  1. 02/23/87 Randy Savage, Harley Race, & Adrian Adonis vs. Roddy Piper, Junkyard Dog, & Rick Steamboat (elimination match)
  2. Bret has some spotty selling, really apparent when he mounts his comebacks but Flair was killing his own move.. Early in the match, Bret works over Flair's leg and applies the figure-four. He has the move on for an eternity but completely no-sells it the rest of the match. On the flip, after Flair applies his figure four, Bret sells the leg like a champ until it was time to use his patented moves. Also, it was really apparent they were worried about going long early on when Bret works over the arm for ages only for it to mean nothing since it was clearly a time killer.
  3. If you are referring to brian's post, he is stating that he has not seen those matches nominated so far. if you are just asking in general then no, you should not nominate matches you have not seen.
  4. Speaking of which, I have no problem making master copies of discs but I will not be making duplicates.

  7. I never thought I'd see the day when smarks were bitching about Rey-Eddie matchups.
  8. Realistically, when was this project going to get underway?
  9. Chris Benoit vs. Villano III (UWA 1/26/92)
  10. Meltz did an analysis a few weeks back on the detriment of running so many PPVs. Basically, he said on the surface that the shows are making profits so they sound like sound business decisions but they are actually a detriment to making a higher profit. I'll find the article later.
  11. Misawa v. Kobashi (New Years Giant Series 1997)
  12. Paul London v. Bryan Danielson (The Epic Encounter) -- I don't know if it would break my Top 20 but it is better than a huge chunk of the stuff listed so far. Low Ki v. American Dragon v. Chris Daniels (Era of Honor Begins) -- Again, much much better than the WM20 main event and something that ought to be seen if nothing else, so you can make your own judgment.
  13. Jumbo-Tenryu 6-5-89 Footloose v. Can-Ams 6-5-89
  14. Jim Duggan vs. Ted DiBiase (March 30, 1985)- I like this match much more than Loss did and think people see it to see how two guys can fit every gimmick under the sun in one match and have each one make perfect sense in the context of the match.

  16. For shame, I thought both of you would be chomping at the bit to nominate... Eddie Guerrero vs. JBL (Judgment Day 2004)

  18. I'm glad you thought this way about this match. While converting, it was one of the few matches I was able to watch. Initially, I didn't pay much attention but realized I was watching one hell of a fight. I had planned to go back and take some notes on it but I was so knee deep in discs at the time I forgot what show it was on.
  19. OK, Brian's set begins with a singles match, then is followed by .... Loss... Now, look at the following two matches on the matchlist I gave... trios match: Misterio Sr. & Jr. & Transformer vs. Fuerza, Juventud, Psicosis (4/2/95) Misterios-Guerreras match: Misterio Sr. & Jr. vs. Fuerza & Juventud Guerrera (4/9/95) I stated that my matchlist may be missing the first match but from your description, it does fall in line.
  20. Well, just from that brief description, it appears the Alfredo set is missing the opening match and then falls in line with the rest of the set. Maybe Brian can help with this.
  21. Loss, this match listing may help with dates. I have not had the chance to check and see if the comp I converted from Brian is the same one I received from Alfredo. If they are the same, this is the matchlisting.... Best of Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera -Misterio Sr. & Jr. & Transformer vs. Fuerza, Juventud, Psicosis (4/2/95) -Misterio Sr. & Jr. vs. Fuerza & Juventud Guerrera (4/9/95) -Misterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera (5/28/95) -Misterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera (7/31/95) -Misterio Jr.& Juventud vs. Picudo & Aguayo Jr.(12/23/95) -Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera - Cage Match - Car vs. Car (2/12/96) -Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Juventud Guerrera -Car vs Car (8/12/96) If not, then it is likely the Brian comp has more matches.
  22. There is plenty of news I didn't get to but between school and burning, I haven't ahd a chance to type it up.

  24. YOu know, I never realized they were on the same card. I think it throws me off that the Kobashi-Hansen match is on an Auguest TV episode.
  25. I was reading Loss's list of 100 matches and he mentioned the 6-5-89 Footloose vs. Can-Ams match and how great it was. Well, for what may be one of the top 3 best tag matches of the 80s, it wasn't even the best match on the card. That honor would go to the Jumbo-Tenryu match. So, in your opinion, what cards can you think of that had 2 legitimate super MOTYs on it. Personally, I don't know of any combo that surpasses the 6-5-89 duo. Other shows that may be mentioned include... 5-22-84 Ric Flair vs. Harley Race Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Kerry Von Erich WM X Owen vs. Bret HBK vs. Razor Ramon ladder match Honestly, I don't think either of these would fit the bill but others may disagree. I am sure I am missing a few Joshi cards as well.
