Yeah Hook is a non-entity. He was kind of interesting as a meme character that got over for it, but that was now...5 years ago? He hasn't improved a single bit, despite working under guys like Joe and Shibata, Jericho, his father. He's still under 100 matches in 5 years of being on TV, so there's reps to get he hasn't been able to get, but he also has improved at anything since his debut. The very basics. You look at some of the guys he's worked with and like, he hasn't been able to learn better basics? The Hardys, Fletcher, Juice, Sting, CM Punk, Darby, Swerve, Jay White, RVD, The Bucks, Orange, Lucha Bros, Shibata, Joe, Mox, Jericho, Briscoe, Roddy, FTR, Christian, Claudio, Kingston. Maybe this new Opps heel run will see him getting a lot of in ring and promo time to improve but man you could plug the version of him from any year into any other year and it'd be the exact same worker. At the same time I wouldn't say he's hurting the company because he barely does stuff anyway. He's had the benefit of the doubt due to his dad for long enough, he's gotta step it up.

How in the world are Harley, Julia, and the Bucks hurting the company

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

The more I think about it, the fighting spirit puro sell is probably actually the most realistic sell in wrassle. 1. They actually did take the bump and did bounce back up 2. Most traumatic physical injuries (like say, a bike wreck or sports injury), people try and sometimes do bounce back up like nothing happened and walk it off only for it to hit a few seconds later. -
Over Thanksgiving, I found out my rich struncle is friends with the head coach of the Jags. I was hoping I could parlay that into hanging out with TK to talk about DVDVR/CZW Fans and maybe get to hang out with Tony Schiavone, but sadly he does not know the Khans.

Okay. It's still fine, though.

I don't have a problem with THS. Shelton has been great, AEW probably needs a guy like Lashley, live crowds have been into them. I also wouldn't care too much of Lashley just kind of vanished and it just stayed with MVP/Shelton. It's not like they've spent 2 years in the main event scene. The tag division has been just fine with them as well. It's really not a big deal.

It was weird because he was amazing in the triple threat with Okada and Takeshita. Either he got spooked or messed up on that first apron DDT botch.

Do FTR/Stoke vs Brodio/Steamboat. All Steamboat needs to do is throw a couple of chops, maybe a single arm drag. Do it, you fiend.

Very strange flex for someone who was just a warm body for a ....uh 7 (?)year WWE run. I would think she'd have trouble pulling that even in TNA.
-
Lmao who gives a shit? There's no such thing as a title lineage. Nerds getting bent out of shape that AEW has another title lol

The Invasion thing is so wild because it appears to be a single paper or website that called upper management and got them to change the show name, while also mentioning they have previously contacted WWE to remove Sami Zayn comments and were upset about Punk appearing to wear Palestian flag colors on his gear.
-
The discourse should be how fucking funny it is that HHH is bringing back the Invasion branding, the famously biggest botched program of the past 25 years (for their feeder system and WCW 2.0/their lower feeder system) while being responsible for the biggest botched program SINCE the Invasion in Cena's retirement tour.

Shit that cut looks fucking gross. Eyebrow completely split in half, solid silver dollar sized open wound.

What could possibly be aggravating about that lmao -
I was thinking more they made her mental health issues into her gimmick to make fun of her as a crazy chick, and ended up going off her meds to look thinner on TV because of what the office wanted her to wear every week.

It is a bit strange to me that both Punk and AJ have returned to WWE considering the circumstances of why they both left in the first place. I suppose time and money heals all wounds.

I don't think Jericho going back to WWE means anything for the perception of AEW. At all. It's not like a Kenny or even Mox leaving for WWE. I wouldn't even say it's as big perception thing as the Lucha Bros, possibly even Starks leaving, because...Jericho at some point was always going to go back to WWE for HOF and WM/Saudi pay day, and should have the last two contracts but was able to work TK into no doubt overpaying him to underdeliver and be an albatross on TV by floating he would be open to going back to WWE. I don't think it hurts AEW in any way at all to lose Jericho at this stage.

Lol at Kota Ibushi having to be the one to tell Tana that going to the top of the cage was too crazy for him to do
-
Just seems like Tanahashi isn't good in the office. Can't keep anyone, and not even guys going to AEW. Except the guys who just won't go away.

Yeah there was def weird shit and it felt more like a WWE show with some more spice, but not really. Not sure why Konnan was giving shout outs to The Undertaker in his AAA HOF speech, nor why Nick Khan/HHH/HBK were in the ring to start the show for the Mexican national anthem, nor why Khan/HHH had front row seats to be seen on camera not reacting for half the show until they got up and left.

I thought it was fine but now having a WWE ring with WWE ropes, WWE steps, and cast off announce tables that WWE stopped using this year was weird. Not to mention the graphics on screen were straight from the WWE production team.
