Anyone here listen to the Formerly Creative podcast?
Court Baurer and Dave Lagana told the story of WWE hiring a 60 year old writer Dave Mullen and insisting that he had to drive 6 hours from one show to another to test whether he could handle the biz. Lagana offered his own seat on the private plane to Mullen so that he would drive instead of Mullen but WWE refused that arrangement.
I think we are kind of confusing two things:
A one-off rap dissing the Rock and the promo material frequently used and written by Cena and Brian Gewirtz.
On the rap this week you can kind of give Cena a stylistic pass as homophobia/emasculating your target is an established aspect/trope.
While his John and Brian's cosplay Rock comedy stuff is the terrible and inexcusable stuff. Calling Justin Gabriel Justin GAYbriel and such like.
To me WMXV/1999 switcharoo of putting Billy Gunn in the Hardcore title match and Road Dogg in the IC title is the epitome of the shit end of unpredictability in Wrestling.
We never agree on anything, but I said the same thing to someone not an hour ago
LOL
I think some people would gave this show 10/10 if Christian turned on Edge and Kelly Kelly was revealed as Teddy Long's attacker, deadly serious.
Found this on F4W's message board after searching the terms "Kerry Von Erich NWA" it is from the pre-merger Wrestling Observer site posted February 2008.
Just too ridiculous not to post
Thats fair enough but how is someone reading the review to know that? The Harts being the Harts it could be anything. It could be the post-Owen Hart death family rift or Davey's death or anything too.
I read the review when it was on the front page. In addition to what you said I found it one of the worst structured Babby columns in some time (hellva feat).
This paragraph in particular annoyed the fuck out of me:
What exactly is he referring to here?
Look forward to your review, Bix. A podcast would be probably be cool too if anyone would track him down.
