My thoughts on the match... Jack and Jerry Brisco v. Bob Orton Jr. & Jimmy Valiant (6/12/83) (Savannah, GA) - I don't know if this match will go far but I have really grown to appreciate Bob Orton. He has some nice-looking offense but he is also a bumping machine. His reactions or movements after a generic Brisco move make this match more appealing than it should be. It also helps that Orton works the majority of the match while Valiant provides color and a chance for the crowd to get excited when he gets involved. The ending was anti-climactic with a tag team bodyslam getting the clean pin but the match was interesting enough to move forward. Zellner... This had the psychology I've been looking for all day and was very fun with everyone being solid in their roles. This moves forward. Shoe... We start out with a brawl to start. It settles down and we get a normal tag with the Briscos working over Orton double time. The heat they get on Orton is sick. Eventually Valiant gets the hot tag and runs wild. Then he gets cut off and is worked over till he makes a hot tag to Orton. The finish was a little flat. I'll go no. Even if this goes on the viewers will crap all over that finish.

For those considering not voting... it's supposed to be fun. Don't make it a chore. Don't make it work. Don't worry about how comprehensive your list will be. Even somebody like Dylan, myself, Loss, Kris who have watched ungodly amounts of footage have blind spots, have biases that prevent us from enjoying certain wrestlers and will ultimately vote (if the others vote) on guys they like more than guys they don't enjoy. It's not science. I also don't know why somebody else would take your enjoyment away unless they are attacking you personally. The fun in projects like this are arguing for guys you love and then seeing the results when the smoke clears.

I saw this on the Observer board and laughed. Before anyone asks, this isn't real. It's a doctored version of the Mania 26 set.
-
Only 2 of the 6 choices involve not watching it. Last year, with the Bryan storyline going in, I was very enthused. The year before, somewhat enthused. This year, not enthused. I still watched every one of them.
-
I am not counting anyone who came up before the Shield. Defintely takes any OVW, Deep South, Nexus guys out. Keep this focused on the Tampa/Orlando crew from the last 2 years.
-
No need. He can't just admit he is excited because he actually supports their booking so he comes up with sad strawmen to compensate.
-
You can do that stuff without Mania. In fact, it would probably be better for friends and family if they didn't have to sit through shitty wrestling.
-
Fair enough. I don't like the idea of NXT being a touring independent where you take main roster guys to give it indy cred though.
-
I am looking at guys who have come up through the system and made the main roster in the last couple of years. I started with the Shield making the main roster since they had a cup of coffee at FCW. I will happily edit any names I forgot. FEELS LIKE UNTAPPED POTENTIAL Big E Langston - This feels like a company miss more than a BIg E Sucks thing. Don't want to put him in the failure category yet but the NEw Day is making it harder to keep him out. Dean Ambrose - success in the Shield, failure as a single? Erik Rowan - success as a Wyatt but failure as Ryback partner? Paige - Can any Diva on the main roster be considered a success? SUPER WORKER FAILURE Cesaro Luke Harper Clear Success Stories: defined as pushed and/or somewhat protected Roman Reigns Bray Wyatt Seth Rollins Rusev Clear Failures: Bo Dallas The Ascension Xavier Woods Adam Rose Emma I don't know when Sandow debuted but he feels like a guy who could be on this list of guys. Same with Fandango

There is no scenario presented so far that sees moving from the main roster to NXT as a lateral move or a promotion.
-
Bryan, up until the day after Fast Lane, hasn't had to worry about appreciative crowds. It's the rest of the roster that is wrestling in silence right now.
-
As bad as it is for guys we like on the main roster, sending the few remaining guys worth watching down to developmental is not the answer. If they start sending the Bryan's and Cesaro's and Harper's back to work with NXT talent, then there really is no point.

As of now, my sole interest is doing the reaction show. The next two RAWs have to be nutty good to change that.
-
I'll let this poll run through RAW and post a new one after RAW for the next couple of weeks. I'll be curious if we see any trends change.
-
You're good. If you know you'll be loaded for the show, your vote is valid.
-
I can't let drug use affect the integrity of the poll.
-
Ok, who isn't watching Mania that actually watched WWE TV?
-
I think the card looks like shit but it's Mania so I am going to watch. I tried putting in enough choices to cater to different tastes but I am sure I missed something.

ROH will be fine unless NXT runs the ROH circuit and forces fans to choose between the 2 shows. For some markets, it would be a godsend to get more quality wrestling (South Texas for example). ROH will survive the loss of Briscoe just liked they survived the loss of Styles, Bryan, Low-Ki, Joe, Punk, Generico, Steen, Edwards, Richards, etc.

I tried saying the same thing earlier... it makes you an asshole. Anyway, I am guessing that the award goes to Susan G. Komen next year.
-
No, last year;s show was better Seven is a Top Ten show but last year's was better.

Dude, calm the fuck down.... look at my 1st post... wasn't the original idea about honoring people behind the scenes? Why edit the Warrior speech? Just show Warrior and then give the hero award. No need to edit the speech. WWE does this over and over... create something false when it was never needed. The spirit of the award isn't the spirit of what Warrior wanted. The 2nd part is nothing snarky or assholish... Chris Masters is a legit hero. Nobody here is sad that Connor is being honored but with WWe, you can't help but roll your eyes. Look at the part of your post that i put in bold. Is it PR or is it heartfelt? If it is PR, you are being cynical. If it is heartfelt, no need to throw the PR line in to demonstrate how smart you are to their ways.
-
Also, if this is the new route, I can't wait until Chris Masters gets his Warrior Award.
-
Wasn't the award Warrior was pushing for supposed to be for guys in the back and on the crew who help put the shows on?
