  1. I am still boggled by these cards. Time travel wouldn’t help. We’d have to do it multiple times.
  2. Exciting stuff. And yes, full push for Gilbert.
  3. I think 2/3rds of the swimming pool matches are lovely.
  4. Different guy, would love to talk with him.
  5. You have to reach out to Richard Land, primarily through twitter @maskedwrestlers over there. He's @landy1987 here, I think, but not active so that's your best bet.

    Villano III

I watch a lot of wrestling. Rarely does one single act move the needle. What happens with Villano III here after Vulcano destroys his mask after the primera will move the needle.
  7. He was a middle class person’s Brutus Beefcake against Giant Haystacks.
  8. Good to know. I had no idea who that guy was.
  9. Steve. No one else looks/moves like that.
  10. This is December 84. Lasartesse vs Paersey was a slugfest. Wright vs Rasputin was a really solid Wright mauling with a little bit of heat and a good finish. Couple of matches to go on it.
  11. I was doing a great job rushing through the new Bremen HH footage (Morgan vs Martin was great! Lasartesse vs Roocks was very good! I skipped to Morgan vs Zrno and that was great too.) but my momentum got destroyed by Haystacks vs Steinblock (what a Brutus Beefcake-y dude) and then Haystacks vs Wanz. Oof.
  12. It’s really good. Very different than their other more comedic match. I’m writing up Wanz vs Studd for Friday on SC, btw. It was lovely.
  13. Going to live wrestling for the first time in eight years to see Virus and Hechicero tag. I would not have guessed 8 years ago that my next show would have been a New Japan one. Weirdly, TMDK will have been on both shows.
  14. It's not clean (but it's clean-ish) but it has all the unlisted stuff on it and I wasn't sure you have seen the unlisted stuff yet. It's everything in the collection that we found on the first pass (with the tV show name primarily). Bob's got other stuff that was outside of it.
  15. The one I linked in my post, Dave!
  16. Have you still never gotten to the master list on the blog? http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2021/05/french-catch-tuesday-master-list.html?m=1 not that we have a Corne/Falempin vs Zarak match (which sounds great).
  17. Thanks for pointing it out. Much appreciated.
  18. It’s “Wrestling for the Sake of Wrestling.”
  19. He’s Jerry Lewis. The French love Jerry Lewis. (He’s kind of Jimmy Valiant too.)
  20. @Phil Lions It's been a crazy couple of weeks on my end and I'm still reading through and processing. I'm sure I'll have specific thoughts, but this is an amazing resource. Thank you for taking the time to go through and translating and selecting material for us.
  21. Here was my review if it helps: http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2023/03/aew-five-fingers-of-death-and-friends.html?m=0
  22. Apparently I willed this Central States footage into existence in the French thread the other day:
  23. I know you're posting away happily, but I do think a lot of the disconnect in this thread is that you're so focused on the 80s-90s, when most of us feel like there still hasn't been enough examination of the golden age (whether or not you stretch that to the 70s, and I think there's still a lot to see in that decade). We're still in a period where it feels like only a handful of people have gone through the 50s-70s footage which is why @SAMS doing so chronologically is so valuable. It would be like if we suddenly got a ton of 60s-70s Kansas City and someone came along and really wanted to focus on the last few years of Central States instead. 80s Flesh Gordon is probably a little better than 80s Bob Brown, but it's still maddening in the same way.
  24. OJ is OJ. That said, it's funny because when I rewatched Catanzaro vs Cesca for the first time in years at the very end of my project, I was a little disappointed that it was so straight a match. The later Catanzaro was so much more on my mind.
  25. Over at Segunda Caida, our way of focusing on AEW is to hone in on Danielson, Darby, Dustin, Punk, and Kingston. From your review of the tag, I’d consider that were I you. Maybe start with the Blue League of the Continental Classic from last year?
