Dave Taylor was fine if not really good but he was never even remotely big anywhere enough (that I saw) to get the exposure needed for me to put on my GWE. And I really don’t have the interest currently in watching WoS and Joint Promotions stuff. Maybe down the line. I’m more interested in knowing Dave Taylor’s reasoning for his whereabouts on June 24-25, 2007.

Terry Taylor may be the most average wrestler ever. He is 50% bad/50% good. Can’t forget his matches but couldn’t pick ‘em out of a line up. Every good wrestler ever is better than him. Every bad wrestler ever is worse than him. He is Stringer Bell’s speech about 40 degree days.

I don’t have too much to add. I’ve only recently discovered a lot of his IWE stuff and it’s great, but I’d need to get more exposure before the 2026 poll, and he’s just not someone I feel like I need to spend the time remaining on. I will say however that the 11/29/89 tag is one of my favorite matches of the decade. Just awesome.

Love Ole but not enough to put him on my top 100. I would highly recommend the match vs. Magnum TA on the 11/22/85 edition of WCW. Great stuff.

I mean look, I’m not saying late 80’s Andre is some super worker. I used the Rumble performance as an example because it’s a fun bit during a time where he didn’t have many of those. But as I stated, I’ve also gone and watched a lot of other Andre that’s available where his limitations weren’t as much, and he is great, by my standards at least. The Khan and Hansen matches as others stated, some of the Inoki matches, earlier Hogan bouts (I even think WM3’s match gets overhated). He’s also got great stuff in the 70’s against guys like the Spoiler and Harley. He was a smart worker long before his limitations hindered him as much as they did at the end. I think trying to compare that to Hornswoggle as some sort of “gotcha” is ridiculous but hey to each their own.

I am much colder on Harley than I was 2-3 years ago. I’m still a fan, but I’m way more open to the critique, especially stuff I’m reading in this thread now from 10+ years ago. That said, I did just want to give special mention to the match against Terry Funk in Houston (7/1/77). It’s become honestly one of my favorite matches. Probably Harley’s best, as far as I’m concerned.

I don’t believe Gypsy Joe will make my list at all, but I’ve also only recently started to get into his work — that is, what of it I’m able to find online. Specifically, his IWE matches against Rusher Kimura on 12/3/76 and 5/7/79, and his match against Ashura Hara on 11/7/79, have been stand outs for me. Maybe if more footage sees the light of day between now and 2036 I can reasonably consider him, but not now.
