Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, May 15th Tom Magee vs. Mr. Hito One of the youngest members of the Brigade certainly faced a tough challenge in the Japanese veteran, but Magee drew on his considerable athletic gifts to catch Hito with a quick thrust kick to the jaw and get the win. David Finlay vs. ?? ?? Finlay came out first , looking belligerent as ever and ready to throw down with whoever came through the curtain. Next were the members of British Steel, Steven Regal and Robbie Brookside , who stood well back of the ring and looked warily at the Belfast Bruiser. They finally announced who it was that Dave Taylor had brought in to face Finlay … "The British Magician" Steve Wright! Finlay was quite familiar with Wright, having faced him before in Europe, and charged straight at him. But Wright deftly sidestepped Finlay, laughing as he did so. Finlay glared at Wright and charged again, only for Wright to spin out of the way with a cartwheel. Wright played cat and mouse with Finlay, seeming quite amused at how enraged the Irishman got. But it was only a matter of time before Finlay caught up with him and landed some blistering punches. However, Wright proved just as adept when it came to exchanging blows, getting in several jarring shots before breaking away from Finlay. Wright kept one step ahead of Finlay, deflecting the biggest shots that the Ulsterman could deliver and deftly countering any attempted submission holds. Finlay finally had enough and brought in a chair, only to get it driven into his face by a dropkick from Wright. As the ref gave the match to Wright by DQ, Finlay looked like he might just want to continue the battle, but when he saw Regal and Brookside standing beside Wright, he though better of it, instead saying, "Next time!" before storming off. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) Black Gold gave Iron & Steel a run for their money, but in the end just could not overcome the power advantage as Atlas pinned Douglas following a Samoan Drop Keiichi Yamada, Hiroshi Hase, Dan Severn & Jeff Jarrett vs. The Hollywood Knights (Tracy Smothers, Jack Victory, Todd Morton & Chris Candido) Severn may be a self described Lone Wolf, but he worked well with his team and helped them get their victory when he whipped Morton into a Golden Arm Bomber by Hase Barry Windham vs. Stan Hansen Hansen has been the deciding factor in a number of Crazy Gang victories over the Brigade, leaving the younger team scrambling to figure out some way to counter act the huge Texan. Barry Windham seemed determined to not be intimidated, and impressed many by standing his ground with the Mad Man from Borger. He managed to keep out of the range of the Lariat and land some very big moves on Hansen. As the match wore on, the Crazy Gang got more desperate, and Percy Pringle yanked down the top rope, causing Windham to tumble out of the ring. He was not able to make it back in time, leading to a win for Hansen by countout. A disappointing result for the Brigade, who have to be wondering just what it will take to get a decisive victory over the Crazy Gang. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero By now, the Guerreros are familiar challengers for the Gantner Brothers but always dangerous. They showed just how much of a threat they could be when Hector blindsided Ed with a vicious clip from behind to the leg. The Guerreros continued to work over Ed's leg, and he was clearly in much pain throughout. Ed was able to rally and tag in his brother Rick, and the two managed to put down Hector with a big double shoulder tackle to defend their belts, but Ed was limping as they left the ring. Not a good omen for their upcoming title defense against the Midnight Express. Eddie Gilbert, Vic Steamboat & Badd Company vs. Buddy Rose, Ed Wiskowski & The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) As crazy and heated battle as you can imagine, with Rose eventually going after Missy Hyatt, which drew Gilbert out of the ring. As Gilbert and Rose brawled, Wiskowski ambushed Steamboat and hit the face first piledriver and score the victory for their team. Rose now has the momentum going into his title match at Seattle Showdown.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN , May 14th Scott Hall, Tom Magee & Brickhouse Brown vs. Bob Orton & The Vice Squad (Jimmy Del Ray & Randy Rose) Lately, the newest members of the Brigade have had a series of disappointing losses at the hands of the Crazy Gang. This could been seen in the dejected looks on the faces of Hall and Magee as they came to the ring , but Brickhouse was upbeat and encouraging to his teammates. Early on, the match seemed like more of the same, with the more experienced Crazy Gang running rings around the Brigade rookies. But the tide started to turn when Brickhouse ordered Hall to tag out. Hall was startled but agreed and Brickhouse started to take over his team's strategy, ordering quick tags in and out and making plays that capitalized on Magee's spectacular athleticism , Hall's explosive power and his own considerable speed and enthusiasm. Little by little, they started to dominate the match, shutting down a number of attempted double teams and hitting big moves. It looked like they just might take it when Hall trapped Rose in a crushing bearhug, but Del Ray went to dirty tactics by bringing in Percy Pringle's cane. The ref was distracted by escorting Brickhouse out of the ring, so Brickhouse grabbed him and forcibly spun him around, forcing him to see the interference by Del Ray. The ref then disqualified both teams, the Crazy Gang for using a foreign object and the Brigade for putting their hands on an official. Although the end result was still disappointing for the Brigade, they did seem to be considerably cheered by their improved performance against their hated rivals. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest have had a lot of trouble lately with the Belfast Bruiser, Fit Finlay … Dave Taylor and British Steel! The crowd cheer warmly, but then gasp as Taylor comes out on crutches, his leg bandaged from last week's attack by Dave Finlay. His young wards, Steven Regal and Robbie Brookside, help him enter the ring, but he is clearly in a lot of pain. Bonnema : Dave Taylor, you are clearly in rough shape after Fit Finlay attacked you with that chair. Have you got any word from the doctors on your prognosis? Taylor : Yes, Frank Bonnema, and fortunately it looks a lot worse than it is. There was no permanent or long term damage, but I still won't be able to get back in the ring for a few weeks, and need to limit what I do to avoid any setbacks. Unfortunately, I won't be of much use to my young friends here, and they seem dead set on running off and getting in over their heads. Brookside : Now Dave, we have talked about this. What that dirty dog did to you … we can't let it stand. We have to make him pay for it, otherwise we won't be able to respect ourselves as men. Taylor : MEN!!!! (He shouts so loudly that he startles both of British Steel and Frank Bonnema) You know I think the world of you, but you are both still kids compared to Finlay. He has been at this longer than you can imagine, trained by his own father, and you will never make it to be men if you don't stay out of his way. He is vicious, relentless, and won't stop until he sees you put down for good. Look at what he is capable of! (pointing at his own leg) I wish I could have done more for you, prepared you better. But he came at us so fast and out of nowhere, I didn't have any time and, I'm sorry lads, you just aren't ready for him. Regal : Well, Dave, we understand what you are seeing. But regardless of whether you feel we are ready for him, he is coming for us anyway. This is the situation we find ourselves in, and we are going to have to go on offense, otherwise he will just pick us off one by one. We are going to have to engage him, regardless of whether you approve or not, because he hasn't given us any choice. Taylor : (pauses to think , then looks very directly at Regal and Brookside) I can see there is no stopping you on this. That's the determination that first led me to take you under my wing, so I guess I can't complain about it now. So let me do something for you. I can't be around for the next while to watch your back, so I am going to bring in somebody else. An old friend, someone I can trust. You have to promise me that you will listen to him and do exactly what he tells you to with no backchat. Do you promise me that? Regal and Brookside agree and the crowd cheers as they embrace their teacher. Steve Blackman vs. Chris Adams Las week, Chris Adams showed in no uncertain terms that he was back and focused on taking the Pacific Television Title from Bam Bam Bigelow. His colleague The Great Muta may have seemingly vanished off the face of the earth, but the English Gentleman was very much present as he took on another member of the Five Man Army, Steve Blackman. The Walking Weapon certainly presented a tough challenge for Adams in what proved to be a tight martial arts duel, with Adams managing to avoid the Bicycle Kick and hit the Superkick to score the three count. Bigelow had best be on his guard and Adams means business. Barry Windham vs. Brian Adams Windham takes a break from his battles with the Crazy Gang to square off with the big American Ninja of Gary Hart International, Brian Adams. These two big stallions had quite the slug fest, and the ring rocked with every slam and throw. Adams made a huge move when he clotheslined Windham over the top rope, but showed his inexperience when he turned his back and failed to notice Windham land on the ring apron. By the time he had turned around, Windham had climbed to the top turnbuckle and leveled Adams with a flying clothesline. That turned out to be enough to get Windham the pinfall and the victory. Hopefully, Windham can use this to build some momentum for his ongoing war with Percy Pringle's men. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring. Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest will soon be riding their victory at the Vegas Vengeance Super Bowl Of Tag Team Wrestling all the way to a Pacific Tag Team Title shot against the Wild Bulls at Seattle Showdown … Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express! The fans rain down boos upon Cornette and his men, and as usual , Cornette is clearly loving every bit of it. Big Bubba Rogers is at his usual place beside Cornette, making sure no one gets too close to the Louisville Lip. Bonnema : Well, Jim Cornette, you seem to be on top of the world these days. Cornette : Nearly there, Bonnema, nearly there! I told everyone that we would breeze through Vegas Vengeance and come out on top, and we did just that. We took on the best tag teams the Pacific Coast had to offer, and while that wasn't much, we still were the only ones standing at the end of the night. And now, at Seattle Showdown, we finally have our title shot, and once we take down the Bovine Brothers, there will be nobody left to stand in our way! Bonnema : Now hold on just a second, Jim Cornette. Leo Burke has certainly taken exception with the actions of your bodyguard, Big Bubba Rogers, and certainly is a force to be reckoned with? Cornette : Leo Burke? Don't talk to me about Leo Burke, Bonnema! The Canadian Caveman is just another punk with ideas above his station. He has stuck his nose into our business one too many times, and he needs to be taught a lesson. So at Seattle Showdown, we have signed a match for him. Leo Burke against the baddest man in the universe, Big Bubba Rogers … in a taped fist match! Lets see how well Leo the Cowardly Lion does in a head on with my main man. I don't think we will be seeing too much of him once it is all said and done with! Eddie Gilbert & Badd Company vs. Buddy Rose & The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) Buddy Rose is closing in on his title shot with Eddie Gilbert at Seattle Showdown and is on a considerable roll. A big part of his momentum has been provided by his crony, "The Polish Prince " Ed Wiskowski, who joined him at ringside. Gilbert was well aware of the capabilities of Easy Ed, and as a precaution, was joined at ringside not just by his manager, Missy Hyatt, but also by Vic Steamboat, who kept a watchful eye on the Prince. For the most part, Wiskowski stayed out of things, but when things eventually broke down to all 6 men in the ring, he saw he chance to strike, and jumped up on the ring apron. He was immediately countered by Steamboat, who tackled him and dragged him back to the floor. Rose was clearly counting on this interference, as he got blindsided by a dropkick by Gilbert that sent him flying out of the ring. Meanwhile, Paul Diamond his a reverse flying body press on Knobbs to give the win to their team. If Rose was counting on Wiskowski to do all of his heavy lifting for him, he had best formulate a new plan, as Eddie Gilbert is resourceful and has friends looking out for him.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, May 9th Jim Duggan vs. Brian Adams A slugfest between the Hacksaw and the American Ninja that ended when Duggan hit the Three Point Clothesline for the victory Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. The Hart Foundation This was a taut tag team battle with both teams on top of their game. Blackman looked like he might just be able to take Hart but failed to notice a blind tag and ran right into a scoop power slam by Neidhart that gave the win to the Hart Foundation. Brickhouse Brown vs. Mr. Hito Brickhouse was a game and enthusiastic competitor for the Japanese veteran and managed to pull out the win with a swinging neckbreaker. Nick Busick vs. Chris Candido Candido proved to be a real handful for the man from Powerhouse Hill, but Busick was able corral him and hit a Spinebuster Slam to score the pinfall Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda vs. Bob Orton & Stan Hansen The young men of the Brigade did everything they could to keep Orton in the ring as much as possible, working over the Ace and doing all they could to keep him from tagging out. But he was able to bring the Mad Man from Borger and Windham and Rotunda just couldn't hold him back, with Rotunda going down to a brutal lariat. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Too Cold Scorpio © vs. Todd Morton This was a fast paced and exciting match that kept the fans in rapt attention until Scorpio was able to land a top rope legdrop to defend his title. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. Badd Company These two fan favorite teams had a match for the ages which kept the crowd on the edge of their seats with many near falls. Both teams gave it everything they had but neither could keep the other down for long and it wound up going to a 30 minute time limit draw.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , May 8th Jeff Jarrett vs. Mando Guerrero These two had a technical showdown that wound up going to a 15 minute time limit draw. The Midnight Express vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) This match came about after the falling out between the Midnights and the Dog Pound after the latter's failed attempts to assist the Midnights against the Wild Bulls. The Midnight Express, on their way to a Pacific Tag Team Title match, found themselves with more than they could handle for much of the match, as the Dog Pound had a lot of aggression to take out on them. Jim Cornette tried to interfere on his team's behalf, but that just got Rick Steiner chasing him around the ring. Condrey and Eaton capitalized on this distraction by hitting a double DDT on Knobbs that got the win, to the immense displeasure of the Wild Dogs. Ron Simmons vs. Joel Deaton The Crazy Gang have gotten a fair number of victories in their feud with the Brigade, but one member of the Brigade they have just not been able to crack has been the former Florida Seminole Ron Simmons. To try to put him down for good, they have sent out the big Outlaw, and he certainly gave it his best effort. He brought a fair amount of power of his own to the table, and if he couldn't knock Simmons off his feet, he switched seamlessly to dirty tactics. But Simmons kept his cool and simply switched gears, blasting Deaton with a series of power moves that rocked the ring. Simmons was unstoppable as he nailed Deaton with the running spear that got the three count. Dan Severn vs. "Hollywood" Jack Victory Severn may be done with the Hollywood Knights but they sure aren't done with him, sending out their enforcer, The Big V, to make him pay for leaving their ranks. Victory certainly landed some heavy blows on Severn, but the Beast weathered out the storm and started to take over with some jarring takedowns before locking him in the Body Scissors Sleeper. The was the cue for the Suicide Blondes to charge the ring and break up the hold, leading to a DQ. The three continued to attack Severn until Jeff Jarrett came in with a chair to run them off. Jarrett and Severn stared at each other awkwardly for a bit afterwards, but before Severn could give him his usual brush off, Jarrett gave Severn a cheeky wave before leaving on his own, leaving a bemused Severn behind in the ring. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Chris Adams Ever since coming up short in his challenge for the Pacific Heavyweight Title, Chris Adams has been keeping a fairly low profile. But with his partner, the Great Muta, pretty much disappearing since Vegas Vengeance, the English Gentleman has taken it upon himself to show that he and Gary Hart International are still a force to be reckoned with. He certainly didn't choose an easy path, facing Bam Bam Bigelow, who has been dominant since winning the TV title. Bigelow had the early advantage in the match, bowling over Adams with his considerable size and power. But little by little, Adams started to chip away at the champ, peppering him with kicks and blows and luring him into wasting a lot of energy chasing him in the ring. Slowly but surely, Adams managed to nail Bigelow with clothelines and kneelifts before unleashing a Superkick that sent Bam Bam crashing out of the ring. Bigelow was unable to make the count back into the ring, giving Adams the win by Countout but not the title. It looks like the Beast From The East has a tough new challenger for his title. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) This was a rematch from Vegas Vengeance, and Atlas and Cameron doubled their efforts to take the belts from the Bulls. This was a knock down, drag out affair that saw the Wild Bulls face a ferocious challenge. This was an epic battle where it looked like it would finally go to the challenger when Atlas had Rick set up for the Full Nelson. But Rick managed to block it and grab Atlas by the throat. Giving him a determined look, Gantner somehow got Atlas up for the Hangman's Drop (two handed chokeslam) and held him down for the three count. The Bullpen went wild as their favorite team won the day. Eddie Gilbert & Vic Steamboat vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski Buddy Rose won the Vegas Vengeance Battle Royal to win a shot at Eddie Gilbert and the Heavyweight Title at Seattle Showdown. Tonight, he and The Polish Prince, "Easy" Ed Wiskowski, would face Gilbert and his ally, Vic Steamboat, and try to show that he was a legit contender. Gilbert and Steamboat were just as determined to nip this challenge right in the bud, and the two teams waged war with each other. Rose was able to blindside Steamboat with a low blow from behind, setting him up for a face first piledriver by Wiskowski which gave the match to the Playboy Club. Gilbert will certainly need to be wary of the Playboy's dirty tactics when they square off at Seattle Showdown.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, May 7th Scott Hall, Tom Magee & Brickhouse Brown vs. "Mean" Mike Miller & The Vice Squad (Jimmy Del Ray & Randy Rose) Ever since "Mean" Mike Miller and Percy Pringle reorganized the Crazy Gang, they have been a persistent thorn in the side of the Brigade. While the young men of the Brigade have managed to pull out some victories, the Crazy Gang have always made them pay dearly and every time it seems like the Brigade start to make some progress, the Crazy Gang would just kick them back in line. With the Vice Squad coming off a tough loss in the Vegas Vengeance tournament, the Brigade were looking to capitalize and regain their own momentum, with Hall in particular quite eager to lock up and prove himself. This eagerness proved to be a distraction, as the Crazy Gang played it cool and were able to draw the Brigade into numerous traps. The biggest one came when they were able to distract the ref at a vital moment so that he was unable to see Hall tag in, and while the ref was escorting him out of the ring over Hall's loud protest, Del Ray and Rose double teamed Magee with a double flapjack that left him lying for a running kneedrop from Miller that gave the win to the Crazy Gang. A heartbreaking loss for the Brigade, with Magee looking dejected and Hall looking like he was about to explode. Only Brickhouse seemed upbeat, consoling his partners and telling them that they would get them next time. Only time will tell if he is right. Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Candido In this battle of multi generational wrestlers, Jarrett was well aware throughout of the presence of the rest of the Hollywood Knights, who circled the ring like hungry sharks, but did his best to shut them out. In fact, he somehow managed to work them to his advantage, getting close enough to the ring ropes for them to try to reach in, but while the ref went over to chastise the Knights, Jarrett would then pepper Candido with hit and run shots. He continued to frustrate Candido until the Suicide Blonde thought he had Jarrett trapped in the corner, only for Jarrett to slide between his legs and catch him from behind with a roll up that got the one two three. The moment the ref's hand hit the mat for the third time, Jarrett released the hold and dove out of the ring, dashing back to the locker room just ahead of the clutches of the Hollywood Knights. A clever tactic, but who knows how long that will work until the Knights catch up with him. Dave Taylor vs. David Finlay In the short time he has been in Pacific Coast Wrestling, David Finlay's feud with Taylor and British Steel has been one of the most brutal in the history of the territory. The Belfast Bruiser has savagely attacked the Englishmen any chance he got, and British Steel have been at something of a loss with what to do. Regal and Brookside tried to accompany their mentor to the ring for this match, but Taylor immediately sent them back to the locker room, saying they weren't ready for the Fighting Irishman. Taylor and Finlay tore into each other like wild animals, with both of them getting busted open fairly quickly. Both men have considerable technical wrestling skill, but none of that was on display as it was all about inflicting as much blunt force trauma on each other as possible. Things got even uglier when Finlay had Taylor trapped in the corner and wrapped his legs around the corner post. He then grabbed a chair from ringside and savagely attacked Taylor's leg with it. The ref tried to grab it from him , but got a punch in the face for his efforts. This proved to be too much for Regal and Brookside, who rushed out to the ring to save their mentor. Finlay still wanted to go at it with them, and it took a full complement of PCW security to get him from the ring. Regal and Brookside helped their mentor from the ring, but it was clear that Taylor was hurt very badly . Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest will be facing Eddie Gilbert for the Pacific Heavyweight Title at Seattle Showdown … "Playboy" Buddy Rose! The crowd explodes in boos as Rose and his right hand man, "Polish Prince" Ed Wiskowski, head to the ring, but the Playboy Club pay it no mind, laughing jovially as they join Bonnema. Bonnema : Buddy Rose, to the surprise of many, you won the big Vegas Vengeance battle royal to get a shot at Eddie Gilbert and the Pacific Heavyweight Title. Rose : I don't know what is so surprising about it, Bonnema. I told everyone I was going to get that shot, and I got it. Nobody else has what it takes to with that title and hold it. Chris Adams fell short of the mark. The Great Muta? Nobody has seen hide nor hair of him since Vegas Vengeance. But the Playboy just keeps going on until he gets what he wants. Pacific Coast Wrestling has enjoyed a nice long vacation , but play time is over, and the Playboy is going to take what is rightfully his. Bonnema : You say it is rightfully yours, but a lot of people think that Barry Windham should have won that Battle Royal. Rose : Hey, I won that Battle Royal fair and square. If Windham thinks he should have won it, he should have kept his eyes open. I was the last man standing, and that is all that matters. I leave Windham and the rest of the Brigade for the Crazy Gang to deal with. My sights are set on the Heavyweight title, and Gilbert, you better be keeping that belt nicely polished, because it is coming back to its true owner. Leo Burke & Black Steel (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. Big Bubba Rogers & The Midnight Express Things have been brewing between Burke and Rogers for a while now, but they really came to a boil in this match. Bubba kept using his incredible size to bully Blackman and Douglas, but Burke kept coming in to the rescue of his young charges. They were so single minded in their duel with each other that it seemed like an after thought when the Midnights took the pinfall with a double team on Blackman, and they kept slugging it out after the ring. It took threats of fines to get them to go back to their separate locker rooms.

I knew when I decided to have this tournament that a) I was going to have all the matches end in (relatively) clean finishes (no foreign objects or outside interference), and b) the finals would be the Midnight Express against the Hart Foundations. I had my two all time favorite tag teams on my roster and they never faced each other in real life, so I was determined to write that match and give them a suitable stage for it.

PCW Vegas Vengeance, from the Showboat Arena in Las Vegas, May 1st 1986 20 Man Battle Royal to be #1 Contender to the Pacific Heavyweight Title : Stan Hansen, "Mean" Mike Miller, Joel Deaton, Barry Windham, Mike Rotunda, Scott Hall, Vic Steamboat, Brian Adams, Jim Duggan, Buddy Rose, Ed Wiskowski, Nick Busick , Dave Taylor, David Finlay, Hiroshi Hase, Dan Severn, Jeff Jarrett, Mr. Hito, Jack Victory, Mando Guerrero Just about everyone came to the ring looking incredibly focused, knowing that a victory would lead to a title opportunity at Seattle Showdown. Dave Taylor and David Finlay, on the other hand, could not wait to get to the ring and went at it right in the aisle. Nothing security did could separate them or get them into the ring as they tore into each other, so they were declared automatically eliminated from the match. Dan Severn got off to a quick start, showing that he was a force unto himself as he quickly tossed out Mr. Hito, Hiroshi Hase, Mando Guerrero and Jeff Jarrett. However, this had the effect of drawing a lot of attention, and Joel Deaton, Jack Victory, Scott Hall and Mike Rotunda all ganged up on him and managed to eliminate him. Buddy Rose, on the other hand, chose to attack only from blindside and then hide behind Ed Wiskowski whenever he drew fire. Brian Adams and Vic Steamboat naturally went at it, and after a titanic struggle, Steamboat was able to get Adams over the top rope, but this left him vulnerable to being flipped out by Buddy Rose. The Brigade and the Crazy Gang naturally went at each other, and while Scott Hall was able eliminate Joel Deaton, Stan Hansen and "Mean" Mike Miller double teamed to get him out of the ring. Nick Busick displayed his incredible strength as he tossed big "Hollywood" Jack Victory out of the ring, but again this left him vulnerable to being eliminated by Buddy Rose and Ed Wiskowski. This, however, managed to draw the attention of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who blasted his one time rivals with big lefts and rights. Even though Rose and Wiskowski managed to bust him open, nothing seemed able to stop his unrelenting fury. In the other side of the ring, Windham and Rotunda were able to toss Mike Miller from the match, but could not seem to be able to make a dent in Hansen, and the big Texan eliminated Rotunda with a short lariat like he was swatting a fly. Jim Duggan, blood dripping into his eyes, sent Wiskowski out of the ring with the three point clothesline. This meant he had Buddy Rose alone in the corner, and he rained brutal punches down on the Playboy. But when he took a moment to wipe the blood from his eyes, Rose grabbed him by the trunks and hoisted him out of the ring. At the far end of the ring, Stan Hansen had unloaded with some heavy blows on Barry Windham and was about to deliver the coup de grace with a mighty lariat. But Barry, at the very last second, pulled down the top rope and Hansen went flying out of the ring. However, he did not have long to savor his triumph. As he grabbed the rope to pull himself to his feet, Buddy Rose swiftly capitalized by dashing over and flipping him out of the ring. The crowd was agog as Buddy Rose, of all people , had won the match. The Playboy would be going on to Seattle Showdown to get a shot at the Heavyweight championship! Super Bowl of Tag Team Wrestling Tournament to be #1 Contender to the Pacific Tag Team Titles - First Round : Badd Company vs. The Vice Squad (Jimmy Del Ray & Randy Rose) After the end of last year, everyone had figured they had seen the last of the Vice Squad. But now the former Pacific Tag champs have reunited in the Crazy Gang and are back with a vengeance. Missy Hyatt's men certainly had their hands full, as Del Ray and Rose showed why they are a team one should never underestimate. Badd Company were just barely able to pull out the win when they caught Rose flush on the jaw with a double thrust kick, but the Vice Squad truly made them work hard for it. Just the first match of the tournament, and it was only going to get more intense from here. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. The Midnight Express Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express had done a lot of bragging going into the tournament , and now they would have to put up or shut up. Black Gold's mentor, Leo Burke, was at ringside and did a certain amount of chest bumping with Big Bubba Rogers before the match, but the ref ordered them to separate corners and warned them both that he would be keeping an eye on them. Despite this, the action for this match was kept in the ring as Black Gold gave it all they had against the Midnights, showcasing their considerable enthusiasm and energy. In the end, the more experienced Midnight Express just had too much of an edge, with Condrey luring Douglas into a DDT to score the pinfall. Nevertheless, the younger team had given a good accounting of themselves, and the crowd applauded their effort even though they would not go in the tournament. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) Every time these two teams meet, they seem determined to prove the cliché of "fighting like cats and dogs". The Wild Dogs were in full force in the crowd and loudly barking for every move their favorite team made. The Thundercats had a considerable number of fans of their own, and the former Golden State Tag champs seemed determined to prove that they were still contenders. The momentum of the match swung back and forth, with the Thundercats using their considerable speed and agility to keep just barely ahead of the power and ferocity of the Dog Pound. Scorpio finally put them away with a top rope sunset flip on Steiner and was just able to hold him down long enough for the three count. British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation Lately, both Regal and Brookside have suffered harsh beatings at the fists of the Belfast Bruiser David Finlay, and with their mentor Dave Taylor conspicuous by his absence from ringside, they were both frequently looking over their shoulders throughout the match for any sign of the Fighting Irishman. Despite this distraction, British Steel put in a valiant effort against the Harts, with the fans rooting for them all the way. Sadly, it wasn't quite enough, as Regal failed to spot Hart making a blind tag and got flattened with a crushing running tackle from Jim Neidhart which gave the win to the Hart Foundation. A tough loss, but the young Englishman still gave a great showing for themselves. California Title Match : "Mr. Hollywood" Tracy Smothers © vs. Keiichi Yamada Ever since his return to the Pacific Coast, Keiichi Yamada has been gunning for his former partner and the California Title. The self styled "Mr. Hollywood" has done everything he could to dodge Yamada but tonight he had no choice but to face him in the ring. Smothers stalled the match for all he could, but once it got underway, Yamada was relentless in going after the champ. Despite some of his tactics, Smothers is a tough man and managed to land some hard shots on the Japanese superstar, but Yamada kept going after him, with intense strikes and stretching him in painful holds. It looked like the California title would go to Yamada when he set up Smothers for the Brainbuster, but out of nowhere , Chris Candido dove into the ring and clipped his leg from behind. As the ref called for the DQ, Todd Morton and "Hollywood" Jack Victory quickly joined in the attack, and the Hollywood Knights ganged up on Yamada until Hiroshi Hase, Owen Hart and Brian Pillman rushed out and ran them off. A disappointing result for Yamada and the fans, but you can bet he is not done with this challenge. 2/3 Falls Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero The Snowbirds have had a well respected reign as Golden State Tag Team champs, taking on a variety of challengers and ducking no one. All along, the former champs, the Guerreros, have been gearing up for a rematch, looking to take back what they see is rightfully theirs. They were all business as they headed to the ring, but once the bell rang, they exploded at the Snowbirds. Hart and Pillman were clearly taken aback by this, and it was all they could do to get on some kind of footing to try to hold back the Brothers' attack. Nothing they did seemed to be able to get an advantage on the Guerreros, and Hector was able to catch Pillman in the Guerrero Clutch and get the one two three, putting them one fall up. The Snowbirds were disheartened, but with the fans cheering them on, they regrouped and gradually started to hit their stride. Pillman would pepper the Guerreros with dropkicks, but the moment they started to come back, he would tag in Owen. Hart started to wear them down with a series of suplexes, then brought in Pillman when they started to fight back. Chavo thought he would put a stop to their rally when he set Owen up for a German Suplex, but Owen blocked it and countered with a roll up that got the pinfall and evened up the match. With the match in the final stage, both teams kicked it up into an even higher gear, with faster exchanges and more of an edge into their shots. The fans were ecstatic at watching this classic match, and when Pillman came off the top rope and hit a flying clothesline on Hector, they roared their approval as he scored the pinfall to win the match. The Snowbirds had faced their sternest test yet, and come out on top. Super Bowl Of Tag Team Wrestling Semi-Finals Badd Company vs. The Midnight Express These two teams were well familiar with each other, having had many battles to date, and there was certainly no love lost between them or their managers, Missy Hyatt and Jim Cornette. As both teams had one match under their belts and were looking to go as far as the finals, they started off at a fairly measured pace. But it didn't take long for their tempers to flare out, and both teams started going for bigger and more vicious moves. The teams were very evenly matched and well scouted, and it looked like it could go either way. But ultimately, the Midnights proved more devious, luring Diamond into a Double Goozle that took the match and sent them into the finals. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Hart Foundation Both of these teams had tough opening round matches, and were determined to make that final push to get into the finals. The Thundercats had youth and enthusiasm on their side, and certainly gave the Harts a run for their money. But in the end, the experience of the Hart Foundation proved to be the deciding factor, knocking Smiley out of the ring with a double clothesline before hitting the Hart Attack on Smiley. The finals were now set. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. "Cowboy" Bob Orton A couple of months ago, Bigelow took the TV title from Orton, and after that, the Ace went into a bit of a decline. However not long after that, Orton joined up with the Crazy Gang and has been a whole new man since then. He was clearly looking to prove his worth by retaking the title, and went after the Beast From The East with a vengeance. Bam Bam certainly wasn't about to be pushed around, and fought back hard against the Cowboy, but this was certainly a different Orton from the one he faced when he took the title. No matter what Bam Bam threw at Orton, the Cowboy kept coming back for more. It looked like Orton might just pull it off when he attempted a waistlock suplex on Bigelow. But Bam Bam, showing incredible agility for a man his size, pivoted in mid air and landed on top of Orton. The ref made the three count and that was it. Bigelow was still the champ, but the Ace was clearly back and on track. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) While the Tag Team Tournament has been a big selling point of Vegas Vengeance, for many, this was the match to watch. Ever since their arrival in PCW, the Wild Bulls have been a force of nature, bowling over their competition and taking the Pacific Tag Titles. One team they have not been able to dominate, however, has been Iron & Steel, a team that, if anything, have proved to be just as big and scary as the Gantner Brothers. Atlas and Cameron got right down to brass tacks the moment they hit the ring and both teams slugged it out, without a care for technique or the rules. The Bullpen were as boisterous as ever, but even they had to be concerned for their favorite team when Atlas locked Rick in the Full Nelson. Luckily for the champs, he was close enough to the ropes to eventually grab them and force a break, but the challengers took an hellacious toll on the Wild Bulls. It looked like it was all over when Cameron had Ed lined up for the Harlem Hammer (running double axehandle smash to the back of the head and neck) , but Ed ducked it and caught Cameron coming off the ropes with a big boot to the chest. He then followed up with the Bull Hammer (running forearm smash to the face) on Cameron and Rick was able to intercept Atlas with a shoulder tackle while his partner got the winning pinfall. A hard fought victory, but the Bullpen went wild to see their team prevail. Super Bowl Of Tag Team Wrestling Finals : The Hart Foundation vs. The Midnight Express This is it. After a series of intense matches, it came down to this. Two of the top teams in Pacific Coast Wrestling fighting it out for the $200000 prize and the position as top contenders for the titles. But before they got down to it, they were in for a bit of a surprise. The ref had previously worked the California Title match and got on the mic and announced that he was determined that there would be no outside interference or shenanigans in this match. While he couldn't do anything about the managers being at ringside, he ordered the bodyguards, Brian Adams and Big Bubba Rogers, to go back to the locker room and stay there, under threat of fine and possible suspension. While Gary Hart and Jim Cornette both protested, the ref stood firm and let them know that he would be watching them like a hawk throughout the match. With that settled, the match started and, even with notice being served, both teams showed they were just as capable of being devious even if they had to work hard to keep it outside of the eyes of the ref. No matter what dirty trick one team used, the other would sneak in another move even dirtier. Although neither team could be described as fan favorites, the audience were fascinated as this wild game of human chess unfolded in the ring. Both managers were pacing at ringside throughout the match, Hart looking stern, Cornette looking hysterical, but it all came down to the four men in the ring. The match went long , with a plethora of heart stopping near falls and close calls. The Harts were incredibly close to taking it all when they had Condrey set up for the Hart Attack, but Eaton intercepted Hart by pulling down the top rope. Condrey then managed to tie up Neidhart in a small package. One … two … THREE!!! Cornette was jumping up and down at ringside, waving his tennis racquet as he celebrated his team's victory. The Midnight Express had gone all the way and won the Super Bowl of Tag Team Wrestling. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. The Great Muta Ever since he won the Pacific Heavyweight Title, Eddie Gilbert's most tenacious challenger has been the Pearl Of Japan. The feud started hot but exploded into an inferno when Muta sprayed Gilbert's manager Missy Hyatt in the face with the green mist. Ever since then, Gilbert has been seeking vengeance, and while he has managed to maintain his grip on his title, he has not yet managed a decisive victory over Muta. Neither man seemed looking to pace themselves, as they went at it fist and fire from the moment the opening bell rang. They laid into each other hard, with chops and kicks from Muta and punches and elbows from Gilbert. It wasn't long until both men were busted open, but the blood just seemed to spur them on, and they tore into each other with inhuman hatred as the match wore on. Even for a match this chaotic, it looked like all hell was about to break loose when Muta hit Gilbert with a spin kick that sent him flying into the referee. As Gilbert slowly got to his feet and tried to revive the ref , Muta could be seen gearing up to use the Green Mist, which would have spelled the game breaker in the match. But when Gilbert turned around, he shocked everyone present by throwing a massive fireball at Muta that caught the Japanese star square in the chest. Muta immediately ran out of the ring and out of the arena, with Gary Hart following. When the ref came to, he saw that Gilbert was the only one left in the ring, he counted to ten and gave the match to the champ by countout. Gilbert left the ring with the assistance of Missy Hyatt, but looked shaken at the extreme measures he had taken to keep his title.

Great show, Frank Dusek makes for a great authority figure. The Moondogs always mean chaos, they have to have the other teams more than a little concerned.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the ARCO Arena, Sacramento, April 19th Vic Steamboat vs. The Great Muta Young Steamboat did his best, but the viciousness of Muta was too much to overcome, and the Pearl Of The East took the match with the Moonsault Tom Magee vs. Mando Guerrero The veteran Guerrero provided a touch challenge for Magee, and it looked like the match could go either way. Ultimately, Megaman caught Mando coming off the ropes with a thrust kick and scored the victory. Leo Burke & Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. Big Bubba Rogers & The Midnight Express Tension was especially high in this match when Burke and Bubba threw down with each other, but it was Eaton who got the win with a top rope kneedrop on Douglas. Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda vs. "Mean" Mike Miller & Joel Deaton Another heated battle between the Brigade and the Crazy Gang, with Rotunda just barely able to hold Miller down following a Samoan Drop David Finlay vs. Hiroshi Hase Finlay wasn't facing any of the British wrestlers tonight but still went after Hase with a vengeance. Hase did what he could, but the raw fury of the Belfast Bruiser was too much to overcome, and Finlay pinned him after a belly to belly piledriver. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) The Midnight Express were barred from ringside for this match, so it was marginally less chaotic, but only by a slight degree as the Bullpen and the Wild Dogs continued to clash in the stands, much to the consternation of PCW security. After an intense and bloody battle, the Gantner Brothers flattened Knobbs with a double clothesline to successfully defend their titles. California Title Match : Tracy Smothers © vs. Jeff Jarrett "Mr. Hollywood" had the rest of the Hollywood Knights at ringside for his title defense. Jarrett gave Smothers quite a battle, but ended up going down to the Jawjacker. With Dan Severn not present tonight, the Knights felt free to attack Jarrett after the match, but Black Gold came to Jarrett's rescue. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Buddy Rose Gilbert won by DQ when the Great Muta charged in and attacked him. Rose bailed out of the ring and headed to the locker room while Gilbert and Muta went at it, ultimately only being separated by PCW security.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, April 18th British Steel (Steven Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Hart Foundation British Steel came in pretty banged up from recent attacks by Dave Finlay, but gave it their all against the Pink and Black Attack. But Neidhart and Hart were just too much on their game tonight and took the win with the Hart Attack on Brookside. Ron Simmons vs. Randy Rose Rose is a former Pacific Tag Team champ and headed into the Vegas Vengeance tournament with the Vice Squad, but struggle to put a dent in the powerful Simmons, who wound up crushing him with a Spear for the win. Dan Severn & Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) vs. Tracy Smothers & The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) Severn seemed to be a reluctant partner to Black Gold but wasn't about to pass up a shot at his former colleagues in the Hollywood Knights. Severn wound up proving to be the deciding factor in the match as he pinned Morton following a side suplex. Jeff Jarrett vs. Jack Victory The Hollywood Knights are clearly displeased with Jarrett after he interrupted their attacks on Dan Severn, and were all present for their newest member's match with the man from Hendersonville. Jeff gave quite a fight, but the distraction proved too much as the Big V pinned him with the Victory-Plex. "Hollywood" Jack and the rest of the Knights attacked Jarrett after the decision until Severn came in to run them off, but the Beast didn't stay around afterwards to accept any thanks from Jarrett. Nick Busick vs. Mando Guerrero The veteran Guerrero certainly proved to be a tough challenge for the big Powerhouse, but Busick was able to tough it out and get the win with a crushing Spinebuster Slam. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero The Guerreros were quite upset at being excluded from the Vegas Vengeance tag tournament, and clearly out to prove that they should have been included by regaining the Golden State Tag Titles. The result was an epic and exciting tag battle, which came down to a fast paced duel of rollups between Hector and Pillman , with Pillman reversing a cradle and coming out on top. After the match, it was announced that there would be a rematch at Vegas Vengeance that would be 2/3 falls. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. "Mean" Mike Miller The other members of the Five Man Army (Leo Burke, Nick Busick, Steve Blackman and Shane Douglas) were at ringside, both to root for Bigelow as watch his back against Percy Pringle or other members of the Crazy Gang. Even so, the well seasoned Miller was a ferocious challenger for Bigelow, doing a lot of damage both with big punches and dirty tactics. With his teammates cheering him on, the Beast From The East rallied and was able to put down Miller with a scoop powerslam.

Rhonda Singh shows she means business by taking the TV title in decisive fashion. Mad Maxine will be a real game changer for Medusa's appropriately named stable.

Blockbuster announcement about Vegas Vengeance : along with the Pacific Heavyweight Title match and the big Tag Team tournament, another special match has been announced ... a 20 man Battle Royal. The prize? A shot at the Pacific Heavyweight Title at Seattle Showdown!

One of my all time favorite movies is LA Confidential. In it, Kevin Spacey plays a character named Detective Jack Vincennes, and every time Danny DeVito meets him, he greets him by saying, "Hollywood Jack! The Big V!" When I picked up Jack Victory and decided to bring him into the Hollywood Knights, I just had to work that in.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards, April 17th Jeff Jarrett vs. Mr. Hito These two have had several matches, with Jarrett coming ever closer to defeating the Japanese veteran. He went all out in the match, with several near falls, but it looked like Hito would win again when he set up Jarrett for a backdrop suplex. But Jarrett flipped out of it and caught Hito with a schoolboy rollup. One … two … THREE!!! The crowd cheered as young Jarrett had scored his biggest victory yet. Nick Busick vs. Hector Guerrero The most flamboyant of the Guerrero Brothers gave the man from Powerhouse Hill a real run for his money, but Busick prevailed when the hit a huge Spinebuster Slam. Scott Hall & Tom Magee vs. Bob Orton & Stan Hansen Although the younger members of the Brigade gave it their heroic best, but when Stan Hansen came in, it was all over, with a lariat on Magee bringing a brutal end to the match. Dan Severn vs. Jack Victory Severn may be done with the Hollywood Knights, but they don't seem to be done with him, sending "Hollywood" Jack out to make sure he regrets his departure. The Beast was certainly not one to be intimidated, and in spite of Victory's considerable size and power, Severn was able to take him down on several occasions. He nearly got him in the body scissors sleeper, but at that point, Tracy Smothers and the Suicide Blondes came in to attack him, leading to a DQ. They continued the attack until Jeff Jarrett ran in with a chair to run them off. Jarrett helped Severn to his feet, but instead of thanking him, Severn simply stared at him before turning and leaving without saying anything. Mike Rotunda vs. Buddy Rose Rotunda had Rose on the ropes, but while Ed Wiskowski distracted the ref, Bob Orton and Stan Hansen entered the ring and nailed Rotunda with a double lariat. Rose then hit a running splash to score the ill gotten victory. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Too Cold Scorpio © vs. Brian Pillman A fast pace bout with plenty of high flying that ended with Scorpio hitting a top rope sunset flip to defend his belt. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) An out of control brawl, both in the ring and in the stands between each team's respective fans, that descended into super chaos when the Midnight Express and Big Bubba Rogers charged in and attacked both teams, leading to a no contest. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Ed Wiskowski Gilbert may be looking ahead to his Vegas Vengeance defense against the Great Muta, but to get there, he would have to make it through the challenge of the Polish Prince. Easy Ed really put the boots to Gilbert, unleashing his full power arsenal on the champ, but Hot Stuff gritted it out and kept firing back, finally coming off the top rope with a flying elbow smash to Gilbert's head to put him down for good.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, April 16th Jack Victory vs. Mark Wales Last week, Tracy Smothers dismissed Dan Severn from the Hollywood Knights and declared that he already had a replacement lined up, "The Big V". The next night, he showed who he was talking about, "Hollywood" Jack Victory. Victory had a brief run in PCW about a year ago, but came back with a vengeance, joining the Knights in an attack on Severn. Tonight, he showed he has not lost a step in his time away from the Pacific Coast, tossing Wales around like a rag doll before putting him away with the Victory-Plex (bridging back suplex). The departure of Severn is a considerable loss to the Knights, but "Hollywood" Jack seems to be eager to prove that he is more than capable of filling those shoes. Dave Taylor vs. David Finlay The hatred between these two competitors has clearly boiled over into a blood feud. Caught in the crossfire have been Taylor's young pupils in British Steel, Robbie Brookside and Steven Regal. Both of them were present for this match, their insistence overcoming Taylor's reluctance to have them at ringside, with Brookside looking apprehensive but Regal looking incredibly angry. Regal's anger was nothing compared to the raw fury that the two men in the ring unleashed on each other. Taylor and Finlay both have a wealth of technical knowledge and wrestling skill, and none of that was on display in this match. Instead , it was a pure brawl, with punches and kicks and blood and bruises. The turning point came when Finlay had the Taylor trapped in the corner and was raining down punches. Looking to do more damage, Finlay left the ring and grabbed a chair. Looking to protect his mentor, Regal came over and tried to stop Finlay, only for the Fighting Irishman to blast him in the head with the chair. The ref called for the DQ, and Brookside came over to intervene, getting a chair shot of his own for his troubles. By this point, Taylor had recovered and grabbed the chair from Finlay, hitting him in the ribs. This only briefly slowed up Finlay, and the pair continued going at it until they were forced apart by a full complement of PCW security. God only knows what it will take to put an end to this feud. Brickhouse Brown vs. Joel Deaton Speaking of blood feuds, the war between the Brigade and the Crazy Gang just keeps rolling on, with both sides getting victories here and there but no one team maintaining dominance for long. The newest member of the Brigade, Brickhouse Brown, would find himself tonight squaring off against the tough Outlaw Joel Deaton. Despite his relative youth, Brickhouse came in full of confidence and refused to be intimidated by Deaton or his manager, Percy Pringle. It wound up being a tightly contested match, with both men having the advantage at different points. The end came when Deaton whipped Brickhouse into the ropes for a big boot, only for Brickhouse to catch himself on the ropes and then come roaring back with a big clothesline. Quick as a cat, he swiftly ascended the top rope and came off with a missile dropkick that got the one two three. A bit of an upset win for Brickhouse, but one which greatly pleased both him and the fans. Shane Douglas vs. Bret Hart With the big Vegas Vengeance tag tournament coming up, members of Black Gold and the Hart Foundation find themselves in singles action against each other in a return match from last week. This was a very dynamic and tightly contested match, with Douglas clearly having learned from the previous match and coming very close to taking the match at several points. It still ended up coming down to the Excellence Of Execution, as Hart blocked an attempt at a belly to belly suplex and countering with a small package to score the pinfall. Nevertheless, Douglas had impressed many of those present, and Hart slapped palms with Douglas afterwards as a sign of respect. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest made waves in the PCW last week by leaving the Hollywood Knights … Dan Severn. The crowd greets Severn with a warm but reserved reaction. The fans certainly respect his ability and are glad he has left the ranks of the Hollywood Knights, but his prickly nature leave them uncertain of just how they feel about him. Bonnema : Dan Severn, you left the Hollywood Knights last week, but it didn't take long for them to find a replacement in "Hollywood" Jack Victory. Severn : I don't care who they've brought in. I don't need those goons cluttering up my matches and getting in my way. From here on in, I am only looking out for myself. Bonnema : Well, now that you are no longer in the Hollywood Knights, a lot of fans are wondering just what direction you are going to take. Care to fill us in on your future plans? Severn : You know, Frank Bonnema, I have been a wrestler long enough to know what usually happens next. A top flight competitor like myself leaves one group, pretty much everyone comes forward with offers. Well, I am going to save everyone a lot of time and effort. Gary Hart … Missy Hyatt … Jim Cornette … Leo Burke … Percy Pringle … The Brigade … if you are getting ready to make me an offer to join your group, you can just keep those offers to yourselves. I didn't need the Hollywood Knights, and I certainly don't need any of you. I am my own man and can take care of my own business. Dan Severn walks alone! Norman Smiley vs. Bobby Eaton The show wraps up with another singles rematch between two more competitors whose teams will be headed to Vegas Vengeance. Smiley certainly had his hands full , both with the challenge of Eaton and the antics of Jim Cornette, but gave a good accounting of himself. He was able to catch Eaton in a sleeper hold, but Eaton fought hard to try to get to the ropes and force a break. Whether or not he would have succeeded, we will never know, as at that point, out of nowhere, the Dog Pound of Brian Knobbs and Rick Steiner charged in and attacked Smiley, forcing both the break and a DQ in favor of Smiley. Cornette was clearly furious with them for their unwanted and unasked for "assistance", and started screaming at them. Knobbs and Steiner took exception at this and started to advance towards Cornette, leading to Dennis Condrey rushing out to back up his manager and his partner. The Dog Pound still might have thrown down with the Midnight Express, but the presence of Cornette's huge bodyguard Big Bubba Rogers made them think better of it, and instead they left the ring. It looks like the short lived alliance between the Midnight Express and the Dog Pound has come to a sudden end.

Pacific Coast Wrestling from the Tacoma Dome, Tacoma, April 12th Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Candido Candido's Suicide Blondes partner Todd Morton was skulking around the ringside area during this match, and while Jarett did his best, the distraction proved too much as Morton tripped him coming off the ropes and Candido was able to hit a piledriver for the win. After the match, Candido and Morton beat down Jarrett until Dan Severn entered the ring and they fled in terror. Jarrett tried to thank Severn, but the Beast simply turned his back and walked away. Ron Simmons vs. Joel Deaton The feud between the Brigade and the Crazy Gang continued with this battle of two warhorses. A bruising and hard hitting affair that ended when Simmons was finally able to take Deaton down with a running spear. The Midnight Express vs. Black Gold (Steve Blackman & Shane Douglas) Both teams will be in the big tag team tournament at Vegas Vengeance and were looking to show they deserved their place. Both teams impressed, but the Midnights took it when they hit a double goozle on Blackman. Nick Busick vs. Mr. Hito Hito proved to be a very tough opponent for Busick, but in the end the man from Powerhouse Hill prevailed when he caught Hito in a Spinebuster Slam. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Hart Foundation Another match between teams bound for the Vegas tag tournament. A fast paced and intense match that went in favour of the Harts after Bret pinned Scorpio following a top rope clothesline. Barry Windham vs. "Mean" Mike Miller Another match in the Brigade/Crazy Gang feud. Windham has clearly been getting sick of the Crazy Gang interfering in his matches, and was looking to unleash his frustration on the Gang's leader. The result was a bloody, knock-down, drag-out battle that finally ended with Windham blocking an over the shoulder neckbreaker and following up with a running bulldog that got him the victory. The two continued to slug it out after the match, with Ron Simmons and Joel Deaton getting involved, until the PCW officials ordered them to the back. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. The Vice Squad (Jimmy Del Ray & Randy Rose) The Vice Squad are former Pacific Tag champs and mounted a concerted campaign against the Gantners to regain their titles. They put forth a credible challenge, but then they whipped Ed into the ropes to try a double flapjack, he countered with a huge double clothesline that drove them to the mat. He tagged in his brother , who hit the Hangman's Drop (two handed chokeslam) on Rose to successfully defend their titles. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. The Great Muta Gilbert seemed to have all of Muta's tricks and traps spotted throughout the match, so Muta went for the nastiest shot he had, blasting Hot Stuff in the face with the Green Mist. While the ref called for the DQ, Muta and the Hart Foundation beat down Gilbert until the Thundercats rushed in and ran them off. (The other members of Hyatt International had the night off and weren't in the building, which is why they were unable to back up their leader.)

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, April 11th Jeff Jarrett vs. Mr. Hito The show kicked off with a technical showdown between the rookie Jarrett and the veteran Hito that went to a 15 minute time limit draw Tom Magee vs. Mando Guerrero Mando proved a tough customer for Magee to take on but in the end Magee was able to hit a thrust kick to get the three count Badd Company vs. The Midnight Express Another gripping tag team showdown where Condrey was able to catch Tanaka with a DDT to give the win to the Midnights Brickhouse Brown vs. Chavo Guerrero Brickhouse was very impressive in this outing but in the end, it was the cunning of Chavo that allowed him to catch Brickhouse in a German Suplex to score the victory Steven Regal vs. David Finlay A brutal bout with both men laying in some jarring blows until Finlay was able to put down regal with a belly to belly piledriver. Finlay tried to get in more damage on Regal after the match, but Dave Taylor pulled his young charge from the ring Scott Hall vs. Hector Guerrero Guerrero managed an effective cat and mouse campaign against Hall but got cocky and was caught coming off the ropes with a crushing powerslam which gave the win to the Gator Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) A fast paced and exciting match that went to the Snowbirds when Pillman hit the Air Pillman on Candido Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Ed Wiskowski Bigelow has taken on a variety of contenders in his time as TV champ but The Polish Prince proved to be one of the toughest. Easy Ed went all out to take the belt, and it seemed like perhaps Bigelow's time as champ was done. But the Beast From The East showed the fire and resilience that has made him a big favorite of the fans and powered out of an attempted face first piledriver, following up with a falling headbutt and finally a running splash to put an end to Wiskowski's challenge.
