  1. If I get my issue of the Observer this week, and Meltz prints it, I'll believe it. I just don't trust Scherer's word.
  2. OK, I just watched 40+ hours of NWA tv, not to mention the Barnett NWA tapes. The best part of those squashes was the commentary of Jim Cornette. Also, where are you going to find a mark like David Crockett who can give you entertainment for all the wrong reasons. Seriously, there is no Jim Cornette in the biz today (not even the real one) and I don't think I would watch the squash match shows anyway. You can have enhancement talent, guys who just go out there to lose whatever but you def. do not want an hour or two hours of squash matches.

  5. For those of you encouraging the emergence of squash matches, be careful of what you ask for. It does not make for compelling TV at all. Hell, one of the reasons I returned to watching wrestling after a 7 year hiatus was because I loved the fact that I didn't know who was going to win in alot of matches.
  6. Match #1 - Jung Dragons v British Bulldogs --- Bulldogs. This isn't even debatable. Match #2 - Los Guerreros v Edge & Christian --- The Guerreros are better than E&C as individual wrestlers. E&C as a team were classic. Their interviews were hilarious and the matches were at least ok. Match #3 - Booker T & Goldust v Fantastics --- Fantastics. No contest here. Match #4 - Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho v Hollywood Blondes --- I'm going with the Blondes on this one. I had a chance to watch some old Clashes last week and they were so cocky and so fun to watch. It's a shame how it turned out for the team (although it helped Austin become who he is) but they are gold.

  17. Match #13 - Hardy Boyz v Twin Towers --- Hardy Boyz/ I don't like thir style or matches but I like the Twin Towers even less. Match #14 - Harlem Heat v US Express (Mike Rotunda & Barry Windham) --- Man, this one is hard for me but I think Windham and Rotunda are far better as a whole and I think the old WWF tv will prove me right. Please, show me a good Harlem Heat amtch... anywhere!!!! Match #15 - Vitamin C v Heavenly Bodies --- I really don't feel comfortable voting against the Heavenly Bodies since I haven't seen enough of their work. I will abstain on this one. Match #16 - The Russians (Ivan/Nikita/Kruschev) v The World's Greatest Tag Team --- Man, I don't like this matchup because I think that the Russians were so much better at getting heat and generating real emotions since they were knee deep in the Cold War. I think Haas and Benjamin had great potential and had a few standout matches. Still, I have to go with the Russians for historical value.

  19. Just so you know, Loss, those two matches saved the show because the rest of it is every bit as abad as the critics say it is. I liken the show to Mania 10 however where two good-great matches more than make up for the shit surrounding it.
  20. And if you go back to WCW, when he was supposed to put over that big-time money player... KIDMAN!!!
  21. Actually, for the Natural Disasters, you could argue that they were two random guuys thrown together since both were just singles guys. You change the name Tugboat to Typhoon and *poof*, a real tag team!

  23. I don't think he will. I believe you reap what you sow and it is going to bite him in the ass, like the needle he loves so much, sooner than later. Just one more quad tear... that's all we need.
  24. There is no way in Hell Trips goes that long without the belt. On a sidenote, I think it would be pefectly wonderful if Trips, in his quest to take Flair's title record, has his career ended one title short of obtaining the record.
  25. When is his movie released?
