Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN , The Snowbirds (Owen Hart, Brian Pillman & Biff Wellington) vs. Mando, Chavo & Hector Guerrero The Snowbirds came out to a huge welcome from the crowd. It certainly didn't take long for these young men from Calgary (in one case, by way of Cincinnati ) to become big fan favorites. Their combination of good looks and dazzling talent generated immediate buzz. The Guerreros certainly changed their attitude to the team in the week since their match with them. Last week, the brothers were quite dismissive of the Snowbirds, but after their match on Pacific Super Cards where they went to a time limit draw, they are clearly considering them a threat and came out much more aggressively. For a bit, the veteran brothers dominated the younger teams, and it looked like the Snowbirds' earlier success might have been a fluke. But little by little, they started to come back, their natural athleticism pairing well with a determination to prove themselves. This made the Guerreros even angrier, but their tempers led them to start making more mistakes , and the Snowbirds eagerly took advantage. This culminated in Chavo whipping Owen into the corner, only for Owen to quickly ascend the turnbuckles and come off with a flying reverse body press. One … two … THREE!!! The Snowbirds just beat the Guerreros, and by pinning one half of the Golden State Tag Team champs, no less. The Guerreros were livid but the fans exploded in applause for the impressive victory. Clearly, the Snowbirds are a trio to watch out for. Chris Candido vs. Pat Cusack Much like the Snowbirds, Candido is a in impressive young newcomer looking to make his mark in PCW. Unlike the fan favorites, however, he distinctly lacks their positive energy, instead being possessed of a sour petulance that rubs everyone the wrong way. Despite all of that, there is no denying his considerable athletic gifts as he completely owned Cusack from beginning to end, polishing him off with a spectacular top rope sunset flip. A big win for the youngster from New Jersey. Hopefully he will find the right guidance to hone his talents and smooth off his rough edges. The Gold Exchange (Shane Douglas & Todd Morton) vs. The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) Oh , dear. Things started innocuously , with Douglas and Morton high fiving the fans on the way to the ring. But then, "Flirting With Disaster" by Molly Hatchet blared over the arena PA, and the Gantner Brothers stormed the ring. Immediately tossing Douglas from the ring, the Wild Bulls went to town on poor Todd Morton, tossing him from pillar to post with big power moves and double teams. Morton took a bad fall from one of them early on and was clearly hurt throughout the match, but that was just like, well, waving a reg flag in front of a bull. Ed Gantner showed no mercy, whipping him into the ropes before flattening him with the Bull Hammer (running forearm smash to the face). Even this was not enough for the Wild Bulls, and older brother Rick tagged himself in and destroyed Morton with not one but two Hangman's Drops (two handed suspended chokeslam) before finally putting his foot on his chest to get the three count. The carnage didn't stop there, as they pounded him with elbow and leg drops until the officials ordered them from the ring. Morton couldn't get up under his own power and had to be taken out on a stretcher. The other teams in PCW have to be concerned about this devastating pairing of the Gantner Brothers. Iron & Steel vs. James Lim & Bradley Kleihege When "Lethal" Larry Cameron walked out on the rest of the Thundercats last week, abandoning them to their fate at the hands of the Midnight Express, people were wondering just what had gotten into the powerful former football player. This is perhaps cleared up this week by the debut of a new tag team, Iron & Steel, a duo consisting of Cameron and none other than "Mr. USA" himself, Tony Atlas. The muscular duo towered over Lim and Kleihege and proceeded to dismantle their opponents, tossing them about the ring with ease before atlas forced Kleihege to give up to a Full Nelson. Cameron may have moved up the tag ranks with his switch to a new partner, but he certainly isn't winning points with the fans for loyalty. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Hollywood Knights (Gary Young & Dan Severn) Speaking of the Thundercats, Scorpio and Smiley seem to have lost a lot of focus and momentum since Cameron's betrayal. Case in point, tonight's match, where they just couldn't get things in gear against the new team of Young and Severn. It got to the point where Young started randomly working in cheap shots against Scorpio, not for any advantage but just to amuse himself. Occasionally, the Thundercats would rally, but it would be swiftly shut down by the Knights. Severn, in particular, showed a cool ruthlessness as he crushed Scorpio with a pair of backdrop suplexes before forcing him to give up to a Body Scissors Sleeper. A decisive victory for the Hollywood Knights. Hopefully, the Thundercats can come back from this and get back on track. Jim Duggan vs. Manny Fernandez The seemingly unstoppable campaign of terror from the Crazy Gang hit a major stumbling block with the arrival of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and his alliance with the members of the Playboy Club. Even with Fernandez having Grizzly Boone and Bob Orton in his corner didn't intimidate Duggan, who had Buddy Rose and Ed Wiskowski there to back him up. The Ragin' Bull was pretty used to having his way in the match, but the Pride of Glens Falls was having none of it, matching Fernandez shot for shot and haymaker for haymaker. Fernandez tried to goad Rose and Wiskowski into interfering, luring them into a brawl with the rest of the Crazy Gang, but should have kept his attention on Duggan, who blindsided him with a running spear and got the easy three count. It looks like the tide in the war between the Crazy Gang and the Playboy Club might just have turned in the direction of Rose and his compatriots.

So glad to have Lutte Internationale back. Can't wait to see your first show.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, January 3rd The Gold Exchange (Shane Douglas & Todd Morton) vs. The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) The Wild Bulls won when Ed Gantner pinned Todd Morton after a big running legdrop Vic Steamboat vs. Chris Candido Vic Steamboat had his first PCW singles match with the arrogant young Candido. The result was a tight contest that Steamboat won with a flying cross body press. Biff Wellington vs. Brian Adams Wellington put up a good fight against Gary Hart's towering bodyguard, but in the end he was overpowered with a spinning backbreaker Ron Simmons vs. Gary Young Ron Simmons won with a flying shoulder tackle Leo Burke vs. Dan Severn An intense technical showdown where Severn was able to pin Burke with an Oklahoma Roll 2/3 Falls Match : British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation 1st Fall : The Harts ambushed British Steel from the jump and hit the Hart Attack to get the first pinfall 2nd Fall : British Steel battled back and evened the score when Brookside countered a clothesline by Bret Hart with a crucifix and get the one two three 3rd Fall : Bret Hart snuck in a blind tag to the Anvil and Neidhart blindsided Regal with a running forearm to win the match California Title Match : Al Perez © vs. Tracy Smothers Smothers tried to steal the win with a rollup assisted by grabbing Perez's trunks, but Perez was able to reverse it and keep Smothers' shoulders to the mat for the three count.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on Pacific Super Cards, January 2nd The Snowbirds (Brian Pillman, Owen Hart & Biff Wellington) vs. Mando, Chavo & Hector Guerrero Initially, the Guerreros didn't seem to be taking the young Snowbirds seriously, shown in their dismissive manner in their initial exchanges with the team. Big mistake, as the men out of Calgary were set to make their mark in PCW and swiftly got the better of the Guerreros with their speed and athleticism. The brothers tried to regain control of the match with dirty tactics, but to no avail. Owen Hart had been trained well by his father, wrestling legend Stu Hart, and was able to spot and counter almost every cheap shot the Guerreros sent their way. The end result was that both trios were still going at it when the bell rang, signaling a 15 minute time limit draw. Nick Busick & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Waylon Mercy & ?? ?? Bigelow and Busick came out to the sound of "Ramrod" by Bruce Springsteen and high fived the fans on the way to the ring, but were still somewhat reserved, being wary of what might come. They were deep in conversation , clearly concerned just who Mercy's mystery partner might be, but even they couldn't have been prepared for just who came out to the ring … Stan "The Lariat" Hansen!!! The Mad Man From Borger came charging out with Mercy and they immediately threw down with the two members of the Three Man Army. Busick and Bigelow were battle hardened by their recent feuds and were certainly no pushovers, but Hansen was extremely difficult to corral. The Army put in a valiant effort, but Hansen proved too much to handle, and when he flattened Busick with a mighty lariat, it was all over. Mercy may have lost his old allies, but he has gained a dangerous new one in the crazy Texan. Badd Company vs. The Hollywood Knights (Gary Young & Dan Severn) For a brand new pairing, the Hollywood Knights certainly seem to be gelling quickly, giving a fierce challenge to the more experienced Badd Company. Severn was particularly impressive, tossing Tanaka around like a ragdoll with some devastating suplexes and Judo throws. Badd Company did ultimately prevail when Diamond caught Young out of the corner with a Sunset Flip, but the Hollywood Knights certainly made their mark. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio, Norman Smiley & Larry Cameron) vs. The Midnight Express & Big Bubba Rogers It was no surprise that Jim Cornette and his men were all confidence as they came out, laughing and oblivious to the jeers of the crowd. What was surprising was the entrance of the Thundercats, with Cameron clearly trailing slowly behind his two partners. While Scorpio and Smiley were focused on the match ahead, Cameron seemed bored and disinterested as he lackadaisically made his way to the ring. Smiley and Scorpio did their best to hold up their end , but Cameron was entirely disinclined to give his partners any support whatsoever. This reached a climax when a battered Scorpio reached out to him for the tag, and Cameron looked at him, shrugged … and jumped off the ring apron, walking back to the locker room! Having been abandoned by their most powerful member, it didn't take long for the Thundercats to fall apart. Once Rogers nailed Scorpio with the Bubba Slam, it was all academic and the ref called the match for the Midnight Express. A sad outcome for the popular Thundercats. Mike Rotunda & Barry Windham vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) The newly resurgent Brigade took on one of the toughest teams in PCW in a hard hitting battle where Windham was finally able to put down Steiner with a running Bulldog Headlock. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Cabin Fever (Grizzly Boone & Manny Fernandez) vs. Buddy Rose & Jim Duggan Another crazy match that ended in DQ when Boone hit an Avalanche on the ref. After the match, Cabin Fever tried to gang up on Rose, but Duggan came in swinging his 2x4 and ran them off. Eddie Gilbert & ?? ?? & ?? ?? vs. Chris Adams & The Hart Foundation The champion's first partner was no big surprise to those who watched the New Years Day special : Vic Steamboat. Gilbert then announced his second partner, the man he trusted to watch both his back and that of his new friend … his younger brother, Doug Gilbert! The new trio then too the fight to Gary Hart's men. The new members of the team made a strong impression in the match, showing the trademark Steamboat skill and Gilbert toughness. But it would be the Heavyweight Champion who would get the pin when he countered an attempted running tackle from Jim Neidhart into a Hot Shot. For a moment, Missy Hyatt's men were triumphant. But then, the arena lights went out. When they went back on, a black clad figure was at ringside, holding onto a clearly terrified Missy. It was the Great Muta! He grabbed her by the back of the head, them sprayed her face with the Green Mist! While Steamboat and the Gilbert Brothers rushed over to attend to their hysterical manager, Gary Hart's men scuttled away, cackling as they did so. Eddie Gilbert and his partners may have won the match, but they were now facing a new and even more dangerous threat.

Yup, she should be free for you to use.

Tiny spelling correction, the future Bull Pain was wrestling at this time under the name Rick Gantner, not Ganter.
-
It started out with me asking if he would be interested in trading his first round draft pick , and it kind of ballooned from there. I joked that 1986 PCW could well boil down to Buddy Rose vs. The Entire Former NWA Roster.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase New Years Day Special from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver, on ESPN / TSN, January 1st The Snowbirds (Owen Hart, Brian Pillman & Biff Wellington) vs. Darnell Hamilton, Caleb Reynolds & Peter Baggenstos The New Years Day special kicks off with the first of several debuts, and few incoming wrestlers have generated as much buzz as this exciting trio of young wrestlers out of Canada. Wellington showed great technical expertise as he dominated Hamilton on mat before executing a series of quick suplexes. Pillman, a handsome former football player originally from Cincinnati, got a lot of appreciative looks from the ladies in the audience but impressed even more with his deft high flying moves, including a springboard dropkick on Baggenstos. But it was Owen Hart, youngest son of the legendary Hart Family of Calgary, who impressed the most. He dazzled the fans both on the mat and in the air, taking Reynolds down for the count with a lightning quick reverse flying body press. These young superstars have certainly started off 1986 for PCW with a bang. Paul Diamond vs. Chris Adams While Diamond was joined by both his manager, Missy Hyatt, and his Badd Company partner Pat Tanaka. Adams, however, was accompanied not just by his manager, Gary Hart, but by a tall, powerful man with long dark hair and a beard, wearing a black Karate gi. Hart got on the ring and declared that he was sick and tired of wrestlers thinking they could lay their hands on him, a manager, and he should charge them all with felony assault. Instead, he has hired a bodyguard to watch his back : the American Ninja, Brian Adams! The presence of Adams may have intimidated most people, but it certainly didn't stop Missy from letting loose with a stream of verbal insults and invective, which Hart was more than ready to respond with in kind. Eventually, the American Ninja walked over towards her side of the ring, looming menacingly , which did quiet Missy down somewhat. Regardless, Chris Adams and Paul Diamond had an extremely tight bout where both had the advantage at different times. The end came when Diamond went for a sunset flip, but Adams blocked it by getting a hold of the ropes, then maintaining his grip on the ropes to get a leveraged pinfall. A dirty win, but a win none the less, and one that shows Adams determination to challenge for the Pacific Heavyweight Title, held by Missy's man Eddie Gilbert. Chris Candido vs. Paul Wachter The next debut tonight was from Candido, a very young and fit man from the East Coast. Candido was the grandson of retired WWF wrestler "Popeye" Richards and had a sour disposition that seemed to take offense at pretty much everything his opponent, the ref and the fans did. Despite his poor behaviour, Candido had considerable wrestling skills, making short work of Wachter before finishing him off with a top rope flying legdrop. Candido might just have a great career ahead of him in PCW, if he can only learn to improve his attitude. The Brigade (Tom Zenk & ?? ??) vs. The Hollywood Knights (Gary Young & ?? ??) "Gorgeous" Gary Young has been through a lot in his short time in PCW. Having lost both of his Vice Squad teammates, he has decided to start anew with a brand new team, the Hollywood Knights. Coming out to "Hollywood Nights" by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band , his partner was Dan Severn, a rough and rugged Michigan native with a suave mustache and a no-nonsense disposition that contrasted sharply with Young's braggadocious manner. Severn brought with him a truly impressive set of credentials, including an extensive amateur and collegiate background and the prestige of having been an alternate for the 1984 American Olympic wrestling team. Next out was Zenk who was joined by all of his colleagues from the Brigade : Mike Rotunda, Barry Windham and Al Perez. Rotunda got on the microphone and said that he wanted to thank all of the fans for sticking with them through thick and thin. The Brigade had taken care of old business and were ready to move into 1986 with a clean slate. This is going to be the year that that the Brigade breaks out, and to that end, he was proud and happy to welcome a new member to the Brigade. A world class athlete, a former Florida Seminole and pro football player, 2 time All American and Orange Bowl star …. Ron Simmons! The crowd exploded in cheers as the powerfully built Simmons charged out to the ring, giving high fives to the fans all the way. When the match finally got going, both newcomers made their mark. Severn showed an easy confidence, getting the advantage over Zenk in several lockups and quick mastery when the action went to the mat. Simmons, on the other hand, showed truly explosive power, bowling over Young with devastating tackles and eventually scoring the victory when he caught him off the ropes with a crushing powerslam. While it was the Brigade that won the day, both teams had established considerable credibility. The Gold Exchange (Shane Douglas & Todd Morton) vs. Patrick Bolton & Alan Ball The next tag team to make their debut tonight were the Gold Exchange, two good looking young men in matching gold trunks. Morton is the brother of former PCW Tag Team champion Ricky Morton, while Douglas is a trainee of Dominic De Nucci out of Pittsburgh. While both men certainly had the attention of female fans, these were no shallow pretty boys. They showed incredible speed and coordination, dazzling the crowd with their rapid fire tags and combination moves. They were able to finish off Bolton with a move they called the Gold Rush, where Morton used a schoolboy trip to assist Douglas hitting a running cross body press. It looks like the tag team action in PCW is set to kick into a whole new level in 1986. Nick Busick vs. Waylon Mercy When he was allied with Jake Roberts and Nord the Barbarian, Mercy was a frequent thorn in the side of the Three Man Army. Now that Roberts and Nord have been run out of PCW, Waylon Mercy finds himself on the wrong side of the numbers for a change. Busick was joined at ringside by his colleague Bam Bam Bigelow, and while the Beast From The East never tried to interfere in the match, Mercy kept losing his focus and issuing warnings to Bigelow not to get involved. He should have paid closer attention to Busick, who was able to catch him with a Spinebuster Slam and get the three count. After the match, Mercy was enraged at what he perceived as unfair treatment, and got on the ringside mic to challenge Busick and Bigelow to face him and a partner the next night in Victoria, a challenge which they accepted. The Crazy Gang (Bob Orton, Manny Fernandez & Grizzly Boone) vs. Buddy Rose, Ed Wiskowski & ?? ?? For the last while, the Crazy Gang have been running roughshod over Pacific Coast Wrestling, taking titles and putting their competition out of action. In spite of suffering some considerable losses, Buddy Rose and his Playboy Club have refused to give up and have promised to get payback tonight with their mystery partner. Bob Orton and his crew came out confident, seemingly unconcerned by any threat that their unnamed opponent could pose to them. That all changed, though, when the arena PA started playing "Working Man" by Rush and Rose and Wiskowski came out with their partner … "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Duggan came out loaded for bear, laying out the members of the Crazy Gang with big lefts and rights and the pride of Glens Falls immediately had all of the fans behind him. What followed was not so much a match as a bar brawl with all 6 men being in the ring pretty much at all times. The ref eventually gave up all hope of trying to gain control and declared the match a no contest, but both sides kept slugging it out long afterwards until Commissioner Dutch Savage came out and threatened suspensions all round if both sides didn't return to their respective locker rooms, to which they begrudgingly complied. The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) vs. Jacob Derwin & Brendan Shapiro This evening has seen the debut of several new tag teams, but none of them have been quite like the Wild Bulls. The Gantner Brothers towered over their opposition, initially intimidating them and eventually terrorizing them. Ed Gantner was an extremely powerful and muscular individual who flattened Shapiro with lariats and devastating power moves. His older brother, Rick, was a raw boned slugger who battered Derwin with jarring haymakers before polishing him off with the Hangman's Drop (two handed suspended chokeslam). The other teams in the PCW tag division had best keep an eye out for this devastating new combo. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. ?? ?? Possibly the hottest topic of discussion among the Pacific Coast fans was the identity of the mystery team that would face the Thundercats. Scorpio and Smiley came out first, looking ready but still wary. Then the arena PA started playing "Chase" by Giorgio Moroder and their opponents revealed themselves … the Midnight Express! Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton, fresh off a very successful run in the NWA, came out accompanied by their manager, Jim Cornette, and his bodyguard, Big Bubba Rogers, and were looking incredibly smug and cocksure. If they thought that the Thundercats would be pushovers, they were sorely mistaken, as Smiley and Scorpio were more than ready to go toe to toe with Cornette's men. Condrey and Eaton kept going back to their repertoire of double teams and underhanded tactics to wear down the PCW favorites, but every time you thought the Thundercats were down for the count, they would come back with a flurry of offense and be back in the game. Jim Cornette tried to tip the balance in his team's favour by tossing in his trademark tennis racket, but it was intercepted by Scorpio, who started chasing Cornette around the ring. Unfortunately, this provided sufficient distraction that Big Bubba Rogers was able to sneak into the ring, out of the sight of the ref, and hit a crushing Bubba Slam on Smiley. Eaton swiftly went up top for the Alabama Jam and that was it. A heartbreaking loss for the Thundercats, but Scorpio immediately challenged the Express and Bubba to a 6 man tag match against all 3 members of the Thundercats, and the match was set for the next night in Victoria. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Bret Hart The evening culminated in this, the big main event. Gilbert and Hart are no strangers to each other, having faced each other in tag matches, but this would be the first time where the Pacific Heavyweight Title was on the line. Hart came out with his manager, Gary Hart, as well as Brian Adams, but no other members of Gary Hart International were in tow. The champion was accompanied by his manager, Missy Hyatt, and while the presence of the American Ninja may have discouraged her usual stream of invective towards Gary Hart (in stark contrast to her behaviour earlier in the evening) , her look of sheer hatred spoke volumes. While the Cold War went on between the managers, the war between the Champion and Challenger blazed hot. In contrast to his normally methodical approach, Bret Hart came straight out of the blocks the moment the bell rang. The two opponents were very evenly matched, matching each other hold for hold when they chose to engage in a technical matchup, but both were just as ready to throw down and go to fist city when they found themselves at a stalemate. The longer the match went on, the intensity of the Hit Man's attack increased, until he finally tried to put Gilbert away with a Piledriver. He couldn't quite get him up for it, and Gilbert was able to counter with a small package. This got a count of two, but when they returned to their feet, Gilbert was able to nail Hart with a forearm that staggered the challenger. He followed up with another forearm, and a third, before hitting his own Piledriver on the Hit Man. Gilbert did not go for the cover, but instead used the last of his strength to drag Hart to his feet and hit one more Pildriver and finally get the three count. A hard fought victory, and Missy Hyatt was jubilant as her exhausted man joined her at ringside. Frank Bonnema came over for a ringside post-match interview. Bonnema : An amazing win over Bret Hart, Eddie Gilbert, you must be very proud of yourself. Gilbert : (clearly exhausted) I am, Frank Bonnema. Bret Hart may work for that creep, Gary Hart, but he gave me one of the toughest fights of my life. I don't like the Hit Man, but now , I definitely respect him. That said, I'm looking to the future. 1986 is a new year, and I've got a lot of new challenges ahead of me. Chris Adams is gunning for my title, and I know he's not going to be a pushover. There's a lot of new talent in Pacific Coast Wrestling, and they are all going to want a shot at the champ. Well, the champ doesn't duck anyone, and no matter who the challenger is, I am going to be ready … The interview is interrupted by the arrival of a young man at ringside. Missy Hyatt looked annoyed, but Eddie Gilbert looked more curious than anything. Young Man : Mister Gilbert, I am so sorry to intrude. I am new to PCW and just getting started as a wrestler. My brother said I should look you up the first chance I got, because he said you might be able to help me find my way in Pacific Coast Wrestling. Missy Hyatt : Oh, sweetie, I know you mean well, but that's just not the way things are done. Eddie is the Pacific Heavyweight Champion. He really don't have time to help out new wrestlers, no matter how well intentioned they might be. I'm sorry, but it's just not possible. The young man is clearly disappointed and about to walk away, but Gilbert looks thoughtful and beckons him back. Gilbert : Hold on a second, kid. You said your brother said you should look me up. Who is your brother? Young Man : Ricky Steamboat. A gasp goes up from Missy Hyatt and the fans, but Eddie Gilbert simply nods. Gilbert : Of course. Ricky was always talking about his younger brother, Vic. He kept saying that you always wanted to be a pro wrestler, and how proud of you he was. Your bother is one of the best men I have ever known. I wouldn't be the Heavyweight Champ if he hadn't been a man of honour and made sure that I got the title shot that he promised me. I owe him a considerable debt. Now Missy is right, as champion I don't really have time to help you out. But there is a space in our organization, with Brutus having left. And I know someone who can help you out … one of the people I trust the most in the world. Are you with me, Vic? (offering his hand) Vic Steamboat : (shaking his hand) Thank you, Mister Gilbert , I won't let you down. The audience cheers as the show cuts to the closing credits.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Show from the UCSB Event Center, Santa Barbara, December 27th Tom Zenk vs. Lanny Poffo Zenk won with a top rope missile dropkick Pat Tanaka vs. Hector Guerrero Hector ducked under a roundhouse kick and countered with a low blow, then followed up with a Butterfly Suplex to get the win Paul Diamond vs. Chavo Guerrero Chavo whipped Diamond hard into the corner, but Diamond swiftly went up to the top rope and came back reverse bodypress to score the pinfall Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Cabin Fever (Grizzly Boone & Manny Fernandez) © vs. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) The Thundercats did their best to use their speed and agility to stay out of the clutches of the big moves on Cabin Fever. The match ended with all four men slugging it out on the outside, leading to a double countout finish. California Title Match : Al Perez © vs. Mando Guerrero A tightly contested title match that ended when Mando attempted a German Suplex, but Perez blocked it and countered with a Small Package to get the three count. Pacific Television Title Match : Bob Orton © vs. Leo Burke An intense fight between two of the toughest men in PCW. Orton battled back and was ultimately able to nail Burke with a lariat to successfully defend his title.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, December 26th The Great Kabuki vs. Tracy Smothers Despite his history as a fan favorite in PCW, it didn't take long for Tracy Smothers to get under the skin of a lot of people. First, he ran his former partner, Steve Armstrong, out of the territory. Then, he did the same to the much loved Brutus Beefcake. Tonight, Beefcake's some time colleague The Great Kabuki sought revenge against Smothers. To give the devil his due, Smothers did a good job of winding Kabuki up until he couldn't think straight. Smothers kept working in cheap shots and dirty tactics that raised the ire of Kabuki, but did it so deftly that the ref saw none of it, and it was Kabuki who took the blame when he tried to retaliate. Eventually, Kabuki had enough and let loose with the green mist, only for Smothers to duck out of the way and it was the ref who took the full brunt of it. Once he had recovered, the ref called for the DQ, which so enraged Kabuki that he nailed the ref with a thrust kick and followed it up with a piledriver. Once PCW security swarmed the ring and dragged off Kabuki, Commissioner Dutch Savage got on the arena PA and declared that Kabuki was now indefinitely suspended, effective immediately. While the crowd was shocked by this announcement, Smothers clearly found it quite hilarious, and was laughing hysterically as he left the ring. Nick Busick & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. The Pacific Warlords (Jimmy Snuka & Don Muraco) Several months ago, Bigelow was put out of action following a dastardly ambush by the Pacific Warlords. Since his comeback, he and Nick Busick has made considerable strides as a team but this would be his first proper chance to get revenge on Snuka and Muraco. The Warlords were certainly no pushovers, and gave the Army an hellacious fight. But Busick and Bigelow were at the top of their game, working like a well oiled machine. In the end, Busick hit the Spinebuster Slam on Snuka, then tagged out to Bigelow, who came off the top with the nuclear splash, giving the Army their most impressive win yet. Chris Adams vs. Steven Regal Once again, Adams would be facing one of the members of British Steel, and Regal made sure to have his partner, Robbie Brookside, in his corner to make sure Gary Hart didn't try any funny stuff. Despite all of this, Hart still kept trying to interfere in the match, at one point trying to toss in a set of brass knuckles to Adams. He was stopped by Brookside, who grabbed his wrist in one hand and Hart's collar in the other and started to shake down the horrified manager. The Hart Foundation rushed out to bail out their manager, and when Regal went to his partner's side to even things up, he ended up being counted out of the ring. As he left the ring with his men, Hart was apoplectic that someone had dared lay their hands on him. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : Chavo & Hector Guerrero © vs. Badd Company These two teams have had some classic matches for the Golden State Tag Titles, and while Badd Company had not yet pulled out the victory, it seemed like they were getting steadily closer to winning the gold. This match was another classic, where the Guerreros did everything they could to hold back Tanaka and Diamond and the challengers pulling out all the stops. It seemed like they finally pulled it off when Tanaka nailed Chavo with a cartwheel kick that sent him to the mat. But before Tanaka could make the cover, the bell rang, signaling a 20 minute time limit draw. Badd Company may have been disappointed by the result, but they had certainly proved themselves to the champs and the fans, and are clearly set for big things in 1986. Loser Leaves Town Match : The Brigade (Mike Rotunda, Barry Windham, & Al Perez) vs. The Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Jack Roberts) This is it. The final showdown. Over a year ago, the Freebirds made their PCW debut with a brutal sneak attack on the members of the Brigade. Since then, the men from Badstreet have run rampage on PCW, including a lengthy reign by Terry Gordy as Pacific Heavyweight champ, while the fortunes of the Brigade took a bit of a tumble. But lately, the Brigade have had a resurgence, getting revenge on several people who had crossed them, and saw the Freebirds as the last bit of old business to settle before moving on to 1986. They were so determined to settle things for good with the Freebirds, they made a huge gamble, putting their own PCW careers on the line for the chance to get their ultimate revenge. Well, the Freebirds are at their most dangerous when they are cornered, and what followed was a titanic battle for the ages, with a lot of near falls that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Towards the end, it seemed like it might be all for naught, as Hayes looked set to finish Rotunda off with a running bulldog headlock. But Windham, who was slugging it out with Gordy, broke loose and nailed Hayes with a lariat. Rotunda hoisted Hayes across his shoulders and, while Windham and Perez held back Gordy and Roberts, executed a Samoan Drop to score the pinfall. The Brigade had pulled off the seemingly impossible feat of running off the Freebirds to cap off an epic year for them. It looks like, in 1986, the Brigade truly will break out. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Grizzly Boone In his brief time as champion, Gilbert has had to defend his title against several much bigger opponents. Few of them, however, could be said to be as scary as Grizzly Boone, who has taken several tough wrestlers out of action since his arrival in PCW. While Gilbert was not intimidated , he seemed at a loss to figure out just what to do against the huge mountain man. He tried to stick and move against Boone, but nothing he did seemed to make a dent in the Grizzly. When Boone was able to get his hands on Gilbert, he certainly made him pay the price with some devastating slams and drops. It is a credit to the resilience of Gilbert that he was still able to kick out, but Boone was able to make him pay a heavy toll. Gilbert was able to eventually take advantage of Boone's frustration at his inability to put him away, drawing him into making more risky moves and then rolling out of the way, causing the challenger to crash hard into the match. Eventually, the action spilled to the outside, where Boone had Gilbert up against the corner post for an avalanche, but Gilbert dove out of the way, and Boone went chest first into the corner. Gilbert then started peppering the staggered Boone with lefts and rights before coming off the ring apron with a forearm that put him down to the ground. Gilbert was able to make it back into the ring before the count of ten, getting the win by countout. A narrow victory, but Gilbert has withstood his sternest test yet.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, December 25th Loser Leaves Town Match : Brutus Beefcake vs. Tracy Smothers After Smothers interfered in his match last week, Beefcake declared that PCW wasn't big enough for the two of them, and demanded a Loser Leaves Town match to settle the matter. Word has it that Missy Hyatt was not pleased at his rash action, but accompanied him to the ring and loudly gave her support during the match. For a while, Smothers seemed to regret what he stirred up, as Beefcake came at him with a lot of aggression. He did get in a few flurries of offense, but for the most part, Smothers was backpedaling from the enraged Beefcake. Ultimately, Beefcake had Smothers trapped in the corner and was raining down punches on him, until the ref forced a separation. While the ref provided the distraction, Smothers stealthily removed the padding from the top turnbuckle. When Beefcake came charging back in with the Final Cut (running kneelift), Smothers dodged out of the way at the last second, and Beefcake went hard with his knee into the corner bolt. Beefcake was clearly in agony as Smothers rolled him up, grabbing a handful of tights for leverage as the ref made a three count. A sad end to a great run in PCW. Beefcake may have come in as the rambunctious younger brother of Hulk Hogan, but had gained the respect of the Pacific Coast audience. Missy Hyatt helped him to his feet and embraced him before he said his goodbyes and thanked the fans, who gave him a round of applause as a farewell. Larry Cameron vs. Mr. Hito Not too long ago, "Lethal" Larry Cameron had a series of matches with Mr. Hito where, after some initial setbacks, he truly came into his own. This time out, though, things seemed a lot different. There was a distinct edge of viciousness to Cameron as he took on the Japanese veteran. Where in his first matches, he was rash, tonight he was calculating. He tore through Hito like tissue paper, devastating him with a series of power moves before finishing him off with the Harlem Hammer. But Cameron still wasn't satisfied, and after the three count, he dragged Hito out of the ring, pulled up the ringside mats, and gave Hito a brutal piledriver on the concrete. Hito was taken out on a stretcher and Cameron seemed as satisfied with himself as the fans were shocked. First, Cameron is missing from the side of his fellow Thundercats, and now this. What on earth is happening with Larry Cameron? The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. Flamboyance (Ron Starr & Lanny Poffo) Speaking of the Thundercats, they have been doing alright for themselves in spite of their missing member. The had an exciting and fast paced match against Flamboyance and ultimately prevailed when Scorpio hit a top rope splash on Poffo. However, it has just recently been announced that the Thundercats would be facing a mystery team that would debut at the PCW New Years Day Special. What challenge faces the Thundercats in the New Year? Stay tuned to find out! Chris Adams vs. Robbie Brookside Adams hasn't exactly been making many friends outside of the members of Gary Hart International, but for some reason, Brookside seemed particularly angry with him. Brookside had the ringside support of his British Steel partner Steve Regal, who seemed equally upset with Adams. As the match went on, Adams' manager Gary Hart summoned the Hart Foundation for backup, and they tried to intimidate Regal. But Regal stood his ground and refused to back down , even in the face of superior numbers. Brookside maintained a focus on the match in front of him, blocking out the drama at ringside, but eventually was blindsided by a lightning quick clothesline from Chris Adams, followed by a Superkick for the win. After the match, Adams continued to argue with the members of British Steel, leading to a brawl when the Hart Foundation got involved. British Steel did their best, but were at a numbers disadvantage until Eddie Gilbert and Badd Company rushed out and Gary Hart's men scattered. Adams may be aiming for Gilbert's Pacific Heavyweight Title, but may well have to deal with the ire of his fellow countrymen sooner rather than later. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Cabin Fever (Grizzly Boone & Manny Fernandez) vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski The Playboy Club has lost a lot at the hands of Cabin Fever : the Pacific Tag Team Titles, Billy Jack Haynes, Doug Somers. But it seems like they have had enough, as they came out for this match ready to throw down. The champs were joined by their Crazy Gang leader Bob Orton, but that only seemed to make the Playboy Club double their efforts. "The Polish Prince" Ed Wiskowski in particular took on the terrifying Grizzly Boone, going toe to toe and refusing to knuckle under to the huge mountain man. It seemed like they just might pull it off when Rose had Fernandez set up for the Inside Out Backbreaker, so Bob Orton took matters into his own hands, rushing into the ring and clotheslining Rose from behind. As the ref called for the DQ, the Crazy Gang , errr, ganged up on Rose until "Easy" Ed charged in, swinging a chair to run them off. Rose then got on the mic and challenged the Crazy Gang to face them and a partner of his choosing at the New Years Day Special, which the Crazy Gang laughingly accepted. Rose has a reputation as one of the most cunning competitors in wrestling. What trick does he have up his sleeve this time?

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno , December 20th The Great Kabuki vs. Tracy Smothers Smothers won by DQ when he ducked a Thrust Kick and Kabuki hit the referee by mistake Bam Bam Bigelow & Nick Busick vs. Michael Hayes & Buddy Jack Roberts Busick pinned Roberts after hitting the Spinebuster Slam Leo Burke vs. Lanny Poffo After a very tightly contested technical matchup, Burke was ultimately able to put Poffo away with the Sleeper Hold British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation After coming so close to beating the Harts last week, British Steel were granted a rematch. The result was an incredibly exciting bout, with the Hart Foundation doing everything they could to put the young upstarts down and British Steel equally determined to get the win. It looked like they just might pull it off with Brookside hit a running cross body press on Neidhart, but the Anvil countered with a rollover and put his feet on the ropes to get the one two three. They may have fallen short this time, but I am sure there are big things on the horizon for the young English gentlemen The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) & Jerry Blackwell vs. Mando, Chavo & Hector Guerrero Strangely, the Thundercats were not teaming up with their regular partner, Larry Cameron. Regardless, the Mountain From Stone Mountain was a profoundly intimidating presence on their side, and the Guerreros did everything they could to avoid locking up with him. Eventually, their time ran out when Scorpio whipped the big Crusher into an Avalanche on Hector, and the oddly matched trio won the bout. California Title Match : Bob Orton © vs. Brutus Beefcake In this hard hitting match between the Cowboy and the Bay Area Brawler, Orton was able to defend his title after catching Beefcake with a lariat

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on Pacific Super Cards, December 19th Loser Leaves Town Match : Steve Armstrong vs. Tracy Smothers Armstrong went for a spin kick on Smothers, but Smothers dodged it and hit a low blow just out of sight of the referee. Smothers followed up with a Jawjacker for the three count to send his former partner out of PCW. Larry Cameron vs. Lanny Poffo Cameron hit the Harlem Hammer (running double axe handle to the back of the head and neck) for the win Texas Red & British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hollywood Vice Squad (Jimmy Del Ray, Randy Rose & Gary Young) All three members of the Vice Squad Did their best to take out the still injured Texas Red, double and triple teaming him to try to incapacitate him. But ultimately , the big Texan got to the point where he had had enough, and started tossing them around the ring , where British Steel were ready to pound on them. He then grabbed Randy Rose by the throat and hit a mighty Heart Punch, putting him down for good. As Ravishing Randy was being taken out on a stretcher, Texas Red got on the ringside microphone. He announced that, much as he had enjoyed his time in Pacific Coast Wrestling, it was time for him to move on and that he had accepted an offer to join another organization, with tonight being his last night in PCW. He then said that his time in PCW was the best time of his life, and that he would always be grateful to the PCW fans for supporting him and making him feel welcome. He raised the arms of both members of British Steel in victory and left the ring as the fans gave him a standing ovation. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Cabin Fever (Manny Fernandez & Grizzly Boone) © vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski The last two men standing from the Playboy Club were clearly determined to not be run out by the new champs, and it didn't take long for the match to break down in a brawl. Eventually all men were busted open and swinging chairs, and a no contest was declared. Loser Leaves Town Match : Tom Zenk & Al Perez vs. Jake Roberts & Nord The Barbarian Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham accompanied their Brigade team mates to the ring, clearly looking to ensure that their former partner Waylon Mercy didn't interfere in the match. Jake Roberts went to his usual dirty tactics, sneaking in every shot he could to Zenk's injured ribs. But Zenk gritted his teeth and gutted it out, working this to his advantage by drawing Roberts in so Perez could catch him behind and nail him with a suplex that exacerbated the Snake's own injuries. Roberts finally tossed Zenk outside for Mercy to deal with him, but while Rotunda and Windham swiftly intercepted Mercy, Zenk caught himself on the top rope and quickly ascended to the top turnbuckle. When Roberts turned around , Zenk caught him in a flying cross body press. One … two … THREE!!! The Brigade had gotten their revenge and Roberts and Nord were now gone from PCW. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Chris Adams This one was a wild one, with neither man holding back. Eventually, Gary Hart tried to tip the balance of the match in favour of his man by throwing in a set of brass knuckles, but they landed on the mat and Gilbert kicked them back out of the ring before going after Hart. Adams could be seen loading up the Superkick on the outside to blindside Gilbert, but Hot Stuff suddenly tossed Hart towards Adams, and the challenger had to pull back at the last second to avoid Superkicking his manager. Adams and Gilbert continued to slug it out at ringside until the bell rang, signaling a double count out. Hart looked like he was about to explode as he led his man back to the locker room.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Cow Palace , San Francisco , on ESPN / TSN, December 18th Brutus Beefcake vs. Mr. Hito The feud between Missy Hyatt and Gary Hart shows no signs of stopping, and this match certainly didn't do anything to slow it down. Both managers were hurling verbal abuse at each other throughout the match, while Beefcake and Hito battled it out in the ring. Ultimately, Beefcake trapped Hito in the Sleeper Hold and it looked like things were all over. But that was when things took a strange turn when Tracy Smothers came out, climbed the top rope and hit the Jawjacker on Beefcake, leading to the DQ. Smothers had betrayed both Beefcake and Steve Armstrong when he walked out on them at San Diego Battleground, and perhaps was looking to clean up loose ends. Regardless of his motivations, he was laughing as he skulked away from the ring, and Beefcake was swearing vengeance when he came to. Bam Bam Bigelow & Nick Busick vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) With the consolidation of the Three Man Army, Bigelow and Busick have reaffirmed their friendship and are clearly back on the same page. That clearly showed with them swiftly tagging in and out on a number of occasions and working some powerful combination moves on the Dog Pound. That said, Knobbs and Steiner were far from pushovers, having been iron forged from their recent lengthy feud with Badd Company, and gave as good as they got. At a few points, it looked like they might just get the best of the bigger team. But in the end, Busick caught Knobbs coming off the ropes and was able to put him down with the Spinebuster Slam. After the match, Busick and Bigelow high fived and celebrated their hard fought victory. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest have bounced back after some setbacks and now seem to be stronger than ever … the Brigade! The crowd cheers as the popular young superstars head to the ring. Mike Rotunda, Barry Windham, Al Perez, and Tom Zenk, his ribs taped up, are smiling and shaking hands with the fans before they join Frank Bonnema. Bonnema : Mike Rotunda, usually when I get to speak to you, the Brigade are in the middle of a crisis, but now, you are on quite the upswing. Rotunda : That's for sure, Frank Bonnema. Barry has joined the team, Al is the California champ, Tom is back, and we are done being anyone's whipping boys! We are heading into 1986 and that is the year that the Brigade breaks out! *the audience cheers* We are taking care of business and settling all our old scores. Last week, Barry drove Terry Taylor out of PCW, paying him back for betraying us. And tomorrow, we are going to do it again. A lot of our recent problems have been because of Jake Roberts. Well, we are going to take him and the Barbarian on in a Loser Leaves Town Match! *the crowd gasps* It's high risk, high reward, but it's worth it to be rid of the Snake. Al and I will make sure he is done … Tom Zenk : NO!!! *Rotunda looks at him in astonishment* I know you are trying to protect me, Mike, but I have got to be in this match. It was Jake Roberts that put me out of action, and I can't take the chance of having him go out without getting my shot at redemption. I have to be in that match. Rotunda : Tom, I know you want to get your shot at him, but you can't risk it. You're still hurt. Zenk : So is he. He's still banged up from what the Three Man Army did to him. This is my best shot at him, he will have nowhere to run and can't pull any of his normal tricks. Put me in, Coach! Al and I will get the job done. *Al Perez looks at him, nods, and stands beside him* Rotunda : Alright, Tommy, I see you are dead set on this. I know you're going to make us proud, and make the Snake wish he had never crossed the path of the Brigade! Jerry Blackwell vs. Ron Starr Crusher Blackwell has kept a low profile of late, but was clearly ready to go in this match with "Rotten" Ron Starr. While there was a considerable size difference between the two, the Bad To The Bone veteran was not intimidated by the Mountain From Stone Mountain, and Starr got in a fair number of hard shots against Blackwell. Starr worked Cat And Mouse tactics against Blackwell, doing his best to stay out of the grasp of the popular Crusher while making every shot count. In the end, though he got cocky, and got close enough for Blackwell to catch him in a powerslam for the three count. A well earned victory for the beloved Blackwell. The Great Kabuki vs. Chris Adams The tempers were running hot before between Gary Hart and Missy Hyatt, but this is where they boiled over. While their men battled it out in the ring, the two managers engaged in a shouting match that culminated in Hart getting right in Hyatt's face. Whatever it was he said to her, she clearly didn't like it as she hauled off and slapped Hart in the face. This enraged Hart, who grabbed Missy's hand when she went for a second slap and looked like he might do some serious harm to the Walking Riot. Kabuki tried to get over to help his manager, but Adams seized on the distraction by taking him down with a clothesline before finishing him off with the Superkick. But Missy did not have to wait long for rescue as Eddie Gilbert raced down to the ring and pulled Hart off her. He started shaking Hart violently until the rest of Gary Hart International came to bail out there manager, but by this time the rest of Missy Hyatt International had joined the fray, resulting in a pull apart brawl. Eventually, PCW security came out and sent both sides to their respective locker rooms, but Hart was both shaken up and livid as he headed back circled by his own men.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, December 13th Steve Armstrong vs. Tracy Smothers Smothers won with the Jawjacker The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) These two teams went at it like, well, cats and dogs. The Thundercats are former Golden State Tag Champs, with all of the skill and toughness it would take to hold those prestigious belts, but the Dog Pound gave them an hellacious battle. Smiley was just barely able to counter a power slam by Knobbs with an inside cradle for the one two three, but afterwards you could tell that the Cats had been in a fight for survival where they just barely made it out with a victory. Mando Guerrero vs. Lanny Poffo Guerrero made Poffo give up to the Gory Special British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation British Steel have been gaining fans in PCW with pretty much every match they have and had the crowd solidly on their side in this match with the much more experienced Harts. They certainly gave the Hart Foundation a run for their money with many close near falls and plentiful exciting action. The end finally came with Regal hitting a sunset flip on Hart, only for Neidhart to reverse it with a hard running forearm to the face to give the Hart Foundation the pinfall. A disappointing loss for the young English gentlemen, but one that still got them the admiration of the fans and begrudging nods of respect after the match from Hart and Neidhart. California Title Match : Al Perez © vs. Jimmy Snuka Snuka was coming off challenging for the Pacific Heavyweight title and proved to be a lot for Perez to try to handle. Perez was ultimately able to pull off a hard fought victory when he was able to execute the Ally-Copter on the Superfly. 2/3 Falls Golden State Tag Team Title Match : Chavo & Hector Guerrero © vs. Badd Company 1st Fall : Tanaka thrust kicked Chavo into a German Suplex by Diamond for the pinfall 2nd Fall : Hector pinned Diamond with the Gurerrero Clutch 3rd Fall : Chavo was finally able to hit the flying somersault senton on Tanaka to put an end to an epic match and a great night of tag team wrestling Winners and still champions : Chavo & Hector Guerrero

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, December 12th Nick Busick, Bam Bam Bigelow & Leo Burke vs. Jake Roberts, Waylon Mercy & Nord The Barbarian The trio of Busick, Bigelow and Burke, who have taken to calling themselves the Three Man Army, were dead set on vengeance in this match, and there wasn't much Jake Roberts and his Snakepit could do to stop them. Roberts once again tried to use Mercy and Nord as human shields, but it didn't work for him any better than it did last week. He even went back to his traditional tactics of sneaking around the ring to attempt a sneak attack, but was met with a brutal right cross from Burke for his troubles. Burke tossed him in the ring, where Busick whipped Roberts into the ropes and took him down with a jarring spinebuster slam. Usually that would mean the end of the match, but it was not enough for the Army, and Busick immediately tagged in Bam Bam Bigelow. The Beast From The East eagerly went up top and crushed the Snake with a mighty Nuclear Splash for the pinfall. Roberts had to be helped to his feet and assisted from the ring by Nord and Mercy. It wasn't that long ago that Roberts seemed to be ruling the roost in PCW, but his fortunes have taken an incredible tumble. British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. Jimmy Del Ray & Gary Young British Steel have been having their troubles of late with the Hollywood Vice Squad , with the Vice Squad continually making use of their extra man for liberal interference. That was the story for much of the first part of this match, with Randy Rose continually sticking his nose in from ringside. That drastically changed when the crowd let out a cheer, and a tall figure hobbled to ringside. It was Texas Red! Red had not been seen since losing the TV Title to Bob Orton, a loss in which the Hollywood Vice Squad played no small part, and was still noticeably limping as he made his way to the ring. But he had a steely determination in his eyes and he yanked Randy Rose down from ringside. Rose immediately panicked but that did him no good as, with considerable pain and effort, Texas Red chokeslammed him to the floor. With their trump card gone, the Vice Squad fell into disarray, and Brookside capitalized by trapping Del Ray in a crucifix that got the one two three. Texas Red is back, and the Hollywood Vice Squad had better hope their insurance is paid up. Brutus Beefcake & The Great Kabuki vs. Chris Adams & Mr. Hito Gary Hart snuck a set of brass knucks in to Adams, who used them to blindside Beefcake and score the dirty pinfall Loser Leaves Town Match : Barry Windham vs. Terry Taylor If Hart was looking to pull any more such shenanigans in this match, Mike Rotunda and Al Perez were out at ringside to make certain that didn't happen. Rotunda and Perez cheered on their Brigade comrade along with the rest of the fans. Taylor put up a game fight, but eventually Windham caught him flatfooted with a Western Lariat, then followed up with a running Bulldog for the victory. Taylor cemented his turn to the dark side about a year ago when he turned his back on the Brigade and abandoned them to be attacked by the Freebirds. They finally have their revenge and have sent him packing from PCW. The Playboy Club (Buddy Rose, Ed Wiskowski & Doug Somers) vs. The Crazy Gang (Bob Orton, Manny Fernandez & Grizzly Boone) Somers was clearly still in a lot of pain after what Grizzly Boone did to him last week, and it was like a red flag to a bull for the Crazy Gang. They mauled poor Somers throughout the match, and no matter what Rose and Wiskowski did to protect him, he still wound up taking a lot of punishment. Boone finally pinned him with a belly to belly suplex to seemingly put him out of his misery. But the Crazy Gang evidently had not had enough fun, tossing him outside for Boone to hit two big splashes on the floor for the Pretty Boy. Somers was taken away from the ring on a stretcher. At this rate, there won't be much left of the Playboy Club before too long. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Terry Gordy This would prove to be the toughest challenge so far in Gilbert's title run, facing off against a former champion. He once again tried stick and move tactics as he had with Muraco the week before, but Gordy wasn't about to let that happen, firing back with rapid fire punches that rocked the champion. Going for a different tack, Gilbert worked to slow down the match by taking Gordy down to the mat. He managed to do a fair amount of damage by doing so, but the big Freebird battled back and came close to pinning Gilbert on a few occasions. Gordy eventually went for a big clothesline, but Gilbert ducked it and caught Gordy on the rebound , nailing him with the Hot Shot. Gilbert got the three count and had scored his most impressive victory yet.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase Battleground Countdown Show from the Portland Sports Arena, on ESPN / TSN , December 11th Brutus Beefcake vs. Chris Adams The feud between Hyatt International and Gary Hart International rolls on with this match. This was added a bit of extra spice by Chris Adams, accompanied by both Gary Hart and Mr. Hito, stating beforehand that he was going to take down Beefcake and then move on to take the Pacific Heavyweight Title from Eddie Gilbert. Beefcake was not about to be somebody's stepping stone and went full throttle at Adams, but Adams was clearly banking on this, letting Beefcake's temper get the better of him and goading the big man into making a number of mistakes. Adams snuck in a lot of cheap shots through the match, keeping them just out of sight of the ref, but every time Beefcake tried to retaliate, he would be the one to get in trouble with the official. Eventually this prompted the Great Kabuki to come out and show his displeasure at this, which in turn led to Mr. Hito coming over to intercept him. As the two Japanese veterans chopped it out, this provided sufficient distraction for Adams to blindside Beefcake with the Superkick, getting a controversial win. Adams was laughing as he left the ring, but you can bet that Missy Hyatt and her men won't let this go unanswered. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentleman, my next guest has been the centre of a lot of speculation of late … Bam Bam Bigelow. The crowd does give some cheers and applause, but it is somewhat subdued as the Beast From The East head to the ring. For his part , Bigelow has somewhat of a hangdog expression as he joins Frank Bonnema. Bonnema : Bam Bam, you shocked a lot of people last week when you walked out on your partners, Leo Burke and Nick Busick. Bigelow : Well, you see, Mr. Bonnema, these tattoos on my scalp are more than just decoration. I can get pretty hot under the collar and I don't always think straight. I'm not proud of my temper, but sometimes it gets the better of me. Bonnema : So the fans want to know, are things over between you and Burke and Busick. Bigelow : Well, that's a pretty complicated situation. I don't know …. Bigelow is interrupted by "Rattlesnake Shake" by Fleetwood Mac playing over the arena PA. He looks confused and then wary as Jake "The Snake" Roberts , accompanied by Waylon Mercy and Nord The Barbarian, make their way to the ring. Frank Bonnema shrugs and hands over the microphone to Roberts before leaving the ring, not wanting any part of what is to follow. Roberts : Bam Bam, I heard everything you said and just had to answer. What I heard was a young man in need of guidance, and I am here to provide that very guidance. I think we can come to an agreement that could benefit both of us. The Brigade just brought in Barry Windham, and I am looking for someone to help even the sides. I think you are the right man for the job. For too long, you put your trust in the wrong man, but I think you see the light now. You know you can't trust Leo Burke. He pretended to be your friend, but when the Pacific Warlords put you out of action, where was he? He drops you like a bad habit and starts buddying up with Nick Busick. Where were those guys last week when you needed them? Nowhere! They left you to fend for yourself. You can't trust them, but deep down, you know you can trust me. I can help you be the wrestler you were meant to be, not the one these fans want you to be. All you have to do is shake my hand and it is all done. What do you say? Roberts holds out his hand to Bigelow, who stares at it cautiously but then nods his head and takes the offered handshake. Roberts smirks at this, but his look soon turns to one of alarm as the handshake turns into a grip of steel and Bigelow harshly pulls him closer and gets in his face. Bigelow : What do you think you are trying to do, man? Leo is my friend! We may argue some times, but he always has my back. Nobody was there for me when I was out of action than him! Sure, he's helped out Nick Busick … Nick's a good guy! I sure trust them more than I would ever trust a creep like you! Do you think I'm stupid? Do you think I don't watch these shows? DO YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU DID? (Cue an "Oh, crap!" look on Roberts' face) They didn't abandon me, that was all you! You were behind everything! And you think you are going to sleaze your way in here and pretend to be my friend and think I am going to fall for it? Well, I've got your answer right here, pal! Bigelow suddenly lets go of his hand, grabs him by both shoulders and starts laying in brutal headbutts to Roberts' face, busting him open. He got several headbutts in before Mercy and Nord were able to respond, but he gave them more headbutts for their troubles. They were eventually able to recover enough to try to gang up on him, but by then Leo Burke and Nick Busick rushed out and drove off the Snakepit. Bigelow emotionally hugged his two friend, all seemingly forgiven between them as the fans cheered. Jake Roberts has had his way in PCW for a long time, but now even he has to be scared of what he has provoked. Badd Company vs. Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts The Freebirds didn't seem to be taking Missy Hyatt's team seriously as the match started out, showing a dismissive attitude as they mocked Diamond and Tanaka. But Badd Company have been battle hardened by their recent intense feud with the Dog Pound, and weren't about to take any of the Freebirds' guff. Hayes found this out the hard way when he got into a shoving match with Diamond, only for Tanaka to take him down hard from behind with a vicious legsweep before diving out of the ring without being caught by the ref. Any time the Freebirds tried to double team Badd Company, they would fire back with a double team of their own, and the fans roared their approval every time they did. Hayes got the surprise of his life when Diamond caught him in a reverse flying body press, assisted by a schoolboy trip from Tanaka, and the ref counted to three. The crowd exploded as Badd Company got their most impressive win yet. Barry Windham vs. Joaquin Souberbielle Barry Windham made a spectacular debut last week in a match against the Snakepit, and the fans were certainly excited to seem him in action. He was accompanied by fellow Brigade members Mike Rotunda and Al Perez, and was all smiles and handshakes with the ringside fans before starting the match. The handsome young Texan easily dominated Souberielle, hitting all of his moves with ease and precision before finishing him off with a running Bulldog Headlock. But the approval of the fans turned to dumbfounded shock when it was announce that the next night, Windham would be facing Terry Taylor in a Loser Leaves Town Match. Could Windham's stay in PCW turn out to be done so soon after it started? British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation With British Steel's recent troubles with the Hollywood Vice Squad, it was no big surprise when Jimmy Del Ray, Randy Rose and Gary Young made their way to ringside and made their presence felt during this match. Regal and Brookside did their best to ignore them, and for a while held their own against the more experienced Harts, but eventually in was too much to overcome when Rose tripped Brookside coming off the ropes, setting him up to be bowled over by a running shoulder tackle from Neidhart that got the pinfall. After the match, British Steel got on the mic and demanded that they get a match with the Vice Squad the next night, which was immediately granted by PCW Commissioner Dutch Savage.
