It's gotten more play on comics sites, but he's debuting the new costume apparently.
To be fair, I think it's always been a part of wrestling, for decades and decades, that when they hammer home too hard the idea that someone has someone else's back, a turn may well happen.
I wonder if there are a legion of teenage girl CW fans who will drop $9.99 just for the chance to see the new Arrow costume for next season of the show the first time.
Sheamus cashing in at the end of the night is the way they solve the duel belts issue, right? It could even be the way they keep the US belt on Cena if they want to.
There was a huge amount of interest from Sting's appearance and I think a big rating the next night. That they didn't more actively follow up the next night was the issue. I still firmly believe they should have run Sting/Cena at Mania with Sting going after Cena as sort of a force of justice (in his 1997 mystery role) for him failing and allowing the Authority back.
Re; Ziggler: He might go off to be a successful comedian and not need the WWE and leave instead of getting fired and then Vince will cry a single tear. Better to not make money than that.
The post-WM title win was one of the biggest moments of the last five years. Granted, that one was due to a concussion.
Re: Jericho: Big Show is the only other guy on the roster who mentions things like that.
Remember the night after the Hardy Boyz/Edge and Christian TIT final when they made a massive deal out of their ladder match and how that was contrasted to some crazy Dragons vs Three Count match which WCW just ignored the next night?
Or am I making that up?
We've talked about this. Part of it is the amount of TV and "Special events." Part of it is the lack of jobber matches. Part of it is the idea that post-Brock leaving, Vince doesn't want to make stars bigger than the WWE brand and the WWE wanting to humble guys after they get over to see how they'll react/put them in their place.
My entire list right now consists of
1. Bockwinkel
2. Rose
So unless anyone's going higher than that on them, there you go.
I still don't know what to do about the entire country of Japan, mind you.
The Tenryu/Jumbo vs Mil/Dos Caras match that just dropped from 82 is actually a super amount of fun for a ten minute match with no real finish (but you know, in a logical way). People should check it out. It has some very good individual spots.
Wahoo and I were working on an episode of TV over the last couple of days so hopefully, he'll be able to get enough of a break at work to polish it up.
