Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , March 5th Art Barr vs. Eddie Guerrero It was no surprise when these two put on a real barn burner of a match. It was a big surprise, however, when, after a fast paced and thrilling match, Eddie Guerrero went up top and landed on Barr with a frog splash, Art's own signature move. Art Barr was enraged after the match at Guerrero stealing his move, but US Steel came out and was able to calm him down. The Hart Foundation vs. "Mean" Mike Miller & Bob Orton A gritty affair where the Harts were able to execute the Hart Attack on Orton to pull out the win over the Crazy Gang. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. The Bomb Squad (Chris Candido & Al Snow) This was an incredibly close match which ended when Blackman went for a running bicycle kick on Candido, but Candido ducked under it at the last second and Blackman ran right into a superkick from Snow, giving the win to the Bomb Squad. US Steel vs. Mando Guerrero The veteran Mando did his best against the huge US Steel, but the good natured hard hat caught him in a crushing bearhug and forced him to give up the match. Ron Simmons & Curt Hennig vs. Maxx Payne & Lord Humongous This was an absolute war between the Brigade and the Crazy Gang. After a brutal fight, Simmons and Hennig were finally able to take down Humongous with a double clothesline, and Hennig rolled up the man in the hockey mask with a double leg cradle, just barely holding his shoulders down for the three count. Ronnie Garvin vs. Buddy Rose The Playboy wasn't too keen to lock up with the man with the Hands Of Stone, but made sure to have his young follower, Cannonball Grizzly, at ringside. While Garvin did a lot of damage to Rose, Grizzly was able to provide enough of a distraction that Rose was able to catch Garvin in a schoolboy rollup assisted by two fistfuls of tight to get a tainted win. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Barry Windham © vs. Jack Victory Victory was coming off a big win at Aloha Spectacular and, with his mentor Mr. Bob Backlund by his side, had momentum on his side. Windham was clearly taking the match seriously, and the result was a real nail biter of a match. It looked like Windham would put away this latest threat when he blocked an attempted Victory-Plex with an elbow smash to the back of Victory's head, then set him up for a running bulldog headlock. But he was unable to get the move off as he was attacked from behind by the One Man Gang, who came out of nowhere to charge into the ring. As the ref called for the DQ, the big 747 landed a number of heavy blows onto the champ before Ron Simmons and Curt Hennig rushed out to defend the Brigade leader. One Man Gang chose not to engage with them, but pointed at Windham before leaving the ring.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, March 4th Billy Jack Haynes vs. John Kenney One of the big moments from the recent Aloha Spectacular was the return to PCW of long time favorite Billy Jack Haynes, along with the debut of his new manager Sunshine. Unfortunately, a distraction by Mr. Bob Backlund led to Billy Jack losing to "Venomous" Jack Victory. Possibly due to this loss, Billy Jack seemed extra determined to show in his match with the rookie Kenney that he had not lost his touch. He tossed Kenney from pillar to post like a rag doll, finally finishing him off with a mighty shoulder breaker. Billy Jack is definitely back and the fans love him for it. But you can bet he is going to have his sights set on getting vengeance on Jack Victory and the Knights Templar. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest is one of the more, err, unconventional competitors here in Pacific Coast Wrestling .. Cactus Jack! The fans give a warm welcome to Cactus as he heads out to the ring. Cactus seems unsure how to react to this greeting but joins Frank Bonnema. Bonnema : Cactus, in your short time in Pacific Coast Wrestling, you have got a lot of people behind you, but at the same time , you have drawn the ire of "Mean" Mike Miller and the Crazy Gang. Care to comment? Cactus : Well, Frank Bonnema … hee hee! … I really don't know what exactly is Mike Miller's problem with me, but he isn't the only Mean one in PCW! I've never been one to back down from a fight, so if Miller, Sabu or any other member of Crazy Gang wants a piece of me, well, I'm not going anywhere. Bonnema : Speaking of the Crazy Gang, one ally you have found against them has been Leo Burke. Any chance this might become a full time alliance? Cactus : Leo Burke is a good man and has helped me out, but no offer has been made. I am not one to … As is on cue, a whoop comes up from the crowd as the door to the aisle opens up. Bonnema and Cactus look down the aisle and Cactus gives a gap toothed grin as he sees Leo Burke emerge with the rest of the Army. Burke, Shane Douglas, Steve Blackman, US Steel and Art Barr head out to the ring, and Burke asks for the microphone. Burke : Sorry to interrupt, Cactus, but I've got something to say. I've kept an eye on you since you arrived in PCW, and you have impressed. You've taken everything the Crazy Gang have thrown at you and still kept going. Now, the Army is already pretty close to capacity. But Shane here has been talking non stop about what you are capable of, and we would be glad to become the Six Man Army to have you in the ranks. Douglas : Cactus, you and I go back a long way. When we were both starting out, we went up and down all the highways to all the small towns to learn to become wrestlers together. I know you march to the beat of your own drummer. But believe me that this Army is the best place for you to be. I've learned a ton from Leo, and so have Steve, Steel and Art. He can help you reach your full potential, and these guys are the best partners you can ever hope to have. What do you say? Cactus : Well, I'm not usually much of a joiner, but Leo, Shane, guys … I accept! Submission Title Tournament Match : Dan Severn vs. Sabu As announced a couple of weeks ago, PCW has newly minted a Submission Title, and this would be the first match in the tournament to crown the first champion. Dan "The Beast" Severn is a strong favorite in the tournament, but he would first have to get past the wild man of the Crazy Gang, Sabu. The always unpredictable Sabu did everything he could to try to get Severn set up for his Camel Clutch. But Severn bided his time, fought off every attempt to get the Camel Clutch on him, and then spring his trap. He devastated Sabu with a jarring series of suplexes, then cinched in the Body Scissors Sleeper, forcing Sabu to tap out. Severn is certainly going to be tough to beat in this tournament. Curtis Hughes vs. Travis Sampson One of the most recent arrivals in PCW has been the loud mouthed manager Ronnie P. Gossett. After taking control of the Wild Bulls, tonight he introduced his latest charge, the "Big Cat" Curtis Hughes. Hughes, a powerful man who played football for Kansas State, cut an imposing figure in the ring. But nobody present, certainly not Sampson, was ready for his speed. True to his name, Hughes pounced on Sampson like a lion and, with cat like quickness, proceeded to maul him with crushing power moves. He ultimately went for the kill with a move called the Cat's Claw where he whipped Sampson into the ropes and hit him with a modified side slam onto his knee. There was no getting up from that and Hughes had scored his first PCW win. With both Hughes and the Gantner Brothers on his side, Gossett is set to make a major impact in Pacific Coast Wrestling. Dingo Warrior vs. Mr. Hito Ever since his arrival in PCW at the start of the year, Dingo Warrior has torn through all of his opposition like a force of nature, all while brusquely rebuffing a series of offers from several managers and factions. That momentum came to a shuddering halt at Aloha Spectacular, with a shocking count out loss to Mr. Hito. Eager to get some payback, Dingo demanded an immediate rematch and was granted one tonight. Just like in Hawaii, Dingo came charging right out to the ring after Hito, and just like that night, he ran straight into a spin kick from Hito. But it turned out that Dingo had learned something from that match, as he braced himself for the blow and came back off the ropes with a clothesline that knocked Hito to the ground. Hito was able to come back, lacing into Dingo's legs with kicks that staggered him. But Dingo was determined to grit it out, and every time he was able to land a shot on Hito, it flattened the Japanese veteran. It seemed like Dingo would be able to avenge his loss when he started to hoist Hito up for the Press Slam. But quick as a flash, someone rushed into the ring and dropkicked him in the back, sending him to the mat. It was Masanobu Fuchi! Fuchi, Hito's partner who had not been seen in PCW in over a year, attacked the felled Warrior while the ref called for the DQ, and soon Hito joined him in a double team. When Dingo started to rally, Fuchi and Hito wisely bailed from the ring and they and Gary Hart headed to the back. It looks like Fuchi is now back with Gary Hart International. But is that a wise move, given he has now provoked the hot headed Dingo Warrior? Submission Title Tournament Match : Konnan vs. Hector Guerrero A fair argument can be made that the trend of Submission battles that led to the establishment of the new Submission Title started with a match in mid January between Konnan and Hector Guerrero. Konnan forced Hector to tap out in that match to the Tequila Sunrise. Hector was definitely fixed on evening the score, with the stakes being even higher with the chance to move on in the Submission Title Tournament. Once again, the power of Konnan and the skill of Hector seemed evenly match as they worked to try to get their respective holds on each other. It looked like Konnan would once again cinch the Tequila Sunrise on Hector, but Hector was able to block it with a single leg takedown. Hector proceeded to work over Konnan's legs , and finally got him up in the Gory Special. Konnan struggled mightily but couldn't break free and had to tap out, sending Hector into the next round of the tournament. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are on a crusade here in Pacific Coast Wrestling … the Knights Templar! The crowd explodes in boos as Mr. Bob Backlund leads Gary Young, Jack Victory, Chris Candido and Al Snow to the ring. Bob Backlund is stone faced with the hood to his robe pulled over his head, but the rest of the Knights have dour expressions on their faces. Gary Young : * grabbing the microphone from Bonnema * Give me that, this is Knights Templar business! (Bonnema immediately departs the ring.) It's time for a reckoning, and we all know it's coming. Mr. Bob Backlund, sir, we know we let you down. We went into Aloha Spectacular and, while you and Jack here won your matches, the rest of us couldn't get it done. I failed to win the California Title from Owen Hart, Chris lost the Light Heavyweight Title to Black Tiger, and Al lost to Tony St. Clair. We know we disappointed you, and whatever you have to say to us, we have it coming. Backlund : * slowly * Oh, my boys, my fine boys, my Knights in shining armour … you have made me so proud of you! (Young and the other Knights Templar look at each other in confusion.) I told you, we walk a righteous path. I also told you it would be a long hard road. It requires patience, but every step forward is itself a victory. Chris, the Light Heavyweight title was a distraction for you. You are better off without it. Al, you went toe to toe with Tony St. Clair, who is a top contender for any title he chooses. Your place is in the tag ranks, and the Bomb Squad are going to blow up any team that crosses their path. (Chris and Al look to each other and nod.) Jack, you showed how worthy you are of the name Victory. That Neanderthal Billy Jack Haynes and his trollop of a manager were looking to have a glorious return, but you showed them that PCW belongs to the Knights Templar! And Gary … you didn't take the California Title this time. But you took Owen Hart to the limit, and now we have a much clearer picture of his strengths and weaknesses. We are on a Crusade, and we have the strength of many because our hears are pure. As long as we keep the faith, we cannot be stopped. Do you have faith, my boys? The Knights all reply , "Yes!" Backlund : I SAID DO YOU HAVE FAITH? The Knights raise their fists and all shout, "YES!" Backlund : Then we cannot be stopped! British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. Fit Finlay & Ed Wiskowski While they started off the year as Pacific Tag Team Champions, British Steel have lately fallen on hard times. After losing the titles to the new version of the Midnight Express, they have suffered a series of losses and have had a hard time getting back on track. Meanwhile, Fit Finlay has gotten a number of high profile wins, but his more sportsmanlike behaviour has gotten under the skin of his fellow Playboy Club members. He and Easy Ed were clearly struggling to get on the same page tonight, and British Steel were certainly much more in synch in this match. But Finlay and the Polish Prince had a fair sized advantage with regards to power and brutality, and it was a very tense match up. At one point, Wiskowski decided he had enough, dragging Regal out of the ring and pulling up the ringside mat. He got Regal set up for a face first piledriver on the concrete, but Finlay clearly thought this was going too far. He pulled off Wiskowski and the two argued until Brookside came off with a dive from the top rope on top of them. In the confusion, Regal was able to make it back into the ring, giving the win to British Steel. After the match, Finlay and Wiskowski started to shove each other, and it might have erupted into a brawl had not Buddy Rose and Cannonball Grizzly run out and interposed themselves between them. The Playboy Club will need to straighten out this tension in their ranks, and they had best do it sooner rather than later.

With the Aloha Spectacular now in the books, Pacific Coast Wrestling isn't about to slow down, and coming up at the end of March will be Vegas Vengeance! This will be another 2 night show, and we are ready to make a few announcement for the line up : The second annual Pacific Tag Team Tournament! The finals of the tournament to crown the first ever Submission Champion! And the main event, a big tag team match, Barry Windham & Konnan vs. the One Man Gang & a mystery partner! We will announce the full lineup soon, but those are certainly exciting matches to look forward to.
-
Wow, Lisa Moretti prevails. I didn't think anyone could stop Wendi Richter.
-
Champ Tommy Rich is insufferable ... I love it!
-
looks like a very hot show. Reed vs. Lawler is the match I have my eye on, but all of them look set to deliver.
-
Now that my show is posted, will be sending Butch Miller and Luke Williams to Windy City (and from there to AWA) and cutting TNT and Rip Oliver, and picking up from free agency John Tatum, Nick Bockwinkel, Masanobu Fuchi and Curtis Hughes.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Aloha Spectacular 1987 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Night Two Leo Burke & Cactus Jack vs. Mike Miller & Sabu As unlikely looking a wrestler as he is, Cactus Jack sure has made an impression on a lot of people. In the case of Leo Burke and the fans, they have taken something of a shine to him. In the case of Mike Miller and the Crazy Gang, the impression has been much less favorable. Cactus has had a series of increasingly vicious scraps with Miller and Sabu, leading to this tag match. Leo Burke, who came to Cactus' rescue, agreed to be his partner but Cactus was keen to go after the Crazy Gang matches every chance he got. He was matched in sheer recklessness on the other side by Sabu, who seemed to be willing to match Cactus in taking crazy risks. Both Burke and Miller spent much of their time trying to reign in their headstrong young partners. While Sabu and Cactus provided many of the big moments in this match, it was the methodical Miller who bided his time and was able to sneak in the over the shoulder neckbreaker on Cactus to take the match. Cactus Jack seemed quite disheartened by his loss, but Burke looked to be giving him some words of advice afterwards, and that seemed to buck Cactus up somewhat. John Tenta vs. Ed Wiskowski Big John Tenta arrived in PCW with a major impact, immediately earning himself the enmity of the Playboy Club. The former Sumo wrestler has not for a moment been intimidated, but he was certainly facing a tough customer in the enforcer of the Playboy Club, "The Polish Prince" Ed Wiskowski. Easy Ed wasn't about to go easy on Tenta, and the ring shook with every big move the two powerhouses made. Wiskowski attacked Tenta with relentless ferocity, but when Tenta caught him with a powerslam off the ropes, that gave the big Canadian the opening he needed. He followed up with the Big Quake to put Wiskowski down for good. The Playboy Club may have put a target on his back, but John Tenta doesn't look to be going away any time soon. Art Barr vs. Bob Backlund Art Barr is another young wrestler new to PCW who has turned many heads with his flash and energy. The youngest member of the Five Man Army was facing the much more experienced Bob Backlund, a former world champion who brought a wealth of technical knowledge to the ring. As usual, the other members of the Knights Templar were at ringside, and they watched everything their leader did with rapt attention. Young Art Barr certainly was a lot for Backlund to handle, and his quickness and high flying moves kept Backlund off balance at several points. But the canny veteran bided his time, waiting for Barr to get over confident and go up top. Backlund sprung into action and tossed Barr off the top rope. After several jarring suplexes, Backlund locked Barr in the Crossface Chicken Wing, forcing him to tap out. The rest of the Knights Templar entered the ring after the match and surrounded Barr. But they didn't lay a finger on him. They simply stared at him until Backlund led them out of the ring. The Hart Foundation vs. Mando & Chavo Guerrero There have been a lot of big changes with the Hart Foundation since losing the Golden State Tag Team Titles. Bret had a series of thrilling matches with Pacific Heavyweight Title matches with Barry Windham leading to the Harts leaving Gary Hart International. Since then, the fans have embraced the Pink And Black Attack, and they have fought hard to try to get back in title contention. They certainly had their work cut out for them tonight as they faced the always dangerous Guerrero Brothers. Both teams seemed incredibly in synch, resulting in a tag team classic with plenty of combination moves and breathtaking action. Mando pulled off an impressive move when Bret hit him with a backdrop and Mando landed on his feet. But he had failed to notice that earlier, Bret had made a stealthy tag to Neidhart, and the Anvil levelled him with a mighty running tackle. Bret held off Chavo and Neidhart got the pinfall. An impressive win, but both teams shone in the eyes of the fans. Tony St. Clair vs. Al Snow Al Snow is another young up and comer who has drawn some attention in his relatively short time in PCW. A big part of the Bomb Squad, he has kicked it into a whole new gear since he started following the teachings of Mr. Bob Backlund. Meanwhile, "Tough" Tony St. Clair has scored a fair number of major wins and is looking to challenge for one of the main titles. Backlund was in Snow's corner for this match, but stood silent and observed, much like his men did for his match. Both Snow and St. Clair were taking each other quite seriously, and the two had a real nail biter of a match, with many near falls. Snow tried hard to get St. Clair set up for the Wheelbarrow Suplex, but St. Clair was able to stymie each attempt and hit the Floating Butterfly Suplex for the win. After the match, Backlund led his young charge away from the win, his stone face giving nothing of his feelings away. Konnan vs. Fit Finlay For the most part, Fit Finlay has been a loyal soldier for Buddy Rose and the Playboy Club. But lately, their have been rumblings in their ranks that he might be losing his edge, with a cooling of his aggression with the British Invasion and actually showing respect to his opponents. While he was not showing his trademark fury in his match with Konnan, he certainly wasn't treating him with kid gloves. The popular Latino rookie gave it his all, but the Belfast Bruiser was able to plant him with the Tombstone Piledriver and score the victory. After the match, Finlay helped Konnan back to his feet, a gentlemanly display that no doubt had the rest of the Playboy Club gnashing their teeth. Curt Hennig & Ron Simmons vs. Maxx Payne & Lord Humongous There were certainly no gentlemanly displays in this match. After being taken out several weeks ago at the hands of Maxx Payne, Simmons was out for vengeance, and Hennig was eager to help his Brigade brother I his quest. Payne and Humongous , in turn, were dead set on putting the Brigade out again, and the result was a chaotic match where the ref struggled in vain to get some semblance of control. Ultimately, with all four men brawling in the ring, the ref gave up and declared a no contest, and it took a full complement of PCW security to separate the two teams. The flame of hatred burns hot in these men, and tonight's match did nothing to put that flame out. Grudge Match : Rip Oliver vs. Buddy Rose To call this a Grudge Match is something of an understatement. Rip Oliver returned to the Pacific Coast with a white hot burning hatred for the Playboy, resenting the way he was treated back when he was an ally to Buddy Rose. He has brought the full force of his hatred to bear on the Playboy Club in a number of matches, getting some pinfalls on Rose but not quite getting his thirst for vengeance quenched. Rose was clearly not comfortable in this match, and brought his young acolyte Cannonball Grizzly with him as back up. The moment the bell rang, Oliver tore into Rose with wild, swinging lefts and rights, knocking him for a loop. Rose, always a canny and resourceful wrestler, kept digging into his back of tricks to get himself out of trouble. But Oliver was relentless, working out a lot of pent up aggression on Rose. Cannonball Grizzly tried to climb up the steps to bail out his leader, but the ref spotted him and ordered him to return to the floor. However, it turned out that was just a distraction, as Rose capitalized by swiftly pulling off the turnbuckle pad and pulling Oliver hard into the exposed bolt face first. By the time the ref turned around, Rose hit the staggered Oliver with the Inside Out Backbreaker and went for the pin. The ref failed to notice Rose's feet on the ropes and made the three count. As seems to be his specialty, The Playboy had made another narrow escape. California Title Match : Owen Hart © vs. Gary Young The arrival of Mr. Bob Backlund and the formation of the Knights Templar have really seemed to have lit a fire under Gary Young. He has rocketed up the rankings and provided a considerable challenge for Owen Hart's California Title. A stark contrast to his brief, unsuccessful first run in PCW, Young has reemerged to become one of the most dangerous contenders in all of the Pacific Coast. He and Backlund stared impassively at Owen as the champion made his way to the ring, but once the bell rang, he went right to work. Owen, for his part, was champion for a very good reason, showing his considerable skill and athleticism as he fought off Young's attacks and did a fair amount of damage of his own. But Young was relentless, and the match was a real nail biter. It looked like the title would finally go to Young when he had Owen set up for his devastating DDT. But Owen blocked it and, in a show of incredible determination, grabbed him around the waist and hit a Northern Lights Suplex. It took nearly everything he had but he was able to hold Young's shoulders down for the three count. Owen was exhausted but triumphant and the fans applauded his impressive victory. Young was quite downcast and Backlund was brooding as he led his pupil from the ring. No Time Limit, 2/3 Falls Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Midnight Express vs. Jeff Jarrett & Dan Severn It seemed like Jim Cornette pulled off the turnaround of the century when he brought in Stan Lane to join the Midnight Express and regain the Pacific Tag Team Titles that they had only just lost. The Midnight Express were walking tall, with no one succeeding in prying the belts from their grasp. But they met a major stumbling block in PCW's Odd Couple, who have taken the champs to the distance in title matches and put a real scare into Cornette and his men. The match was signed for the two teams to face off in what was not only a 2/3 falls match but one with no time limit. Jarrett and Severn were the first out, shaking hands with the fans as they came out. But the Express quickly ambushed them from behind, driving Severn into the steps and dragging Jarrett into the ring. They relentlessly double teamed the dazed second generation star until hitting a Flapjack and getting the pinfall. The match had barely started and Jarrett and Severn were already down by one fall. The ref ordered Lane out of the ring and informed Cornette he would keep a close eye on him for any funny business. Jarrett had taken a lot of damage, and the Express did a masterful job of keeping him from tagging out. But he was slowly regaining his strength, doing his best to minimize the impact of what they were doing to him. He was able to fight them off with some dropkicks, and finally did a shoulder roll between them and make the tag to Severn. It was now time for the Beast to take control. He started to wear down Eaton with jarring throws and suplexes. Every time he went for a pinfall, Lane would be there to break it up. He then took a different tack, trapping Eaton in some painful looking armbars that seemed as though they might just pull the limb out of the socket. Lane did his best to break those up too, but they were clearly taking quite a toll. He finally went all out, hitting a series of backdrop suplexes before locking Eaton in the body scissors sleeper. Lane tried to come in , but Jarrett intercepted him with a diving clothesline, and Eaton was forced to tap out. Jarrett and Severn had evened up the count. But the effort had clearly exhausted the Beast, and Severn was breathing heavily as he tried to get the clinching decision. Eaton was eventually able to break away and tag in Lane. The two got in some combination moves on Severn, but worn out as he was, Severn would not stay down for long. He was finally able to lunge into his own corner and tag in a refreshed Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett was the proverbial house afire, sending both Lane and Eaton flying with dropkicks. He went wild on Lane, and when he took him down with a running cross body block it looked like the titles would be theirs. But Eaton came off the top with a flying kneedrop on Jarrett and put Lane on top, and Severn was unable to break up the pin in time. The Midnight Express had been able to outlast the Odd Couple in what the fans all agreed was a classic match. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Barry Windham © vs. TNT After two great nights of wrestling action, all that was left was the main event. Ever since he won the Pacific Heavyweight Title from Buddy Rose, Barry Windham has been a fighting champion, facing off a host of challengers. But TNT has been an especially tenacious one, and Windham has not yet been able to get a decisive victory over the Puerto Rican firebrand. The two could barely wait for the bell to ring and they tore right into each other. Windham laid in punches with authority, while TNT fired back with intense chops and kicks. The two went at it hard for a long period of time, with neither man holding the advantage for long. Windham was able to dodge out of the way of a couple of attempts at the Caribbean Kick, while TNT was able to duck under Windham's lariat. Windham was finally able to knock TNT down with a running tackle, but TNT fell into the ref and knocked him to the ground. Windham went for the cover, but the ref was in no condition to make the count. Windham then went over to try to rouse the referee, and that's when TNT saw his chance to strike. When Windham turned around to face him, TNT cut loose with the green mist. But Windham got his hand up at the last second and blocked the mist. Laughing triumphantly, Windham rubbed the mist into TNT's eyes before laying into him with a series of haymakers. He then hoisted TNT up on the top turnbuckle and took him down with a Superplex. The ref staggered over and made the three count. Windham had faced a stern test, but had come out on top. He raised his belt over his head and victory, and the fans cheered him on … until they suddenly went silent. Windham looked to see what had caused this reaction. The huge One Man Gang was standing in the aisle, Gary Hart by his side and his chain slung over his shoulder. One Man Gang pointed at Windham before turning around and heading to the back. Windham may have prevailed over TNT, but his next challenger has already emerged.

No worries, I am pretty keen to get my roster shifts done too.

Love the development of young Scott Steiner. Rockers vs. New Breed would be a super fun 80s tag match. Amazing main event, big fan of the heel duo of Idol and Landell. Carnival Carnage is set to be awesome!

Quick note that the Bushwhackers are still technically on the PCW roster (although effective tomorrow evening they will be on the Windy City roster, and then on to the AWA)

Pacific Coast Wrestling Aloha Spectacular 1987 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Night One The Rainbow Warriors (Vic Steamboat & Brian Adams) vs. The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) What a difference a year makes. Last year, Steamboat and Adams were heated rivals who squared off against each other at the 1986 Aloha Spectacular. This year, these two proud sons of Hawaii have formed a solid team as the Rainbow Warriors and would face one of the most intimidating teams in PCW, the Wild Bulls. The hometown boys were the strong favorites of the crowd, who loudly cheered them throughout the match. This annoyed Ronnie P. Gossett, the new manager of the Bulls, to no end, and he kept telling the crowd to pipe down, which only made them cheer louder. The Bulls took their frustration out on Adams and Steamboat, and the two teams had quite the scrap. But Steamboat was able to catch Rick with a Top Rope Flying Cross Body Press and keep him down while Adams held off Ed, getting a crowd pleasing victory for the Rainbow Warriors. Jack Victory vs. ?? ?? "Venomous" Jack Victory has been on a serious tear since accepting the mentorship of Mr. Bob Backlund as part of the Knights Templar. Backlund was at ringside for his match, and many were keen to see who would be the mystery opponent and if they could maybe take Victory down a peg or two. The fans were on tenterhooks until they announced that the opponent, led to the ring by Sunshine, would be …. BILLY JACK HAYNES! The fans exploded as Billy Jack came out. The Oregon native had not been seen in PCW in over a year, and was certainly making his return in a big way. Backlund had a sour look on his face, but Victory was eager to lock up with Haynes. Haynes certainly hadn't lost a step in his time away from PCW, showing all the power and confidence that had made him a big favorite among the fans. But Victory was not about to take a step back from Haynes, firing back with his own rough and ready offense. They continued to duke it out until Backlund decided to take exception to the presence of Sunshine. He was up in her face, bellowing something about her supposed loose character and choice of dress. Sunshine was clearly terrified, and this provided sufficient distraction for Billy Jack. He came over to the ropes and started shouting at Backlund to get away from Sunshine. This proved to be a trap, as Victory rushed over and nailed Billy Jack with a knee lift to the ribs. He then followed up with the Victory-Plex and stole the win. A tainted victory, but Backlund and "Venomous" Jack were gloating like they had just won the heavyweight title. Soon enough, they will have to deal with an angry Billy Jack, coming after them for vengeance and the honour of Sunshine. US Steel vs. Bob Orton Ever since his arrival in PCW, big US Steel has had to deal with the wily Ace of the Crazy Gang. After suffering a loss due to Orton's loaded elbow pad, Steel managed to get a win by DQ over Cowboy Bob, but has yet to manage a pinfall victory. He was dead set on correcting that tonight as he went after Orton with determined aggression. Orton capably fired back on his own, letting fly with his own lefts and rights. But the huge Steel man was a lot to try to hold back. Steel kept after Orton, but every time he thought he had him trapped, the cunning Cowboy showed his experience and turned the tables. Steel kept after him, chipping away at Orton's defenses, until Orton looked like he was about to steal another win, sneaking something into his forearm pad. But before he could get a chance to use it, Steel leveled him with a mighty shoulder tackle. He then hit an over the knee backbreaker and followed it with a crushing front slam that got him the one two three. Steel had pulled out the biggest win so far of his time in PCW, to the cheers of the fans. Falls Count Anywhere Match : Tabarnak De Team (Jos Leduc & Pierre Carl Ouellet) vs. The Sheepherders These two teams have been at each other's throats for the past two months, and putting this match with a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation was a sure fire gateway to craziness. As could be imagined, all four men waged a war all over the arena, going off into the crowds and all over the ringside area. The Sheepherders focused much of their attention on Ouellet, perhaps thinking the younger man would be easier pickings. But Ouellet was made of sterner stuff, being tough enough to be the hand picked partner of Big Joe Leduc. He wound up sending Butch Miller face first into the corner post, busting open the New Zealander's forehead. He then went up to the top rope and went all the way to the floor with a flying senton, which got a gasp from the crowd. Then he and LeDuc hit Luke Williams with the Clear Cut (Leduc put Williams over his knee while Ouellet came off the top with a flying elbow smash) on the concrete and that was enough to put an end to the threat of the Sheepherders. Ron Garvin vs. The One Man Gang The One Man Gang has been on a rampage through Pacific Coast Wrestling, dispatching opponents left and right with ease. It seemed like nobody would be able to hold off the big 747. But the return of Ronnie Garvin to PCW put quite a stumbling block to Gary Hart's biggest stable member. The original man to have the name "One Man Gang" quickly let it be known that he would not tolerate any of OMG's bullying. Garvin was a house afire in this match, peppering Gang with punches that showed why he was known as the man with the Hands Of Stone. But the huge Gang was a lot to try to hold back, and any time he got a blow in on Garvin, he made it count. Garvin did everything he could, taking bigger chances as the match went on. He eventually tried to whip Gang into the corner, but Gang reversed it and followed up by crushing him with an Avalanche. This took the wind out of Garvin's sails, and once Gang hit the front layout suplex, it was all over. But that wasn't enough for Gang, who hit a running splash on Garvin after the match. Will anyone be able to put a stop to him? Dingo Warrior vs. Mr. Hito The impressively muscled Dingo Warrior is one of the hottest properties in PCW, drawing attention and offers from several managers and factions. Thus far, Dingo has curtly rebuffed all offers. But Gary Hart is not one for taking no for an answer, letting Dingo know that there would be harsh consequences should he not join up with him. Dingo was not swayed, and now Hart has sent his personal enforcer after him. Hart and Hito were the first out, the Japanese veteran keeping an icy poise as he stood in the ring. Dingo was the polar opposite, racing out to the ring and running back and forth between the ropes. The moment the bell rang, Dingo charged Hito with a clothesline … which Hito dodged with ease, then caught Dingo coming back off the ropes with a spin kick, knocking him off his feet. He laced into Dingo with vicious kicks, then immediately backed off when Dingo started to get back to his feet. Every time Dingo tried to rush headlong at Hito, Hito would effortlessly dodge and inflict more damage on the face painted one. While Dingo would be able to land some big shots on Hito, Hito was clearing wearing him down. Dingo tried to overpower Hito and get him up in his feared press slam. But Hito shut that down with a nasty thrust shot to the throat and, while Dingo was gasping for breath, Hito sent him tumbling out of the ring with a spinning knee strike to the side of the head. Dingo was just barely able to get back to his feet but was not able to get back in the ring in time to beat the count. The crowd was in shock as Hito and Hart gloated in the ring. Dingo Warrior may have seemed unstoppable, but he has a bit more to learn before he can get past Mr. Hito. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. Hector & Eddie Guerrero Although he has only just started his career in Pacific Coast Wrestling, Eddie Guerrero has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most exciting young men in wrestling. Although he has developed a fast rivalry with fellow second generation wrestler Art Barr, tonight he and his older brother would be facing two other members of the Five Man Army. He certainly dazzled the crowd with his spectacular offense and high flying moves. But Blackman and Douglas had a bit more experience than Eddie, both in the ring and as a team. They kept tagging in and out, hitting their combination moves and keeping Hector from coming to the rescue of his younger brother. Eddie got reckless and ended up running into the running Bicycle Kick from Blackman, giving the win to Black Gold. A tough loss for Eddie, but he showed incredible potential. Texas Red vs. Cannonball Grizzly The return of Texas Red to the Pacific Coast went from cheers to tears after he was ambushed by the powerful newcomer Cannonball Grizzly. Red was making his first appearance in the ring since then, and he was out for blood. But Grizzly was no pushover, and was just as determined in his quest to prove himself to his new allies in the Playboy Club. These two tore into each other, with neither man taking a backwards step as they threw everything they had at each other. The action wound up spilling out of the ring, but Red and Grizzly paid no heed to the count and kept slugging it out with each other until they were both counted out. Even with the decision, they kept after each other until they were finally separated by security. I definitely don't think we have seen the last of this feud. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : Badd Company © vs. British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) Now that they have turned their backs on the fans and taken a place in Gary Hart International, Badd Company have pulled themselves out of a decline and come roaring back with a vengeance, taking the Golden State Tag Team Titles. Tonight, they would have to defend them against former Pacific Tag Team champs British Steel. British Steel have been on a bit of a decline since they lost the titles to the Midnight Express, and were determined to show that they were still contenders. They certainly showed why they were such a highly regarded young team, putting up a determined challenge to get the Golden State belts. While Badd Company swiftly moved in and out of the ring to get any double team opportunity they could, Regal and Brookside hit back hard, such was their focus and teamwork. Badd Company wound up showing the treachery that got them the titles, with Tanaka sneakily using a set of brass knucks to cold cock Regal, setting him up for a rolling kick from Diamond to get them the win. Badd Company had retained the titles and sent British Steel back to the foot of the line. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Chris Candido © vs. Black Tiger Although his bratty and obnoxious attitude has not made him many fans outside the Knights Templar, Chris Candido has kept a vice like grip on the Light Heavyweight belt. Contenders have come and gone, but the Bomb Squad member has remained secure in his position as the champ. But the masked Black Tiger has put more than a little bit of a scare into Candido, the champion doing everything he could to avoid facing him. He had no choice tonight as the title match was signed. After much stalling, Candido did still really put it to Black Tiger, while Tiger went after him just as hard. The two had a thrilling match that many considered one of the best Pacific Light Heavyweight title matches ever. Candido thought he had out maneuvered Tiger when he got on his shoulders for a Victory Roll. But Tiger had him spotted and dropped him hard , throat first , on the top rope. He then followed up on the staggered Candido with the Black Tiger Bomb . One … two … THREE!!!! The crowd roared as Black Tiger held his newly won Light Heavyweight Title belt above his head. Candido's long reign had finally ended. Pacific Television Title Match : Big Bubba Rogers © vs. Brian Pillman The main event for the first night would be the dominating bodyguard for Camp Cornette, Big Bubba Rogers, defending his TV title against Brian Pillman. Pillman actually holds a countout victory over Big Bubba and was razor keen to win the title. Although Big Bubba towered over him, the Cincinnati native was not intimidated for a second. Pillman wisely did a stick and move offense with Rogers, striking quickly with chops and dropkicks before dashing out of the way. Rogers was able to take him down with a big tackle and inflict some damage. But Pillman was resilient, recovering and coming right back at him. It seemed like he might just pull it off when he had Rogers lined up for the Air Pillman. But that was when Jim Cornette made his move. He snagged Pillman's ankle with the tennis racquet, tripping him as he tried to spring from the top rope. Pillman dropped face first to the mat, and Rogers planted him with an elbow dropped. He then whipped the former Bengal into the ropes and drove him down with the Big Bubba Slam. Pillman came close, but for tonight at least, it was not quite enough.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Show from the UCSB Event Center, Santa Barbara, February 20th US Steel & Art Barr vs. Bob Orton & "Mean" Mike Miller Orton and Miller pinned young Art Barr after hitting a double lariat on him The Rainbow Warriors (Vic Steamboat & Brian Adams) vs. Mando & Eddie Guerrero The Rainbow Warriors executed the Refraction (suspended vertical suplex by Adams into a flying cross body press by Steamboat) on Eddie for the win Cactus Jack vs. Jack Victory Cactus gave Victory a hell of a fight but ultimately went down to the Victory-Plex Black Tiger vs. Sabu Sabu proved to be a tough challenge for Black Tiger, but the masked man retained his poise and was able to put him down with a flying kneedrop Badd Company & Mr. Hito vs. British Steel & Tony St. Clair This was a long, intense battle where St. Clair was finally able to get the win for his team by knocking down Tanaka with the spinning forearm smash California Title Match : Owen Hart © vs. Hector Guerrero The main event for the evening was a thrilling title match that saw Owen retain when he blocked the Guerrero Clutch and counter with a victory roll for the one two three

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, February 19th Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. The Bomb Squad (Chris Candido & Al Snow) The evening opened up with an exciting tag team showdown that wound up going to a 15 minute time limit draw Jeff Jarrett vs. Stan Lane Lane got the tainted victory when Bobby Eaton snuck in the ring and clipped Jarrett's leg from behind . After the match, Dan Severn came out to back up his partner and the two teams brawled until they were ordered by security to leave the ring The Hart Foundation vs. The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) This was a hard hitting battle where Neidhart was just barely able to get the pin on Rick Gantner after a flying tackle Tabarnak De Team (Jos Leduc & Pierre Carl Ouellet) & John Tenta vs. The Sheepherders & Cannonball Grizzly This was a crazy match that Grizzly took for his side after a huge belly to belly suplex on Ouellet Ron Garvin vs. Ed Wiskowski As one could imagine, neither man held back in a fight that wound up going to Ron Garvin after he caught the Polish Prince in a top rope sunset flip Pacific Television Title : Big Bubba Rogers © vs. Brian Pillman After being frustrated trying to get a clear shot at Flyin' Brian throughout the match, Rogers lost by DQ when he attacked Pillman with Jim Cornette's tennis racquet. Rogers retained the TV title. Barry Windham & Konnan vs. TNT & One Man Gang Gary Hart's men won the match when One Man Gang crushed Konnan in the corner with an Avalanche

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, February 18th Cactus Jack vs. Sabu Last week, Cactus had quite the throw down with Mike Miller, and "Mean" Mike gave impression of having taken a hard dislike to the man from Truth Or Consequences. That seemed to carry through to this week, as Miller accompanied the wild man of the Crazy Gang to the ring for his match with Cactus. Sabu seemed especially keyed up for this match, tearing into Cactus Jack with a vengeance, with "Mean" Mike encouraging him from ringside to attack. But Cactus was not about to give an inch to the Bombay Madman, and gave as good as he got. Eventually, Miller couldn't keep out of things any longer and came into the ring, attacking Cactus with a chair and causing the DQ. He and Sabu continued their assault on Cactus until Leo Burke charged in and ran them out of the ring. Burke helped Cactus up and out of the ring, but bloody though he was, Cactus defiantly raised his fist on the way out, getting a sympathetic cheer from the fans. Dingo Warrior vs. Brady Finta Ever since his arrival in PCW, several factions have attempted to court the Dingo Warrior to their side, but he has quickly rebuffed them all. Being refused twice by Dingo has seemingly stuck in the craw of Gary Hart, who showed up at ringside with TNT and Mr. Hito in tow, staring daggers at the face painted one through the whole match. The match wasn't long, with Dingo dispatching the rookie Finta with his usual ease. Afterwards, Dingo left the ring and got into a stare off with Gary Hart, with Dingo Warrior huffing and puffing and Hart glaring icily in return, but ultimately Dingo passed by him without further incident. It seems like it is only a matter of time before then tension between the two blows up. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentleman, my next guest is the commissioner of Pacific Coast Wrestling … Dutch Savage! The fans give a warm round of applause as the well respected retired veteran wrestler came out. He was carrying with him a large briefcase as he headed out and entered the ring. Bonnema : Dutch, you don't usually come out for interviews, so I know this must be something important. Is it anything to do with the briefcase you brought with you? Savage : Yes, it does, Frank. The office of Pacific Coast Wrestling has been noticing a bit of a trend among the PCW wrestlers lately. It seems like, more and more, the wrestlers have been using submission holds to try to finish their matches. It has been increasingly a point of pride to try to get the best of their opponents by forcing them to give up the match instead of ending it by pinfall. Well, PCW have been looking to adapt to this new trend. The rules committee and referees have officially recognized the Japanese rule of tapping out to signal submission in a match. And we have decided to add an extra incentive. (Savage opens up the briefcase and takes out a silver championship belt.) This belt represents the new Pacific Submission Title. The only way to win this title is by making your opponent give up in a submission match. And, to ensure that the matches are kept honorable, there will be drastically increased fines for disqualifications during submission matches. This will hopefully encourage the competitors to use their technical skills to try to win their matches, as well as make for some extra exciting and competitive contests for the fans. After next week's Aloha Spectacular, there will be a series of tournament matches on Pacific Wrestling Showcase. These will culminate at Vegas Vengance with the final match to crown the first ever Pacific Submission Champion. May the best man win! Dan Severn vs. Bobby Eaton Severn and his partner have been gunning hard for a Pacific Tag Team Title match with the Midnight Express, but first must get through a singles match with one half of the champs. Eaton went hard after Severn, showing his trademark fast paced offense while his manager, Jim Cornette , paced at ringside, doing everything he could to provide a distraction. But Severn showed his own signature poise, catching Eaton in some devastating throws before locking him in the body scissors sleeper. Struggle though he might, there was no escape for Eaton and he had to tap out. Cornette looked like he was about to have an aneurysm, realizing that the Midnight Express' tag titles were now more at risk than ever before. Tony St. Clair vs. Chavo Guerrero Ever since his arrival in PCW, "Tough" Tony St. Clair has compiled a list of impressive wins against top competition. Tonight, he would face the senior Guerrero Brother, and he was certainly far from a pushover. The two men engaged in a taught and hotly contested bout where at several points it looked like either man could take the match. In the end, it was St. Clair who prevailed by pinning Chavo with the Floating Butterfly Suplex. A convincing win what should go a long way to convincing the PCW championship committee that he is due for a shot at one of the Pacific Coast titles. Konnan vs. TNT TNT has been on a rampage through Pacific Coast Wrestling, gaining himself a shot against Pacific Heavyweight champ Barry Windham in the process. Young Konnan, one of the newest members of the Brigade, has asked for a match with the face painted one before his match with Konnan's Brigade colleague Windham and TNT was ready to oblige. Konnan may well have regretted that, as TNT seemed to be trying to make an example of him, tearing into him with savage chops and kicks. Konnan fought back hard, nearly getting him in position for the Tequila Sunrise. But while Gary Hart distracted the ref, TNT broke up the attempt with a vicious shot to the throat. While Konnan was staggered and gasping for breath, TNT hit the Caribbean Kick and got the pinfall. Barry Windham will need to bring everything he's got to keep his title from TNT at Aloha Spectacular. Curt Hennig vs. Maxx Payne As if the Brigade don't have enough on their hands with Gary Hart International, they also have the Crazy Gang to deal with. Several weeks ago, Maxx Payne dealt a heavy blow to the Brigade by sending their strongest member, Ron Simmons, out with a shoulder injury, and now was looking to do more damage in this match with Curt Hennig. Payne had both his manager Percy Pringle and his partner Lord Humongous in his corner, but Hennig did his best to ignore them and focus on the match at hand. He did use his speed and skill to keep Maxx Payne off balance, but couldn't quite get him off his feet. The moment it seemed like he just might be able to knock down Payne, Lord Humongous charged into the ring and started assaulting him with hockey mask assisted headbutts. This led to Payne losing by DQ, but it didn't seem to matter as he and Humongous double teamed Hennig. It was looking very bad for Hennig when somebody ran out and started tossing the Crazy Gang members from the ring. It was Ron Simmons! The All American is back, seemingly recovered from his injury and out for vengeance. If the Crazy Gang thought they had the Brigade on the ropes, they had best think again.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, February 13th Ron Garvin vs. Al Snow Snow proved to be quite the handful for Garvin but still went down to the Hands Of Stone Punch Steven Regal vs. Fit Finlay In something of a surprise, this was a close technical match that went to a 15 minute draw and, in further surprises, Regal helped Finlay up after the match and Finlay replied with a respectful nod before leaving the ring. Tony St. Clair vs. Mr. Hito Hito was very difficult for St. Clair to put down until "Tough" Tony finally was able to hit the spinning forearm smash to score the three count Robbie Brookside vs. Bob Backlund Despite a game effort from young Brookside, the mentor of the Knights Templar forced him to tap out to the Crossface Chicken Wing Golden State Tag Team Title Match : Badd Company © vs. Leo Burke & Art Barr Barr had the whole crowd behind him with his speed and high flying before going down to a cartwheel kick by Tanaka Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Midnight Express © vs. Dan Severn & Jeff Jarrett Severn and Jarrett won by DQ when the ref caught Eaton slugging Jarrett with Jim Cornette's tennis racquet . The Midnight Express still retained the tag titles. California Title Match : Owen Hart © vs. Chris Candido Hot on the heels of a long tag match the night before, Candido still gave Owen a considerable challenge for the California Title before finally losing to a blockbuster suplex.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards, February 12th Brian Pillman vs. Sabu The evening started off with duel of two exciting young high flyers that Pillman took with the Air Pillman Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. The Bomb Squad (Chris Candido & Al Snow) This turned into an intense tag duel that went to a 20 minute time limit draw Cactus Jack vs. Jack Victory This battle of Jacks ended in Victory hitting the Victory-Plex for the win Konnan vs. One Man Gang Try though he might, Konnan could not overcome the sheer mass of the big 747, who took him down with an Avalanche Curt Hennig vs. Bob Orton Hennig ducked under a clothesline from Orton and came back with a lariat for the victory Tabarnak De Team (Jos Leduc & Pierre Carl Ouellet) vs. The Sheepherders As can be imagined, this match was a ferocious brawl where the Sheepherders hit a double stomach breaker on Ouellet to get the win Rip Oliver & John Tenta vs. Buddy Rose & Cannonball Grizzly Rose seemed more than happy to let his young protégé Grizzly do the bulk of the fighting in this match. Even against the huge Tenta, Grizzly acquitted himself well, enough so that Rose felt confident enough to tag into the ring and face a battered Oliver. Big mistake, as Oliver still had enough of his wits about him to block an attempted Inside Out Backbreaker and counter it with a small package and get the one two three Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Barry Windham © vs. TNT A blistering fierce battle that ended up going to a double countout when both men were slugging it out outside the ring

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, February 11th Cactus Jack vs. "Mean" Mike Miller Slowly but surely, over the past few weeks the frankly odd Cactus Jack has been gaining notice, both among the fans and other wrestlers, for his wild and reckless style. While he seemed to gain the respect of Leo Burke last week, Mike Miller seemed much less enthused by the man from Truth Or Consequences. Miller seemed profoundly annoyed by everything Cactus did, and looked like he was adding an extra hint of viciousness in every shot he laid in. Cactus was undeterred and kept firing back, drawing the ire of Mean Mike even more. Things got incredibly heated and Cactus tried to put away Miller with his Russian Legsweep, but it was too soon, and Miller blocked and countered with the over the shoulder neckbreaker for the three count. But Miller was not done with Cactus and wanted to make an example of him, putting the boots to him after the match. The ref tried to intercede , but was knocked to the ground and Miller continued his assault on the prone Cactus. Cactus Jack's opponent from last week, Leo Burke, clearly had enough of this and rushed to the ring and ran Miller out of the ring. Evidently, the leader of the Crazy Gang has taken an immediate dislike to Cactus Jack, to put it mildly. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) & Art Barr vs. Hector, Mando & Eddie Guerrero This six man tag match is a rematch from last week. Once again, Art Barr and Eddie Guerrero were keen to go after each other throughout the match. While both teams tried to rein in their youngest partners, both men seemed fixated on each other. This time, it was Eddie who paid the price for his distraction, walking right into the running Bicycle kick from Blackman to give the win to the Army. Once again, Art and Eddie had to be held back by their partners after the match, still wanting a piece of each other. It looks like both of these young men have gotten under each other's skin , and sooner or later, something is going to blow. Dingo Warrior vs. John Palyok Ever since his arrival in Pacific Coast Wrestling, Dingo Warrior has been courted by several major factions, but has thus far, rebuffed every advance. Gary Hart had already made one attempt to bring him in to his organization, but Dingo wouldn't give him the time of day. Gary Hart is not a man accustomed to accepting "No" for an answer, and showed up at ringside with TNT and Mr. Hito in tow to observe Dingo's match and make another overture. After Dingo took care of Palyok (press slam and splash, natch), Hart called on him one more time. Hart : Dingo, my man! You are a hard man to get through to. You didn't want to listen to my offer before, so I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse. You've been knocking down your opponents left and right. Nobody has come even close to putting a dent in you. You are almost ready for the big time. Almost. You need that last push to take you over the top, the last bit of polish to make you unstoppable. That's where I come in. I will give you the push to help you fulfill your incredibly potential. And in return, you will pledge yourself to the cause of Gary Hart International. So you see, your choice is simple. You can either make a friend for life … or an enemy for life. And believe me, Dingo … I am not an enemy you want to have! Dingo : Your words do not scare me, Gary Hart! The Dingo Warrior walks alone, and fears no man. So do your worst, Gary Hart, and we will see who is left standing! TNT and Hito look like they are about to attack Dingo, but Gary Hart holds them back. Hart had a sour look on his face, but summons his troops and orders them back to the locker room. A storm cloud is gathering, and only time will tell if the Dingo Warrior can withstand it. Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. Cannonball Grizzly With his recent interview followed by a dastardly ambush of Texas Red, Cannonball Grizzly has made no secret of his aspirations to the Playboy Club. As you can imagine, this has drawn the attention of Rip Oliver and Tabarnak De Team. The younger half of TDT, Pierre Carl Ouellet, was out to avenge his friend Texas Red and went after Grizzly with furious intensity. He landed some heavy shots on Grizzly, but eventually the sheer size and power of Cannonball was too much for him to overcome. Grizzly took the wind out of his sails with a jarring belly to belly suplex, and once his hit the Cannonball Crush (top rope flying splash), that was the end. It's going to take a lot to put a stop to the big Cannonball. Jeff Jarrett & Dan Severn vs. Ed Wiskowski & Fit Finlay After a bit of a rough start to 1987 following their betrayal by Badd Company, the Odd Couple of PCW have gotten back on track and are making a fair claim to challenge for the Pacific Tag Team Titles held by the Midnight Express. Tonight, they would be facing off with the double tough team of Wiskowski and Finlay. Buddy Rose's two top lieutenants certainly held nothing back against Jarrett and Severn, but the Odd Couple were on a roll , and Jarrett was able to dodge an attempted clothesline in the corner by Finlay and follow up with a rollup that held the Belfast Bruiser's shoulders down for the one two three. In what is becoming a regular occurrence, Finlay respectfully slapped palms with both his opponents after the match, an act which seemed to annoy Wiskowski. Brian Adams vs. Rick Gantner For this singles match, Rick was accompanied not just by his partner and brother Ed, but by his new manager, Ronnie P. Gossett, who was making his PCW debut tonight. Gossett, a heavyset loudmouth out of Memphis wearing a pink cap, seemed a somewhat comical figure hollering at ringside. But he proved to be a canny threat, distracting the ref at a number of occasions that allowed Rick to gain a dirty advantage over Adams. Vic Steamboat, sensing his Rainbow Warriors partner would need some back up , came out part way through the match to watch Adams' back. Gossett was still able to draw the attention of the ref to allow Ed Gantner to jump into the ring to attack Adams. But Steamboat was just as swift to enter the fray, and the Wild Bulls and the Rainbow Warriors went at it in an all out melee. The ref turned around and saw all four men in the ring, then called for the bell, declaring a double DQ. Owen Hart & Brian Pillman vs. Bob Backlund & Gary Young Ever since his return to the Pacific Coast, it has been a whole new Gary Young, thanks to his mentor Mr. Bob Backlund. He has presented a strong challenge to Owen Hart and his California Title. The Snowbirds were out to shut this challenge down, showing the talent and tag coordination that got them a celebrated run as Golden State Tag champs. But the Knights Templar were not going to let up, with Bob Backlund giving Young constant advice that sent him back into the fray with renewed fervor. Young was able to easily block an attempted vertical suplex by Owen and countered with a brutal DDT that got him the pinfall. The Knights Templar had pulled off a major upset and Young had proven himself as a contender for the California Title.
