In all actuality Ivan isn't a good comparison anyway because he didn't work babyface.

Ivan wasn't blackballed for a year like you said......his last IWA date I have is 7/22/75...then the next date I have is 9/6/75 working for Nick Gulas & Harry Thornton in Chattanooga which was NWA then he was back in WWWF in October which back then WWWF was a NWA territory as well as working for Frank Tunney in Toronto while with WWWF.

Thing is with Ivan though is that the argument can be made well was it him who was over or was it his manager at the time especially in the early days when he didn't talk. Another thing that didn't look good in Ivan's favor was that he was in WWF in 1983 the year before Murdoch was and sure Ivan got shots at Backlund but if you look at the overall runs Murdoch was way more successful.
