  1. I agree that the most annoying thing about all of this (apart from Punk likely not coming back) is the argument over who was in the right and who was in the wrong by folks who clearly made up their minds just by who they're fans of. Either the Elite are wonderful good boys who never did anything to anyone and Punk is a psychotic egomaniac, or Punk was a badass rebel who stuck it to the man and had every right to punch the Elite for spreading rumors about him. In reality, they are all dumb and handled the situation poorly in different ways. And Tony just let it happen.
  2. Thanks!
  3. AEW living up to the "real sports" presentation with interim titles and arbitrary rankings. Dana White influence all the way. In all seriousness, the rankings don't bother me all that much as long as the overall booking is appealing and makes sense. Moxley should be in position for a title reign/match anyway.
  4. Would someone be so kind as to provide a list of the must-see BOSJ matches, apart from Eagles-ELP? I already saw that one.
  5. Obviously TK should do everything he can to try and keep MJF, but yeah unless the guy is demanding his release now 2 years is still a long ways away.
  6. Update to include 2021.
  7. Yeah that stood out really weird. Was a solid show overall. Very good first hour, hit-or-miss second hour with a strong main event seems to mostly be the norm at this point.
  8. Pretty ridiculous that for a U.S. ppv I have to pay outside of what I normally do for a streaming service I am already paying for.
  9. Battle of the Belts was a pretty good show. Probably the "worst" of the AEW shows this week and didn't have anything truly "must-watch", but still a pretty good hour of TV. Understandable that for a quarterly special you would want better than "pretty good", but I would say it was an improvement over the last Battle of the Belts. Booking and interference aside, Scorpio-Sammy was pretty good. So was Gresham-Dalton. And while I would definitely like to see Gresham on TV more, Dalton came off like the bigger star. The guy is definitely slower and more broken down compared to his prime, but he was still made for TV. Nyla-Thunder was also a good main event.
  10. Satnam Singh looked awesome.
  11. He said after beating Caster 2 weeks ago in the post-match interview with Tony that he was going for the title. So the idea seems to be that he's building up wins.
  12. Not a perfect show. Ending was flat, crowd was dead for Marina-Sky as there still hasn't been much promotion of the former, and the Nyla-TR segment was bizarre for a go-home title match angle. But everything else was pretty much firing on all cylinders. Still probably one of my favorite Dynamites ever, and when AEW is on, it's almost how unfair how good they can be.
  13. Definitely good news that everyone may be able to come back. Sabre-Okada was great, probably their best match together. And at 28 minutes, it seems we may be getting closer and closer to shorter main events.
  14. Probably would be tough to do as they're already working with AAA and CMLL's relationship with NJPW has been deteriorating.
  15. Finally watched Knoxville-Zayn and loved every bit of it. Hilarious spectacle and the best match of both shows that wasn't Becky-Bianca.
  16. Unbelievably anti-climactic finish unless someone was legit hurt. Still, ridiculous that they continued to do the same finisher kick-out fest they've done nearly every time they wrestled. Enough of this match-up. Never do this again.
  17. This. I know New Japan has had a lot of titles, but honestly the tag titles should've been merged years ago.
  18. Sabre wins the NJ Cup and Bullet Club having another expulsion angle. Like we're back in 2018.
  19. Honestly I think he's been wrestling pretty much as he always has since he first came over full-time. He just hasn't had a ton of singles opportunities outside of the G1 due to tagging with Taichi.
  20. Shingo-Sabre had their best match yet together. Still not sure it unseats Ospreay-Sabre as the tournament best, though. Okada-Naito was also great, around the level of their last one. Some really good near-falls.
  21. I thought it was overall a really good episode. The first hour was excellent and honestly one of the best they've ever done. Thought Lethal-Cole and the ME were solid even if they had too much interference. Everything else was not great. Leyla-Velvet got off to a good start and I liked their match on Rampage, but this fizzled out pretty quickly. The Sammy/Tay-ATT segment was bad, but I found it more stupid than "get this shit off my TV immediately." I enjoyed Sammy's run as TNT Champion, but he seems miscast as a babyface now. He and Tay as obnoxious heels would be much better. Rosa-Nyla/Vickie was the only thing I downright hated. Not just Rosa not getting a proper celebration/promo, but Vickie spouting her real-world views on immigration. Their interactions on Twitter and Nyla's promo afterwards are a hopeful indication they are moving away from this angle.
  22. Yep, terrific chemistry and still manage to change things up a bit every time. Shingo-Hiromu was great as well, but one of those matches I was hoping would be just a LITTLE bit better. And I ain't mad at the final four, but considering we've already seen Shingo-Sabre twice, was hoping for Hiromu to shake things up.
  23. Now that we're farther into the tournament, more exciting matches happening/could happen. Cobb-Naito and Okada-CIMA were both good.
  24. I totally forgot to do this, but for 1985 I'm switching Steamboat for Funk.
  25. Another really good show I thought. The first match was an awesome spotfest and I look forward to a potential ReDragon-Jurassic Express title match. The Bryan-Mox-Regal stuff is terrific and I love that they appear to be going in the stable direction that was first teased. Hopefully they face Sydal and Moriarity next week. I was skeptical about JAS but they're off to a good start. Daniel Garcia declaring himself a "sports entertainer" is the second biggest heel move this year. Jericho's AEW run has been very peaks and valleys but he seems to be back on the upswing. Warldow-Scorpio was...well the result was correct but the crowd really doesn't care about Scorpio due to the booking and this wasn't an ideal first title defense. That being said, the beatdown was great and proof that Wardlow is an absolute star in the making. The Hardyz-PP tag was solid for what it was. I don't need to see a Hardyz title run but I am interested in them against nearly every AEW tag team. The main event, while not on the level of Lights Out last year, was really good but Britt's no-selling of some spots was pretty blatant. Wouldn't be surprised if there's legit heat between the two.
