Edge and Christian podcast
Cornette's racket replied to BigBadMick's topic in Publications and Podcasts
This weeks episode is an anatomy of a match featuring Steve austin and Bret hart breaking down their match at WM13. Bret sounds in great form and him and Steve give a master class in breaking down a match. It's a pleasure to listen to it. -
I think the fact that they used his real name first shows that this isn't a done deal even slightly.

When thunder was first uploaded early a few early 1998 episodes were missing but this has now been rectified and it's all there from January 1998 to September 1999.
-
Snickers statement is fairly clear as to their displeasure.
-
Well, that and the immortal "9/11 is like when the Federal State attacked my dad !" I don't recall Steph having that many clueless moments but when she does they are beauties. The one about her dad on the live smackdown after 9/11 as you've quoted was a brain dead moment.

"Louisville Kentucky, I'd know it anywhere." Haha

During the Ivan koloff interview the good captain himself does a tale of the tape on koloff. Vince calls Albano a lunatic and says thank you very much to end the interview.
-
The episode I'm watching today is for January 27th 1979 episode which is 47 minutes long and nearly twenty minutes in and we've had a time limit draw and an Ivan koloff vs Steve king match where koloff didn't make king look like shit and gave him some offence. And also praised him as a good wrestler. Also Vince has just asked a logical question about why Ivan pulled his opponent up at the count of two. Maybe I've been listening to cornette and his less than positive comments about the New York product but I'm really liking it so far.

I don't know whether I just had very low expectations of this drop of content given it was late 1970s WWF stuff but I've been very suprised and actually really like it. The matches aren't necessarily enhancement matches. There is some work rate for some of the matches. And Vince calls the matches like a legit match and bar Bruno's "hair" looking ridiculous it's actually been great.

I'm watching one of 1980 episodes and Vince sound drugged compared to how most of us remember Vince in later years.I mean he is calling wrestling moves and everything.
-
According to the twitter account WWE network updates all star wrestling has started to be added to the network and it's starting with 1980.
-
I thought Mel Philips was edited out of the wwe network ? Or at least terry funk beating him up was. He's there in a 1982 MSG show in full view at the start doing the announcement of the judges, doctors, referees etc.
-
My point is it never worked to the same scale as Austin vs Vince. That was lightning in a bottle in that feud. That feud confirmed me as a wrestlng fan. And watching it back on the network it still holds up.
-
But Austin vs McMahon was glorious stuff and any attempt to recreate it has never worked since. A generic authority figure vs wrestler X has never worked.
-
Jesus help us that won't end well. Vince knew how to play it and never took the piss when it came to his in ring appearances. Vince never tried stupid stuff that wasn't believeable. It's actually a credit to him.

Im the same I skipped that segment he was on Raw. Is Steph a face now as havent watched WWE for months and last time I rember she was in the authority. Still a heel role. Just trying too hard to be what her husband is with NXT with the womens division. And failing badly. She's doing commentary on the women's royal rumble for some reason. Why ? You'd swear that Steph is the only reason the women are even doing anything in WWE now. It's ridiculous WWE narrative.

Enzo has been suspended by WWE. So Enzo better lawyer up.

Rob Bartlett has made me appreciate all other WWE commentators since him. Woeful stuff. -

It wasn't that abrupt. Dr death cradled him when he climbed back into the ring. -
[1998-04-19-WCW-Spring Stampede] Raven vs DDP
Cornette's racket replied to Loss's topic in April 1998
Funny enough I watched this match this evening, and the interference was a bit much when consecutive members of the flock miss DDP and waffle raven. I liked the stagecoach stuff and the outside the ring stuff. I always felt WCW put a lot of effort into their entrance way sets at this time, compared to WWE.- 7 replies

No but Becky lynch did post something to her Instagram story that shows 25 women on what looks like an official rumble poster and it includes a few suprises.

So I see Kevin Owens seems to have cheating on his wife five times according to her. It does put a different spin on why he went home from the South American tour recently.
