  1. The problem is HBK is not supposed to be the heel, in his mind or WWE's. That's why he cut that promo.
  2. I didn't watch either. I haven't been watching for some time now. I have a theory on why Raw seems to be stuck in neutral gear, to make people long for the days of HHH because when he was around the show actually progressed around him and his storyline. Without him there, everyone is just there and in a holding pattern. Of course this is the paranoid HHH conspiracy theorist talking.
  3. MJ, why do you want the Batista/Taker match with Orton as ref? It sounds too much like Hart/Taker with HBK as ref. Orton would take the shine off a much needed Batista victory much like Michaels did for Bret years ago.
  4. I think it'll be a triple threat between Batista/Taker/JBL. They'll cop out the GAB title match (maybe no-decision or double DQ/countout/etc) to give JBL an in to the SS match.
  5. Then Batista faces....who?
  6. I realized wrestling was fake when my uncle took me to a show when I was very young, and he was pointing out those little details that made it a work. He also smartened me up pretty shortly afterwards, with all those insider terms he was shooting over at me on the ride home. After that, he bought me some subscriptions to dirt sheets, and I've been a smark ever since.
  7. Vince has an ego. He'll continue running the Hassan angle. Hell, if he has to stay dark til Summerslam, Vince would do that, and still put the belt on Hassan.
  8. Thing is, yes the show(s) comes with the deal of moving Raw over to USA, but why should it limit to Raw? SNME should be something of a joint show, or if they planned to run like 2 of them, give Raw 1 and SD the other. It makes more sense that way, rather than put the Raw guys on it and going, "SD who?" But whatever.... (and yeah I know sek, I'm just ranting about WWE....)
  9. Because it further treats SD like shit?
  10. Sadly it looks like it's geared towards the Raw brand only....
  11. I find him to have a slow and hoss-like approach to things. I honestly believe all those "great" matches he had were carryjobs by his opponents. He just doesn't appeal to me as a "top 5 worker". He's the longest reigning RoH champ.... ok, that's Gabe's booking there. His feuds were against good workers (though I'd be hard pressed to call Homicide a good worker but I digress). Basically Joe's a smallish version of those chubby Japanese workers that people seem to like a lot, that's carried to good matches. This is obviously just my opinion.
  12. I wouldn't rate Samoa Joe in the top 5. AT ALL. 1. Bryan Danielson 2. CM Punk 3. AJ Styles 4. Chris Daniels 5. Doug Williams
  13. The creative team thinks Jericho is better in the heel role as a potential champion than he would as a face champion. They basically liked his heel CW stuff in WCW and thinks that's the only effective champion's gimmick Jericho could pull off.
  14. Off my real name I got "Johnny Incision" even though my name isn't John/Johnny....
  15. No, thank god. Taker/JBL being MOTY is laughable.
  16. Actually it was for the reason JHawk listed above you, Flyboy. It didn't fit the context of the storyline. And HOW OFTEN IS EDDIE GONNA HAVE TO JOB TO REY BEFORE THE DAMN FEUD BLOWS OFF?!
  17. Yet I hear from a lot of people that it was easily one of their worst outings in recent memory.
  18. Hello. Now respond to my theory about HHH in the other thread. That's what I was referring to when I said it was no-sold.
  19. The next Raw PPV is Unforgiven. *Expects this post to be no-sold like everything I've posted here*
  20. Yes, it's quite prophetic for a supposed diva to claim she wasn't wrestling on a show where nearly no women wrestled. Yep.
  21. I'd actually put HHH in the house with all the guys he's buried.
  22. Anyone think that if HHH jobbed to Batista in the HIAC, then sent Batista off to Smackdown that: 1. With John Cena as the WWE champion and his strongest challengers being heels, HHH, the STRONGEST heel they have, has an excuse to get Cena to job the title to him and.... 2. Continuing part of the first point, since all the challengers are heels and HHH being the heel champion, it forces the heel challengers not to be able to challenge for the belt, thus giving HHH a long run with the WWE title while building up the next face challenger... 3. HHH can claim he made a star in Batista, sacrificing his HIAC streak to do so, WWE would be more receptive to Cena losing the belt to him... 4. After this is done, there would be no face challengers without turning a heel face, because besides Cena who would have just lost the belt (and I doubt they'd do a long term Cena/HHH program), there is no faces that are strong enough to challenge HHH. If this is the case, HHH proves once again why he's a genius politician.
  23. I disagree. It was forgettable for the most part. It was a good match for Taker and JBL but MOTY? Please.
  24. Which was in early 1990s. She didn't age very well nor naturally.
  25. More creative then Edge and Christian vs Hardy Boys fighting over Terri Runnels? Considering that an ANGLE doesn't constitute a gimmick, yes. And even so, that angle, while leading to a "great" ladder match at No Mercy, was pretty awful, putting the focus on an unattractive woman instead of two budding tag teams.
