Mike explained his loyalty to Scherer before. Ten years ago or so he was in a massive car wreck, lost everything and at low ebb when Scherer offered him a full time job and freedom to report how he wanted.

Someone rule on this. Cornette invites Punk to ROH: Does Jim: a ) think the promo was a shoot B ) just wants to play along c ) just want to promote ROH

Dont get me wrong I've a lot of time for Mike Johnson he goes to more Wrestling shows than anyone else on the main sites. He seems to report news from locker room level so to speak rather than an almost third hand POV. He also seems to have sources in every department of the company. He is generally a better interviewer than Alverez too - more knowledge about careers off the top of his head as well as he can hold a conversation about things outside of Wrestling too without exposing himself. Scherer just comes across bitter, paranoid and cranky. There is a great interview Mike did with Paul London. In fairness they were friends and Paul freely outs himself as source but Mike showed a lot real compassion and understanding on more heavy parts of the interview namely Paul's brother getting killed by a hit and run.

The latest PWInsider still thinking it is the late 1990s story. Somehow someone wrongly reported that Meltzer wrote that Brock was returning to WWE. Which he didnt all he said that an endorsement deal was being discussed. The MMA media including Ariel ran with the story without checking with Dave or the Observer. Anyway that is the background, PWInsider reported the story but blanked out the "source": Bryan had fun at it in his description of the Bryan and Vinny show:

The last issue I bought of PWI was the one with a reprint of every Flair PWI cover in the magazine. -
EDIT: *Double post* Jensen Karp also likened Vince McMahon to George Lucas in terms of frustrating people

Have any of you guys listened to the two Formerly Creative podcasts? Fun listening to them geek out over CM Punk calling out WWE management. There's some interesting notes on Punk's ECW days about the opposition he was up against and being mocked by various agents and wrestlers. As an aside on the first of the two podcast at the very end they all put over Mark Henry over personally and professionally. They all seem to be frustrated by creative putting stem on Henry only for Vince to job him out for no real reason.

Yep they were done when Daniel Bryan was cut. WWE in fairness did really well to get a Summerslam out of a bunch of rookies.

Or Pillman doing his best Johnny Rotten and gurning close up directly into the camera or any "I iz shooting now" Russo style promo. Someone mentioned on twitter how awesome Punk using his AFI theme at MITB would be.

Sweet, Will. I am glad you capatlised on the moment (aka marked out)

It is more Cena's lameo "I dont like what Punk said but I respect Punk's right to say it" shtick. A babyface would say that but I can only imagine how smarmy he is when he says that line. But back to the promo him sitting down cross legged emphasising that he is being calm and rational about what he is saying was pretty great as was paying homage to Steve Austin with the shirt. Wade blogged about it. He focuses on how it worked on a multiple levels to different types of fans. http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/wadekel...com/51085.shtml

I looked at the second set of tapings and died inside. Great promo that only Punk could have done tho.

That's super lame and Ive always thought that even pre-internet. Powerslam was only 10 days or so behind. Speaking of Powerslam has anyone ever met or had any dealings with Ernie "Stately Wayne Manor" Santilli: http://www.swmswm.com/ -

Someone in the States satisfy my curiousness what issue of PWI is on US newstands currently? Over here it is the post Mania issue. Are we behind or is that just the production schedule. I also saw the Wrestler and Inside Wrestling as a double magazine this morning. -
Oh Jay Briscoe: https://twitter.com/#!/jaybriscoe84/sta...006386500616192 Imagine Bill Watts had a twitter.

http://us.wwe.com/inside/chavo-guerrero-released Dont sandbag HHH's golden boy I guess. Interested in what Chavo will say post WWE in regards to Chris, Eddy and his concussion.

Not only that but the show is a small club so Finlay will probably lay it in extra strong/snug
