News and Notes for The WWF The World Wrestling Federation has officially secured a deal with the USA Network to produce Prime Time Wrestling on a weekly basis. The show will be hosted by Gorilla Monsoon, with a rotating lineup of guest hosts handling color commentary duties. The format is expected to lean heavily into personality-driven segments and storyline advancement, giving the company more flexibility than traditional syndicated programming. It's also being said that Raw has been terminated for the time being and that the WWF wasn't too thrilled with the ratings it was getting. There continues to be concern internally regarding the condition of Andre the Giant. Several sources describe Andre as “on his last legs” physically, and the new alliance with Jake Roberts is believed to be a calculated move to keep Andre featured while limiting his in-ring workload. The severity of his health issues is being kept tightly guarded, with only a select few aware of the full situation. There is a growing belief that 1991 could be Andre’s final year of active competition. In a surprising development, Jake Roberts has reportedly been on his best behavior in recent months. Known for past issues outside the ring, Roberts is said to have made noticeable changes, with the locker room rallying around him in support. This shift has reportedly caught many off guard, and management appears to be rewarding his improved standing with a prominent push on television. The situation involving Ultimate Warrior remains tense. Warrior is said to be extremely unhappy with his loss at WrestleMania, and there are reports that original plans called for Andre to turn on Warrior rather than the current direction. When informed of creative plans, Warrior reportedly left the arena, and relations between him and management have continued to deteriorate. His loss to Roberts is being viewed internally as a turning point in an already strained relationship. Rick Bognar, now being billed as Titan, is receiving strong backing internally. The Canadian talent was reportedly discovered and recommended by Jack Tunney, and management is said to be high on his size, presence, and overall look. There is optimism that he could develop into a major player, although, as always, his long-term success will depend on how he connects with audiences. Another pitch being discussed internally involves Tugboat potentially turning heel in a controversial direction. One idea reportedly floated would see Tugboat align himself as a foreign sympathizer, specifically as an Iraqi supporter, which would tie into current real-world tensions. It’s unclear if this direction will move forward, but it has reportedly sparked debate within the company due to the sensitivity of the angle.

Prime Time Wrestling 03/25/1991 https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vSlbwopn-iknGcIfZ44FCxYHjjN-ih0FnU5giqUp0c0t4Uc9xJa-jhT731okotpsb6jze3yOiHmBkkk/pub Here is the first episode of Prime Time Wrestling. Please enjoy! The blue on the names is entrance themes for my wrestlers. I researched using Cage Match, and every song is a song that the person used in their career, and I made sure the songs were at least made by 1991 if they were songs that required a license to use.

Here is the WWF Title history. The only part missing is whatever Den Scorpio did and who was crowned champion during that time. Everything else should be accurate. If any of the previous bookers notice something off, feel free to let me know. I went back through the shows and this is what I found. Since I am now taking over the booking for the WWF, I am also recognizing Andre’s title reign. I am not sure if LowBlow officially acknowledged it, but as the current booker, I will be counting it moving forward. Championships/Title History: WWF Championship 1. Bob Backlund 2. Magnum TA 3. You booked a great card, man. I really enjoyed everything you did here. I hope you stick around and keep giving feedback because you’ve always been someone who brings great insight and actually follows the shows. I’m excited to see what you have planned next, and I’ll definitely be following along.

I love drafts. I am always game to do a draft.

These are fun shows that you are bringing into the project. What I really enjoy is how easy these shows are to follow. Very solid work. I might not know who some of your talent is, but you do a great job at bringing something different. Keep it up!

This was a really enjoyable set of shows, and it did a nice job building momentum toward WrestleMania VII. The IC title tournament was a great idea, and Billy Jack Haynes winning means he gets the pleasure of stepping in the ring with the massive Earthquake. Good luck to Billy Jack, but you have built Earthquake like a force, which is awesome to see. I also liked the continued tension with Benoit and Dynamite Kid and the way their issues kept spilling into other matches. Awesome set of shows. I am very excited to see Wrestlemania.
-
This was a really solid stretch of shows, and it feels like a lot of the roster got time to shine. The Regal upset over Kawada was probably the biggest moment from the show and a huge win for Regal. I also liked the Bret Hart main event angle with Stevie accidentally costing Buddy Rose, because that adds some fun to shows. Overall, these cards were a lot of fun. Very solid run of shows with PCW.
-
Really fun show, and it felt like a big event from start to finish. The tag title match and the Steamboat vs Hennig match were the highlights for me, and both came across as really important. War Games delivered the chaos, and the ending with Sid destroying Owen was an awesome visual to close the show. Awesome job!
-
You had me sold with The Steiners against Vader/Cactus with Sullivan added to the mix. That is just a dream match. Very excited to see those clashes. I am curious to see who their partner will be. Macho/Walstreet will be a great worked match Lawler/Irwin will be a fun match as well. You got a stacked card for sure, and that's going to make some serious money for the USWA.
-
I love that you are using Maxx Payne. When I was running SMW, I liked using him, and I enjoy that when SMW closed up shop, you brought him in and used him. I always thought Maxx looked like he could draw money, and I loved the guitar and being creepy. When I was young, he used to scare me in WCW. lol So I love that you are bringing that into AWA. I really enjoyed the Hogan/Morrow angle. I didn't know much about Gerry, but I watched the Jericho podcast with Lance Storm, Callis, and Paul. Very fun to learn about him. It helped me appreciate you bringing him into the AWA. You got AWA rocking and rolling on all cylinders.

Thanks, man, and yeah, I am feeling a lot better. I appreciate your feedback, and all the feedback that I received running GWF. It's been a fun show to explore. I had many ideas coming up for the promotion, but I have an opportunity arise. That will be the last GWF show. I will write a story within the coming days about the closure of GWF. All the rookies will head back to World Championship Wresting and luckily, with no contracts to any of the GWF talent, they are free and clear to go wherever they may wish, like they were when I used them.
-
That's fair. lol I do find it funny that they didn't even consider putting Jey in that Chamber. Just wrote him instantly off.
-
They should have just pivoted then. Cause Logan eliminating four people didn’t work at all. The crowd was dead silent no heat. No nothing. Just silence. When Reed got hurt and Uso won cause of it. Why not just have a back and forth chamber match then? Why stick with the vision eliminating four guys for Rollins to comeback to a meh reaction. Why that creative team can’t pivot is just wild to me.
-
I honestly think that is where it is going, but I really hope it isn't. It just makes Drew's title reign look even worse now. He accomplished nothing in the reign, and it just happened to sway the audience that they would do a title change. I don't know if anyone felt it, but that Men's Chamber was so bad imo. I would compare it to the cluster that was the IC Chamber match, where everything went wrong. I just think everything felt flat. The Rollins return was not good and just felt meh. The Drew run-in was so bad. Like, I guess story-wise he would want Cody to lose, but having him eat two finishers and just look like a dingbat is not the way I would have booked that. Also, what is up with Logan Paul eliminating 4 guys? We get it, the dude has followers on social media, but my goodness, they are treating him like he is the second coming of Shawn Michaels. Orton winning basically means it's going to be against Cody, but I mean, do we really want to see Orton vs Cody? Not like Orton vs Drew is any better since they ran that into the ground during COVID. I just think the WWE Title has been poorly handled since Cody won the title. It's like they don't really have a plan. I really enjoyed the Punk/Balor match for what it was. We knew the result, but I thought the match was very good. Which just further shows Punk needs to go over Roman at Mania, but everybody knows that isn't happening, and we will just get another part-time champion holding the belt that won't be defended till probably SummerSlam, or some throwaway show overseas. People are shitting all over the Danhausen debut, but I absolutely LOVED it! Danhausen is a good dude. I have met him and interacted on social media with him before AEW, and during his AEW run. I have nothing but high praise for him. I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea, and that's fine, but people comparing him to the Gooker would be the same ones who would shit all over The Undertaker if he debuted today. I just take it with a grain of salt and wish the dude the very best, cause in a business where guys are mostly assholes. He is a good dude.

OOC: I am still sick as a dog, and I should have had this up last night, but I had ZERO energy. Here is a quick recap to get the show up.
