11. That could be/probably is a relic resulting from the fact that the show was prepared and archived during the name dispute, then not redone afterwards.I doubt the blurred version is the master copy. WWE would have been very stupid to alter the master copy. They don't care enough (and shouldn't, it's really not worth the time) to go back to the master, ie the original videotape, to create a new digital version now that the issue is resolved. Actually I would be surprised if they did not create an unedited version when they digitized the thing in the first place. Yeah I'm sure they have a digital copy of their tapes which they edit as they see fit. But as others have said they seem to have thrown up in 2014 when the network launched whatever version of ppvs and tv shows they had to hand. That's my opinion anyway.

  13. That interesting you say that anout superstars. I was watching one of the new prime time wrestling uploads and the blue banner in the arena was blurred out.
  14. Mid south 1982 is practically finished. With there being no numbers on the episodes I looks like there are three episodes missing.
  15. Rough picture quality wise ? Or just bits missing and not complete. Several of the wcw nitros and ppvs have a message at the start about it being "Shown in the most complete form possible" I did hear that when wwe got the wcw stuff (which included everything had been assumed by wcw when it bought JCP), that it was supposed to be a mess. Some of it wasn't labeled correctly or at all. That is how Kevin Kelly described how it arrived, in boxes. Kevin Kelly ? Ok that's probably where I heard it. Jim cornette has said he saved a load of tapes when ted turner bought JCP that were going to be thrown out.

  17. Well the fact that they have a lot of stuff digitised already probably helps.
  18. They've added a lot more 1982 mid south. It's not a complete year but it's not far off and they've put up some 1983 from January.
