Years later, I can't remember when, Mick Foley said he regretted what he said in that segment. Pretty sure it took place in Sept. 2000 -

20 years ago today Hulk Hogan won the WCW title by beating Flair at Bash at the Beach -
Daniel Bryan will not be featured on the WM special on NBC. They will show the Rock/Hogan/Austin segment, Taker/Brock and Cena/Wyatt. Wonder if that was NBC's call or WWE's
-
so Ambrose appears on SD and yes gets beat down again. This is starting to look awfully familiar
-
it's baffling they are messing with the hottest program they have going. Maybe this is more trolling
-
maybe it's me but the heat for pretty much every program and angle (except for Swagger/Rusev, Ambrose/Rollins) has seemed to decrease since the crowds have realized that Bryan is out for the long term. I think everyone took for granted the heat he brought to the shows
-
I was only half watching the main. Jesus fuck this sucks. Pretty much have to give Ambrose the case now. Feel bad for Rolllins
-
Bo: "Bad Giant!" LOL this guy is great
-
I don't think the Steph/Bellas stuff is as over as they thought it would be. I agree with Jason Powell that Nikki is tough to feel sympathy for, especially if you watch Total Divas. I'm sure the heat will rev up when Brie returns and attacks Steph
-
this crowd has not reacted to anything since the Lana/Zeb stuff.
-
that Lana/Zeb segment was incredible. This the most heat a WWE midcard angle has drawn in ages. the pop for Sting was pretty huge. Maybe that will motivate Vince to get a deal done

so Vince Russo is trying to "make peace" with Jim Cornette on Twitter and Corny is no selling it like he only can -
anybody else ready to cringe when Flair comes back on Monday? I so want to be wrong but I think this is going to turn out to be an unmitigated disaster

I seem to recall Stephanie McMahon briefly having a monthly column that was a mix of kayfabe and shoot. One story was her getting flack from a teacher for wearing too much make up and too short of a skirt (which I believe was true and she has told before) Also one of her going to a party with a guy and Shane showing up and forcing her to come home. This was when she was a babyface being strung along by Shane and Vince. also, poor Alundra appeared more in the magazine than she did on WWF television. They had a story of her getting well from Bertha Faye breaking her nose. In reality she was getting a nose job and a new set of implants (as seen by the aforementioned cover) and of course there is the famous Bret/Bart Simpson cover which I kept for years

Meltz reporting that Bryan is not getting any better and has been written out of all future plans. He may also need shoulder surgery - Reigns push has been accelerated by the injury. It was supposed to be a slower burn -In a move that will certainly please pretty much all of us Renee Young is on the fast track to join the announce team on SD -talent is still unhappy over pay issues. Still no WM 30 payoffs

We've talked about PWI memories now lets remember the "official" publication of the World Wrestling Federation I had a subscription from around 1988 until 2004 or so( yes until I was around 25). Loved this magazine as a kid and would read it from cover to cover. oddly enough I think I enjoyed it the most during the horrific new generation years with stuff like "advice for the lovelorn with Shawn Michaels and Alundra Blayze, Scoop Sullivan, letters to the editor, the insider and all the video game stuff. For awhile our local cable wasn't offering WWF PPVs and I would go over all the results in the magazine.and lock them to memory including who pinned who they would release PPV cards months in advance (off the top of my head Ahmed Johnson v Owen for the iC title was announced for Summerslam 96, etc.). I think it lost some appeal when Vince Russo took over and it had a more cynical tone (like isn't wrestling so stupid if you really think about it) I liked the corniness of the kayfabe during the Linda McMahon years
-
Bobby also requested to go off the road around mid 91 or so. So the timelines match up He was finally set on getting his neck operated on. Of course he wouldn't tlll he went to WCW three years later
-
so Miz dressing and tanning like Robert Evans has to be an inside joke by someone on creative, right? I doubt Vince knows who Robert Evans even is so I'm guessing someone like Michael Hayes

was Dusty Rhodes still doing commentary on the B weekend shows when Russo arrived in WCW? I can swear he was doing worldwide around fall 99 when Russo came in. I have this recollection of a video package of the Steve Williams v the Misfits feud that was going on and Dusty blurting out "Jerry Only Babyyy!" and I could not stop laughing -
sescoops, which is almost always accurate, is reporting that the top matches for Summerslam will be Brock/Cena, Reigns/Orton, Jericho/Wyatt and Stephanie McMahon/Brie Bella. Stephanie/Brie will obviously have a stip attached and I guess they are waiting for NOC for Reigns/Hunter
-
i hope they realize what they have with Ambrose
-
well Reigns v Hunter looks on for Summerslam
-
running an injury angle with Cena what a pop for Ambrose
