  1. Awesome! So myself @ColdStone @Scarlet-Left@Captain Redneck. @superkix are you still interested? 3 was the minimum, so we have that. Are we cool with a draft? First round we draft promotions, the test talent? With 4 we can have some good variety. I'd say drop the wwe brand split unless two people want to work together?
  2. Way to miss the point @rovert. Nobody is arguing that having more context doesn't help you. However saying you can't comment without that context is ludicrous. We are talking about a potential major new wrestling company, let's discuss that not about how some people have heard of that band before others.
  3. I haven't been on the board much lately, but damn this thread is an embarrassment. I like the idea of another "major" promotion. If they get a good TV deal they should do really well. They have an "it" factor, they have a major backer, they are in great shape. I really like how Khan says he wants to do a Nitro type show, which I hope means a show that will showcase wrestlers from allover. Or should I not have these opinions, since I never watch BTE or All In and I haven't seen a Kenny Omega match since he debuted in NJPW?
  4. I would, if we are drafting off rosters, to do a modern day ECW. A smaller promotion with PPV with current talent would be fun. What's fun about doing current day and we could be booking in real time is that injuries would really play a role and if a new talent comes arrives they get mixed in. I'm glad someone wants to do the WWE, because they would be necessary for something like this. If we do a draft, we could have WWE, ECW, and the third (unless someone else joins) could be a WCW, AEW, Impact, ROH, MLW, whatever.. lots of options. WCW would be pretty good because they would be legit competition.
  5. Nick Gage vs Josh Briggs 1/1/19 BEYOND A brutal brutal brutal garbage match which made Briggs a star in BEYOND. The first match of the year and an excellent match to boot. Not quite the David Starr-Joey Janella one from last year, but pretty excellent and well worth a watch.
  6. There are two ways to go, start with current rosters. One could take NXT, one SD, and one Raw. If another joins they could take 205 and we could do whatever from there. Other option, which I would prefer, is that we draft out promotions and rosters. We would need a WWE, but the other two (or more) promotions could be anything. ROH, WCW, ECW, TNA, PWG, or whatever. What are others thinking?
  7. Nice. That's three so atleast a wcw vs www vs ecw situation. We'll wait a week, see if others can join and if not I'm cool with this. Others coming in later can always be indies.
  8. Awesome! There is just so much talent out there, especially in the WWE. I really like the idea of drafting a promotion too, so that means everybody can do their own niche. You could draft WWE/F and be huge or maybe you want something smaller with less time commitment like a PWG. Maybe you like death matches and want to be, insert your favourite garbage promotion here. Heck I'd even be tempting to pick IWC and run an once a month lucha promotion in LA.
  9. This was discussed in 2018, but never happened. I figure new year, new thread? -SirEdgar -superkix -Grimmas all have shown interest before, but would anybody be on board? We were thinking of using current talent to do booking whether with current promotions or draft out to different promotions. We could do territory days or 90s or a mix where we each draft our promotion and they could be any from whatever time period. Anybody on board?
  10. We could even do old school territories or promotions. Like WWF/WCW/ECW or whatever but with current talent if we wanted.
  11. I'd be in yes, a Canadian or a women's promotion.
  12. or a women's promotion.
  13. Not enough interest? If we think of doing 2019, I'd do a Canadian promotion. SMASH or whatever.

  18. Pro Wrestling Only is proud to now house the "Who Booked This?" podcast. Each week, Steven Graham and JR Goldberg take a look at pro wrestling's most irreverent and bizarre matches and moments. In this episode, the Golden Grahams are here to talk about the moment when Roddy Piper ceased to be over in WCW, a.k.a. the night Piper had tryouts for family to compete at Uncensored 1997. They'll discuss that in full in all of it's insanity, including words from Stevie Ray about how John Tenta felt about the whole thing. They will follow that up with a look at the main event of Uncensored 1997, which is utterly bizarre, but has an AMAZING ending. Have thoughts on the show? Please share them here at the Pro Wrestling Only forums! You can also join the official "Who Booked This?" club.

  20. I really like that free agent roster, is there room for one more?
  21. Thank you, glad you enjoy it. As for Porky-Escorpion, it's one of my favourite matches ever! Maybe one day.
  22. Way too much drama for me in a fun game. Getting DMs and questions on facebook from mods. Sorry, I'm out.
  23. The Golden Grahams are back from their summer vacation to bring you the ultimate Who Booked This? as we look at an episode of GLOW from November 1986. Sylvester Stalone's mom is here along with some of the worst and most racist comedy ever! We cover all that, along with some wrestling matches that may or may not be alright! Note: The original video we watched was removed from YouTube by the WWE, so I don't know how you will watch what we watched. Also, if we did pause to insert any clips, it won't happen. Our apologies.
  24. World Wonder Ring for August 15, 1986 on Fuji TV After some highlights from last week's first round matches, we get hype for tonight's final two matches of the first round of the WWA Tag Team Titles Tournament. In the main event Bull Nakano & Condor Saito will take on The Crush Girls, but up first we have Red Typhoons vs Debbie Combs & Lola Gonzalez. Red Typhoons vs Debbie Combs & Lola Gonzalez in a first round match of the WWA Tag Team Titles tournament. Combs and Gonzalez were rough to start, but the Typhoons are an explosive team and after some back and forth action picked up the victory to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. Akira Nogami vs Naoki Sano The Crush Gals vs Bull Nakano & Condor Saito in a first round match of the WWA Tag Team Titles tournament. With Dump Matsumoto in the corner of her team of the Atrocious Alliance, we get a war! A brawl from the get go where Dump was not afraid to interject, especially focusing on Nagayo. In fact, Dump blooded Nagayo up after a vicious shot with a steel chair. After a long and wild brawl, Dump nailed Nagayo leading to Nakano hitting a flying legdrop to advance to the semi-finals!
