I created this forum so I could separate game stuff from rules stuff. Trades, drafting, and title holders is game stuff. This is not for that. This is to establish rules on deaths, injuries, retirements, draft orders, new wrestlers, etc. In this forum, I am going to talk to Kris not Paul Jones, Grimmas not Jack Tunney, Parv not Vince McMahon. Mods, if you see any threads I missed, move them over here.

I just don't trust your leadership group. It seems like they would sell you out in a New York minute.

I voted for Crockett. He was the youngest candidate and the NWA will need young minds leading the way if it is to survive in this exciting, futuristic driven world.
-
This is an in-game position who will do the following... The nominees are Jim Crockett Jr. - JCP Paul Jones - Georgia (Not the manager and arch enemy of Boogie Woogie Man) Bob Geigel - Central States Votes will be seen by others so we can make sure only NWA members are voting.
-
I went bookers hand.
-
Give Low Blow one of my votes. I have a Baba vote and Inoki vote. He can vote according to my wishes.
-
In the game, that isn't true at all. Most of the guys playing are Lawler fans, simple as that. That would be the reason he got the nod.
-
In real life, nobody is denying the political obstacles. The argument is whether he had the ability. There is a reason the NWA went bust. It was because old men held antiquated views about wrestling and talent.
-
i had no idea. Fuxk him too. BOOGIE WOOGIE FOREVER You do know this is old man Paul Jones not manager Paul Jones right. Old man Paul Jones was the Dean of Promoters
-
Ok so it would be an in game position. I'll create the poll.
-
That's not the point Kris. Fuck Paul Jones. Anywya, we should decide if NWA President is a real position like a moderator or in-game position.
-
That part hasn't been determined yet. We should probably create a Debuts thread to discuss new wrestlers.
-
If all if those old guys dropped dead, that is a circumstance that would have allowed Lawler to become champion.
-
I would love to see you make the case. One thing people forget about Lawler is that he wrestled to his circumstances. World champions had.no problem coming in and wrestling Lawler for years. When Lawler was working week to week, the quality of his opponents want always up to snuff. He found a way through brawling, shenanigans and theatre to keep people coming back week after week when the primary heel for years was a 130 lb manager. However, he worked NWA style main events in the 70s. He had one of Dory Jr's Best Singles matches in the 1980s. He had a feud of the decade contender with Bockwinkel. Went toe to toe with Flair in the studio. Had great matches carrying Kerry and Henning feuding over the AWA belt. In Japan, he had a great match with Fujinami. The crowd was dead but he wasn't established in Japan either. Every gaigin who has wrestled in Japan has wrestled in front of a quiet crowd including Brisco, both Funks, Bock, Race and Flair. Sometimes against big guns like Baba or Jumbo so I hope the quiet crowd isn't used to discount the Fujinami match. SeriouslY, Lawler was versatile enough that he looked credible against monsters and could make smaller guys have a credible chance against him.

We should hold off on this. We haven't defined what the dutIies of the NWA President are yet. Is NWA President code for moderator of the fantasy project? If so, no need for a poll. To this point, people have pretty much deferred to Kris on rules of the game, historical notes and roster decisions. If NWA President is a created position within the game, then we need to define what the duties of the position are. We should also consider the territory and ownership within the game. For example, Kris has Paul Jones and Beast has Jim Crockett. I am picking Jim Crockett every day of the week. For game rules and mediation, I would pick Kris since I have been following his rules since the day I joined anyway.

Bill Apter doesn't have a say.
-
We are. I am talking about the 6 month reshaping/draft that was supposed to take place unless that was axed altogether.
-
Both Baba and Inoki a r e proud members of the NWA and will support any world champion decisions made by the NWA. If we are to be successful as an industry, we must constantly be on the lookout for fresh, new stars and not operate under an antiquated paradigm.
-
For retirements, how about this as a compromise... With the exception if Terry Funk who is already penciled in as a retiree (or not), let people use them up until the next 6 month period. So, the next draft/trade takes place in January... even if a guy retires in November, the promoter can get some extra mileage out of them and won't feel rhe pain because there will be an infusion of new talent in the territory as it is.
-
It is because you are myopic and out of touch.
-
Ted DiBiase cannot be in consideration since he is under conract to a non NWA member. I am going to give three overlooked picks. Jerry Lawler from Memphis - Can work face or heel in multiple teerirories. Has plenty of experience in working long world title prpgrams. Promo ability and innovative mind will help programs draw at the gate. Kerry Von Erich - Fritz Von Erich is an esteemed member of the NWA, a good Christian and an honorable father... traits passed down to his All American sons. Kerry is by far the best talent in the ring and most adapt to the rigors of the road. With his good Christian upbringing, he should be able to navigate the pitfalls of the road and would be a benefit with no headaches to promoters across the country. Michael Hayes - I must disagree with Mr. Bill Watts who claims Hayes is little more than a mouthpiece for his T-birds group. He has proven he can draw money on a large scale in order to pop a territory and did it on a large scale in Mid South, Georgia and Texas. Hayes has already proven he can be an excellent heel but has rock star appeal for the up and coming Mtv generation. If the NWA is to survive, we must begin to appeal to the younger generation and the process should start now. Under the tutelage of Mr Watts and Mr Von Erich, their Christian American values are sure to have influenced Mr Hayes and i can't see where these unfounded rumors of being a rebel rouser and locker room disturbance are coming from.
