  10. Went to an NXT house show in April that was amazing... it flew by, match after match, quick break. We were in and out right around two hours or so. A lot of fun. It stood out eve more since I had attended Mania a couple weeks before.
  11. Chad and I wrote a piece about this match and its potential as a SummerSlam 1991 main event. What do you guys think? Could it have worked? Other options? http://placetobenation.com/the-desert-storm-match-the-summerslam-main-event-we-never-saw/

  14. Yes and no. Sometimes, guys want to reply to the other guys comments and jump in and I am ok with that. In the past, if I am on a time crunch (early work day on Monday; dealing with family bullshit), I will let the guys know in advance that we need to keep it quick and clean and no bullshit. I haven't been on a time crunch lately so I have been letting them go on. Right now, guys like Kris and Johnny are far more passionate about WWE than I am. They should talk more about it and get their quips in. If I had a problem with any of the guys and their talking, I wouldn't invite them on the show. This sort of brings me to an issue brought up in the past about bullying Johnny or whatever. Johnny and I are friends. Not wrestling friends... just friends. if you have never called one of your good friends an asshole or dumb mother fucker or idiot, than you have a different relationship with your friends than I do. It isn't real to me. Fucking jerk.
  15. Since Andre would have been 70 today, I wrote up a piece looking at his 1991 comeback in the WWF and thought maybe it could spark some discussion about his career in general or even what could have happened if he was able to hold up a little longer. Either way, thanks for reading! http://placetobenation.com/andre-the-giants-lost-1991-comeback/
  16. That show wasn't on our feed so those guys must have pulled down their archives.
  17. Thanks! Took a long time to assemble, glad it is being enjoyed. And yes, it was one of his classics.
  18. Be sure to check out our brand new Place to Be Nation Index page! It is a full, one page archive of every article and podcast posted to PTBN since it launched on June 1, 2013. Enjoy and use it! http://placetobenation.com/place-to-be-nation-index/
  19. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott take a look at Backlash 2006! They discuss assholes on HGTV, the split of Chris Masters and Carlito, Ric Flair’s position in the company at this time, Trish Stratus’ nasty injury, the absurdity of May 19th, the debut of God, Triple H’s stale heel run, John Cena’s potential contenders and much more! 20. I used to feel the same way... and I still do with my shows... work hard to keep the Place to Be Podcast right under two hours generally and Dangerous Alliance right around two hours as well (with a timer!)... but then I listen to shows like Exile, WTBBP and Sheets and I don't want them to end. Even if it takes me a week to listen to the whole thing, there is so much to learn it is worth the investment IMO. I still think 90-120 minutes is the sweet spot but longer shows aren't auto deletes for me or anything... really depends on the show and/or hosts.
  21. I just watched the last four or five E&C Show yesterday and I thought it was a strong stretch of episodes. Bray reading the bed time story was funnier than I expected... "And she ate all the food like a little pig!" Him brushing Christian's face too.
  22. Yeah I overlooked that when reading results. It was still his first Mania singles match, so I will go with that. And yea, WCW is Parv & Chad territory. We may do one offs here and there but for now we trudge on!
  23. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott take a look at WrestleMania 22! They discuss Rob Van Dam’s big win, Bret Hart’s tumultuous weekend, Edge’s spot on the card, Mick Foley’s quest for a Mania classic, Mickie James’ huge night, Mark Henry’s Mania debut, Mr. McMahon going off the deep end, Randy Orton’s backstage issues, Rey Mysterio’s strange journey, John Cena’s pantheon potential at this point and much more!
