The thought is that ECW is a small local indie promotion on a local station so a ppv model would just be an expense that would probably bankrupt them as soon as the first takes place cause only a local audience would know about it an see it. That and the fact I don't have any big names that could attract a ppv audience so it's a case of start small aim big

Sports Channel Philadelphia is about to enter the squared circle. News coming out of the offices of both Sports Channel Philadelphia and Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) have an agreement that will see ECW air a weekly 1 hour TV show to air at 10pm on Fridays starting January 11th 1991. Along with a monthly 2 hour Special that will air 1 Saturday each month. ECW owner Todd Gordon has announced that to kick off this huge deal will be a special Double header weekend. With the January 11th 1991 ECW Harcore TV show to be a special preview show to bring the fans up to speed ahead of the first TV Special that will air the following night on January 12th 1991 and will be called ECW A New Era Begins and will emanate from Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets for that event are on sale now. Todd also has announced that on January 12th at ECW A New Era Begins, the ECW heavyweight title will be on the line as Dory Funk Jr. challenges ECW heavyweight champion Johnny Hotbody, (who since winning the title in September 1990 has spent most of his time hiding in West Virginia. Due to his contract issues due to him working in West Virginia.) Should Hotbody lose he will leave ECW however should he retain his contract demands will be met. Also up for grabs will be the ECW Tag Team Titles, as Champions The Rotten Brothers, Ian & Axl defend against the Batten Twins. Also set to appear are The Original Sheik, Jim Powers, The Moondogs, Scott Putski and the Public Enemy.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year I've been thinking and in wanting to do an authentic ECW I was wondering if anyone would mind me starting of as Eastern Championship Wrestling and becoming Extreme at a later date. As I'm planning on starting my ECW of just like the real ECW were the TV deal came after the promotion had been running for a period of time and earned the TV deal and thus certain things can already be in place. Any and all feedback on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Now that was a Starrcade to remember. You had everything a fan would want from the biggest show of the year. From giants colliding to tag team wars, title matches that had a big show feel. From a match classic between 2 mat masters to a Russian chain war. To show closing big time title steel cage match by the 2 top stars for the world title. Great show can't wait to see what's next

A strong Christmas night show. Nice to see JYD getting a big win by becoming the new Southeastern champ. Gives the promotion a good footing as his star power will make them seem like a big deal with the wrestling press and local fans.

One of the finest booked 1 night tournaments I've seen. Lawler looksike a man on a Misson to take back the number 1 spot at all costs. Rich turning heel is an interesting turn of events that freshens up Rich and gives Lawler a big time feud that isn't for a title. As for the Scott Steiner he looks like a beast and a force to reckon with in his showcase night and I agree with the Boston Crab finisher showing off some of his technical side and proving he's not just a powerhouse makes him seem an even bigger deal

Love your shows plenty happening in such a short show. Your proof that not every territory in the wars needs big names or long shows to produce a worth while show that keeps people tuning in each week to see what happens.

Any body know of any where I can find ECW Hardcore tv as I'm wanting to start watching it from the beginning but can only find a some of the episodes on YouTube. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
