  1. Today, they just posted an issue from Feb. 4th, 1991, and it's an amazing treat to read what it's like being Dave Meltzer from that time period. I mean, I haven't read as many issues as some of you on this board (I started subscribing to the Observer in early 2004), but I can't think of any other issue that gives you a better idea of Dave Meltzer and his job than this one.
  2. Looks like Dave is now going to be doing multiple audio shows a week and the Observer will now be available to subscribers of the F4W site. F4W/Wrestling Observer Merger

  5. Wade Keller posted this today:
  6. Didn't they have someone else play Octagon a couple of times in AAA? I remember hearing that somewhere, but can't remember where.
  7. After watching the off-air Ric Flair retirement segment on YouTube, the related videos section had a Benoit memorial video and while I didn't watch the video, I decided to read the comments to get an idea of how stupid YouTube posters actually are. Well...
  8. I'm curious, where did you hear about Kurosawa being a wrestling fan? Also, Werner Herzog claims to watch pro wrestling at times. Here's a quote from Herzog concerning WWE from the Austin Chronicle:
  9. Didn't Triple H go into that match with some leg injury? I haven't seen it since Dec. 2002, but I remember it being embarrassingly awful.
  10. Bret deserves credit for never injuring an opponent (that we know of) FWIW, Bad News Allen claims Bret gave him two concussions.
  11. Kobashi also used it against Kensuke Sasaki in June 2005.
  12. Has he ever told this to Dave on the air? I would assume even Meltzer would think he's crazy, since Dave's always talking about certain periods of AJPW and AJW being among the best he's ever seen. I haven't been a F4W subscriber for a few months, but has anyone brought up to Bryan how great EMLL was in 1990?

  15. Could I have access to both? PM'd you. -- Loss, 10/14
  16. Just to add to this, on the July 25th Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer does say that when Dr. Kris Sperry was examining Benoit's body, that while their was no enlarged organs or heart problems, he did notice "signs of 'heavy duty' steroid use".
