Top tier worker in getting the company to allow him to do all his worst creative ideas, yes
-
I guess the nicest thing I can say about the Mountain Dew match was that by Wyatt gimmick match standards, it wasn't offensively bad. It was dumb and pointless, though. He also looked bad. Slow and out of shape, looked like he fucked up an ankle on the steps as well. This Captain Howdy shit is just...who is this for? With the Broken Hardy stuff, that was intentionally campy and played up the so bad its good aspect, but all of Wyatt's stuff is always taken so seriously and it's just so bad.

Because....did you watch the show? Have you seen any show Cody has been on since returning to WWE? Have you seen how WWE has promoted and treated him in his return? Did you see his merch selling out days in advance of the Rumble?

Thought the men's Rumble was the best Rumble match in ages. Zero issue with any part of it except I think it would have been lol to keep Miz in much longer and just have everyone beat his ass extra for no real reason. I thought Gunther worked a Rumble match smarter and more realistic than literally anyone I've ever seen, and I think it is fair to say he is the top full time active heel in the company now. The only guys on the pecking order above him right now are Roman and Brock. I don't know how anyone can argue that Cody didn't "earn" it or whatever, Gunther still beat the living shit out of him, and it made Gunther look like a king bad ass to go the entire distance and still beat the fuck out of 30 and nearly win anyway. It's time to retire the "WWE audience is going to turn on Cody like the AEW audience". They're not. That was a valid thought when he returned. It is not one anymore. The WWE audience loves Cody.

This is storyline literally could not possibly be handled better than it has. Absolute GOAT tier sports entertainmenting.

Honestly I thought Kenoh vs Kiyomiya was better than Okada vs White and was really digging the NOAH the reborn born again born reborn turbo production a lot more than NJ's. Muta show looks dope.
-
The Okada/Kiyomiya brawl sheeeeesh, if that match isn't stiffer than Okada/Shibata, water we dune
-
That was already going into effect a couple of years before Benoit Benoit'd. Things started slowing down around 2005, probably to coincide with Batista and Cena taking over.

You'll know Vince is back when Cole stops name dropping other promotions and wrestlers

It would have to be

Husky Harris is a deep part of the lore, bro

The first real bad Wyatt shit I recall was the cage match with Cena that had the kid in the spotlight singing or whatever bullshit
-
He's a decent wrestler and can have good matches with good opponents, but his matches since probably after WM30 have had a big focus on fuckery spooky shit or otherwise gimmicky bullshit. Once that took over and had to escalate, everything he's been involved with for many years has pretty much been the worst shit of the year every year since.

Lol at Caster's blood money crack when AEW currently has about 20 people working for them that worked Saudi Shows, plus another 15 that popped in for a shot or short run at some point.
-
All things considered, it wasn't too bad because she kind of landed and slid instead of her head banging off the floor. I'm sure it was not good for any other part of her body but at least her head didn't seem to crack off the floor.

Couple of things I've noticed in pro wrestling in the year of our lord 2023: No one throws good kicks to the gut. Even people usually very snug are leaving a whole lot of air in between those kicks these days. A lot more talents doing thigh slaps for chops. -
Juice Robinson is really good, Rock Hard Juice Robinson is the absolute shits.

I'd feel like a real asshole if there had to be an all hands on deck meeting, helmed by my son-in-law, to make sure everyone knows I'm not going to be in charge to fuck everything up again.

Did "imminent sale to Saudi Arabia" help the stock price
-
"The name on the contract does say Khan..." etc etc
-
"In the pool of potential buyers" could mean literally anyone in the world. I'm sure they'll inquire about the asking price just like Vince did when WCW first went up for sale, because that's just what you do when your top competitor goes up for sale. However, it would be incredible for Black Monday when Tony Khan opens up Raw, simulcast on TNT, saying he now owns WCW WWE.

The victory roll reversal into wheelbarrow piledriver into deadlift German would have been an incredible sequence to have actually ended the match. Does anyone have a two set of more violent looking moves than Toni Storm's corner ass attack and her short piledriver?

Show was awesome, except for the absolutely by the numbers literally predict exactly what every punchline before he said it MJF promo, and the JAS bullshit. Women's match did fall apart, but what Britt Baker match doesn't? Ladder match had some fucking insane bumps. TK reading these threads of people bitching about Bryan's booking and deciding to book him as The World Warrior for the next 8 weeks. There's enough top level talent from all over the world that Bryan can go right up to the PPV without facing two people from the same country.

A take: Disco Inferno is buried way, way too much online by both fans and other wrestlers. Guy was a very over mid card guy who was very dependable to have a solid to sometimes very good much with just about anyone from any division or size on the roster. Particular after returning in 1997 after that 6 month break or whatever when he came back leaned out and much more aggressive in the ring. I'm talking just about him as a performer in WCW, not anywhere else, and not in regards to any stupid shit he says on podcasts or tweets.
