  1. Bret Hart's book just arrived in the mail. I'll start reading it real soon (probably today). I got curious about this book after reading the "Pain and Passion: History of Stampede Wrestling" book. The Stampede book and Dynamite Kid's book are my favourite wrestling books. And I think Bret Hart's book will also be very interesting to read.
  2. I participated in the Greatest Wrestler of All Time poll that was held at smarkschoice forum quite a while ago now (I think it was about two years ago?). And I know some of you guys participated in that poll as well. I remember Jumbo Tsuruta winning it. But has anything been saved from that poll? Any lists or posts?
  3. There were already workers in Mexico using high flying moves in the 1930s. Chino Achiu is credited with the invention of the tope. Satoru Sayama obviously had made a great impact. And he was a very impressive performer in his prime. He was a man who revolutionized wrestling. But the thing is that the bar for high flying moves has been rased many times over the decades. And maybe Sayama raised that bar a little higher than almost anyone else ever did (and maybe he inspired more people than almost anyone else ever did), which I guess is where this talking of him bringing flying to Mexico comes from, but he definitely should not be credited with bringing flying to Mexico. By the way, I believe Matzura Matzuda was the first Japanese wrestler in Mexico in 1935 and credited with the invention of the dropkick.
  4. By the way, I clearly remember that Avatar (Al Snow) was supposed to be on that Jannetty/Hakushi/Horowitz/Holly team. But I think they replaced Avatar with Holly, because the Avatar gimmick wasn't getting over. I always liked the Perfect team, Mr. Perfect & the three Demolition members (Smash, Crush and Ax). And yeah, that Teamsters team was great. Too bad they turned Diesel face.
  5. By the way, where is Jose? I noticed he hasn't been posting anything for a while now.
  6. 1992 had the best Royal Rumble match and it could've been the best event if it wasn't for that horrible Bushwackers vs. Beverly Brothers match. I really liked the 1994 Royal Rumble PPV. I guess that's my favorite. I also like how it was basically a very big part of the WrestleMania X build-up. But really the best was the 1991 Royal Rumble PPV. It also featured the best match ever on a Royal Rumble PPV, The Rockers vs. The Orient Express. By the way, was the Sgt. Slaughter vs. Ultimate Warrior match left out from the listings in the first post on purpose?
  7. I liked how there was a special portion on the DVDs where Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho talked about Shawn's horrible brown pants from Survivor Series 2002. That and all those (Midnight) Rockers matches were the biggest highlights for me. Yeah. And Ninja Go is Ryuma Go, right? I liked that match quite a lot. By the way, is that a Nazi swastika Super Ninja was having on his gloves (if so, I guess that's to make him look evil)?
