  1. Just give Shawn Spears a real push. He’s the only one between Wardlow, and him who truly deserves it.
  2. How do you know so much about this? Is this you, Jim Ross? On the whole “creative” thing… I mean both ways can benefit a wrestler. I get it, some wrestlers have learning disabilities that they can’t get over. As a viewer I prefer the loose way AEW is ran. Although it’s definitely not as loose as it used to be as they have a house style they like them to work in matches these days. But script wise they encourage bullet points. That’s what I think she meant when she said that the company sort of doesn’t have a “script”. So they are getting direction for stories. But I think from listening to other wrestlers, and her husband, she thinks she might thrive better in a much more pre-production WWE style setting, where they lay a character out in front of you, and you essentially put it on. That still has its positives, and it’s negatives just like the looser old-style.
  3. Speaking of black talent they should pick up… You think Shane Taylor can carry a roadblock sign on his shoulders?
  4. Only ones I can think of are Brandi, and Henry. I also believe Baron Black plays a part in production. Possibly as an agent.
  5. That’s why I think they should treat him well. Loosing him would be a mistake. With him I would say, tone down the high flying, improve on the strength training, and develop better strikes. With his leaping ability, he’s got potential to be the next Sting level star.
  6. If we were to compare the two, I say Dante has more room to grow into something bigger than even Bowens. Caster too has potential in becoming a bigger star than what he is.
  7. Dante Martin should be that young black star to be mentored into a bigger spot, with Lio playing the mentor as he’s doing now. Maybe Max Caster is the next guy to step into MJF’s spot when Friedman jumps into a permanent main event slot.
  8. I would say they should’ve been looking to have a black star that would be in one of the top PPV slots, with a shot at becoming champion like what Darby, or MJF currently have. Like in some ways that they did with Sammy. I guess that’s Jade now. Maybe that will happen soon enough with Dante. But time will tell.
  9. Ah the good old days of DVDVR. Swole does suck though. Especially when she kept insisting to do her confusing ass finishing move. Remember that was Brandi in the early days of AEW where she went after someone on Twitter about the lack of diversity.
  10. That’s a nasty bump in kayfabe if you think about it. Knowing she did the splits on the landing.
  11. That isn’t a surprise. He looked like somebody Frankenstein’d the Yeti’s leg onto him during those last two matches.
  12. Did anybody else mark out for Jade’s between the legs taunt plus flying elbow in the corner? I was getting WOW’s Slam Dunk vibes from her.
  13. With how corporate centric it’s become, that won’t happen. Unless these deals completely fall through, the WWE’s path is clear to become a pure content driven IP company that will sell to the highest bidder.
  14. I think ultimately that style has not benefited whatsoever. If AEW ever comes upon that crossroads, I hope they never decide to create their own PC. It’s ultimately a time waster, and a loss leader. Plucking talent from the regional indie scene is the most ideal way to do it. Or setup certain independent companies as feeder systems, like the WWE used to do it before they decided to go in it all alone. Only way a PC works if it was something as tight knit as the New Japan’s dojo, but that’s only possible through weird Japanese labor laws. Most of those guys are probably not paid great, and are pretty much gofers for two, or three years of being put through the ringer.
  15. AHAHAHAHA wow
  16. I would really like to know where that Cody, Arn, Tully, and FTR tease in 2020 was going, and why they stopped it cold, then went with MJF & The Pinnacle.
  17. Well when you’re one of the top exces in the company, you get a longer rope than others. I think it’s really funny that Cody wants to be his dad, but he’s modeled his look, and style on the old “Traveling World Champ”. He should know better that those guys would constantly flip from face to heel to in-between depending on the territory. It’s so stupid that he wants to be just a face dressing the way he does. Virgil Runnels wore stylish, and expensive clothes, but they weren’t the clothes of a man who inherited wealth, but of a man who fell into it.
