I am kind of bummed we didn't get Harper, Rowan, Daniel vs Punk, Rhodes Bros though.

I kind of love the 98 promo where he babbles about how he's going to bring Sting back towards the light or whatever.

I don't think anyone's going to say Warrior was a great wrestler. I personally think he was very good at following direction and could be managed in a match. Also, plenty of charisma. As a kid, plenty of excitement. Great theme. I think the people who have gone through the 90-91 yearbooks were probably glad the insane promos were on there from a "can't look away" standpoint. Moreover, I think plenty of people enjoy just how nuts he is and how much he drinks his own koolaid. He's an amazing character and this will be a spotlight for him to speak about destructicity or whatever else. 100% the best thing about our community over the last ten years or so is that we've learned to enjoy and appreciate things that aren't just workrate, so long as we're honest about what we're enjoying and why we're enjoying it.

If they're serious about Rawley, and there's every indication they are, they should use Warrior to give him some rub somehow.

Man, who the hell inducts Warrior? Cena? Sting? Backlund cutting a crazy promo? Vince? Mojo Rawley? Honky Tonk Man? Jake? Papa Shango? Taker? Hogan? Phil Collins?

I think if anyone ever wondered whether or not we were biased for or against people we like or generally honest and earnest in our opinions and responses, they now have an answer.

I think that a 2-1 split is pretty good for this and shows a nice variation of opinion here considering all sorts of factors that can be seen all over this note.

It's an interesting take and a definite narrative, one that you can draw clean lines to and could sell to Hollywood in two sentences. I'm not sure if it hits everything correctly. Look at who WWE brought with them for the launch: Austin, DX, etc. Flair was advertised. Hogan was hinted at. I think they want to draw back in the casuals from the Atttidue era but are taking the current casuals as a given since they're already there and what they're offering them is a better deal, with the PPVs, then they could possibly get otherwise. The real winners might not be the current kids who love Cena, sure, but it could well be instead the people who tuned in and shouted SUCK IT in 98-99 and wore Austin 3:16 shirts, the misfit creatures of the last boom. Also, we don't exist in the paradigm you laid out, which is understandable, but a little strange since you're one of us and all.

I completely agree with this criticism of Savage. There are a ton of A and B show WCW Savage matches which sound exciting or interesting on paper and then when you watch them, it's just this. Long beatdown, bodyslam, elbow. The guy wanted to wrestle so badly just to do that?

I also wonder if they will cycle things off at some point too. -

The interest probably goes down significantly once you get away from WWE PPVs (and major TV) and then to a lesser extent WCW PPVs. After that the cost/benefit kicks in. Things like B/C shows or old territory footage or MSG spot shows has its audience but it's in the tens of thousands and not the hundreds? That's a guess. I don't know how the dvds did off the top of my head but a lot of that would be people who would buy the network anyway even without it I bet. -
There was a HHH in 2000 note over at DVDVR but it only got some traction: http://deathvalleydriver.com/forum/index.p...ishi#entry30401

There were a couple of things I didn't love about the Titan/Casas match (I could have used a better second fall transition/comeback by Casas) and a lot I did but easily the coolest thing I saw this week was Titan's awesome head stomps when he had the half crab on and Casas was heading towards the ropes.

I know what that feels like.

I don't think it's unusual for a heel to call the match, but the difference between the Race match and the Rose matches are so extreme.

Bullseye looks kind of awesome actually.

Why would they leave money on a table in a situation like this where they control almost everything involved?

Wrestling is magic.

I'm seeing a lot of 2/2/80 online. Are we sure on the date there? ... Let me rephrase that. Is the one that says 2/2/80 on youtube this match? Because if so I might jump into my WOS watching early based on that write up.

There is that as well = Argue Michaels' placement, and add personal feelings about his IRL persona into the equation all you want, but he should be in conversations among the best of all time as an in-ring performer and as a pro-wrestling character. Triple H? Not so much! When the best attributes you can say is that he was/is a masterful backstage politician, his in ring character and performer probably leads much to be desired. You guys should just do a three hour breakdown of the Wrestlemania XXV main event.

Hey! That's not a big picture I care about. I mean it is, if DirectTV thinks it's the big picture too and will show a level of brinkmanship that they wouldn't have otherwise and we get some awesome Vince attitude on TV. Part of me thinks that there's almost no better way to drive people to the WWE Network than having DirectTV no longer show PPVs.

He'll just have to show up dressed as a woman like at Uncensored 95.
-
I would think the guys on top would be taken care of somehow. A Fandango or R-Truth might be a bit more in trouble.

The PWO twitter account should tweet a trophy jpeg to whoever is in the match that wins every week.

I also honestly think a lot of piracy comes out of the UK.
