  1. Decent match but Sabu did hit most of his spots cleanly. The post match is crazy as hell and looks really unique in this setting.
  2. Perfect lead in to War Games with another hate filled TV match that still left me wanting more and a decisive conclusion.
  3. Dusty doesn't have as much lisp here as usual and the person keeps saying he will be a bigger movie star than wrestler. Weird segment overall.
  4. They really produced this as a big time interview segment on location in Vegas but Flair looks defeated and it shows overall.
  5. Really fun showcase match for Vader with Armstrong getting just enough offense and taking some huge bumps. Nice little diamond in a rough that fits perfectly on a yearbook setting.
  6. Low key promo for New Jack standards but effective in getting across his viewpoint and not backing down from Morton.
  7. The match was really fun and the brawl was a really neat visual too with the cars flying by. Christopher looks back from his injury.
  8. Fun little TV match and nice to see Steamboat one last time. Was not crazy about reversing the decision this close to Fall Brawl.
  9. Hogan is low key here. Nothing makes me want to rehab a knee injury like going to the beach. This shit was awful and everyone is again going after Flair when nothing has been proven on the attack. Hogan buries Flair like crazy here.
  10. Good group promo with everyone getting in an effective soundbite.
  11. I hated the match. Gangsters have been talking shit for a month then have a straight up tag match with little intensity. New Jack riling up the crowd was nice and he goes all the way on the post match promo.
  12. Love Rich's Hooters shirt. They gave some big shots to the Moondog here. I enjoyed this and the crap camera work sort of added to the chaos.
  13. Good fed up heel promo and Landell's back was nasty.
  14. I loved this match. Maybe too long but it worked here as the crowd was crazy especially the audio level when Kobashi hit the powerbomb. This was also their last big singles match that I can recall so I didn't mind them emptying the kitchen sink. I can't really detract from this match onto the ramifications of later matches. As a stand alone match I thought this worked really well. Only nitpick would be that Doc covered Kobashi a little too quickly after the first backdrop driver. The 41 minutes didn't drag to me much at all. Great match.
  15. One thing I will say as I was not near as disappointed in August as both Exposer and Loss and I can attribute that to two matches. The Owen/Bret cage match, and Hokuto/Kong vs. Hotta/Kansai. The former is one of the biggest "line in the sand" matches in history I think, and the latter I stand by as maybe one of my favorite matches of all time and was a new discovery for me. Add to that the birth of ECW in the best moment from them to be featured and the best shoot style match I have ever seen and August was another great month in my book with only WCW faltering.
  16. Best Public Enemy segment yet as it was goofy but appropriate and shows how featured they were to do the honors of changing Eastern to Extreme.
  17. Yeah can someone give some back story on this because Corluzzo definitely looked to be in on at least Douglas throwing the title down. Historical segment and really feels like a big moment and the crowd chanting ECW at the end was awesome.
  18. Dreamer's back took a beating but I couldn't not get into this at all and the beating lasted forever. I can not get into the Sandman's character at all.
  19. Actually good filming job not making it totally ridiculous to see Lee's face and know who the real Taker is until he pins him. I still don't know what Ted's excuse is as he looked like an idiot clearly backing someone he knew was not the real Taker. Just an ill fated angle that they pulled the plug on mercifully after this.
  20. A match where you either except the escape stipulation or don't and resent the match as a whole because of it. I thought for what they were presented with they did the best match possible. The escapes were at least dramatic and paced well and they did show glimpses of a real brawl within the match. Could they have had another all time classic match with a hate filled cage match? Possibly, but this was a still a strong effort that is just below the real elite stuff from the year for me.
  21. I had forgotten how bad Stu looked here. The interviews by the members of the family was not good and it was odd to just see the Anvil sitting with them.
  22. I couldn't get into this match much. The lay out was defintely done well which usually doesn't bother me but I am just tired of Shawn as a manager by this point. He takes the same crazy bump we have seen him take three times before. Walter did ok in his role but for being one of the all time NFL leading rushers he probably shouldn't be getting outchased by Michaels for 15 minutes.
  23. Didn't see the turn coming as a kid and still think it was executed where. Vince does a great look of disgust and shock after the turn and I have always liked DIbiase stuffing money in people's mouths.
  24. Really weird to see WWF in the United Center. Nakano did a great job interacting with the crowd to get them invested and mixed in enough new spots to the viewing audience. Overall, probably the best WWF women's match in the 90's which admittedly is not saying much.
  25. This just seems dumb that they are punishing Flair for going after the leg when they didn't do anything extreme but are yet unable to keep a masked man from attacking Hogan with a pipe.
