  1. As we all need another DVD copy of the WM12 Iron Man match.
  2. Not sure what you mean here. Care to expand? I refer you to the case of Bruce Mitchell vs Derek Burgan Plz explain. There was a big debate (really just lots of yelling) about it on Torch radio on whether or not the IWC exists which created a bunch of drops and website based memes. Mitchell strongly thinks there isnt one as there isnt one collective being - a community to him is a bunch of people living and/or working together. Wrestling fans are different people with different tastes. Even the message boards are VERY different.

  4. Im sure Colt would like to play with it
  5. Is him STILL being on his first main roster contract true?
  6. Oh yeah the Citizen Kane type shot walking into the WWF arena. But in Barry's defence in that scene and the scene in the office with Roland giving the sales spiel to the two prospective trainees Roland is wearing very tight t-shirts. I went ahead and watched the movie itself. Never noticed seeing/hearing during the Puke scene JR standing in the corner gleefully wishing that Gerald was there. As for those who dont know Gerry Briscoe was a legendary gag reflex and a very weak stomach which he gets ribbed about all the time.
  7. Just listened to and enjoyed this: http://lawradio.podbean.com/2011/06/20/rev...arry-blaustein/ Barry comes on at the 45min mark. Roland Alexander thought Barry went out of is way to make him look fat. Jake's daughter is married and is a practicing psychiatrist. Barry said she made a real success of herself. Plus too many notes on who was and wasnt a dick to him when filming.
  8. Bingo This is the exact issue I bought: http://www.amazon.com/NEW-WAVE-WRESTLING-M...715&sr=1-12 It had a longer run prior than I thought.
  9. I remember buying a Wrestling magazine in Spring 1998 in our largest magazine shop. It didnt seem to have been distributed elsewhere and I recall it only lasting a couple of issues. Too the very best of my knowledge it wasnt apart of the PWI family but it was American. It had an extensive news section covering WWF, WCW etc to Memphis to CWA in Germany to even some African promotions. The news section was very dirtsheety however from what I remember the rest of the magazine was kayfabe. All I remember about the rest of the magazine was that it was primarily in black and white, a full page photograph of Kevin Lawler (still odd to me) and a big ad advertising the original WWF action figure line. Ring any bells?
  10. From the Creative Recall blog: This is a pretty interesting piece of news for those who listen to Dave Lagana's podcast or have read about the dynamic of the Smackdown creative team - Hayes not listening to ideas and those under him only creating copy for him as a result. That's before you move onto gaff's legit the Mark Henry incident, singing at the HHH-Steph wedding and the plane ride from hell.
  11. Why not include Ink Inc? Im sure Jesse Neal could do with the booking.
  12. I cant point anyone anywhere but TNA having casting couch is one of those open secrets. Just like what is rumoured to go on with Kidman and Johnny Ace in FCW.
  13. He didnt have that much to say about anyone in TNA. He had some nice words about Sting in terms of his impact on his own career, a funny story about MCMGs influencing his child's haircut to his dismay - a call back of sorts to the same thing with Owen Hart in a previous book and a very token Dixie is a good person/boss speech.
  14. Closer to 200-350k. WCW thought it was worth it to appease Randy and have the Slim Jim connection. He only worked like once as Lanny didnt think he could wrestle to the standards of the time. Accounts differ but it is thought Randy bought the rights to the name of "Gorgeous George" for Lanny to use originally. Lanny said he wanted to work. But they never called him up. He would sometime call and ask if they had anything for him. He was a talented performer they could of founds something for him. I've heard him say that too due to guilt or whatever. But him being subpar to what was required at the time was what he said about his match in WCW.

  16. Bryan and Dave though that selling Vince's slap and falling to the floor was the right reaction. While I thought standing there and taking it would have been the "right" option. No? Am I wrong?
  17. Id much prefer a current affairs show covering some of the stories on CageSideSeats. Naturally given Bix and Dylan's wide frame of reference historic parallels will be discussed when they come up. There are millions of retro podcasts out there even going as far back as Joe Vs The World to Bix's old shows to Flair Chop nowadays. A bunch of guys on DVDR have a number of podcasts chatting about history and historical projects too.
  18. I enjoyed this. Especially for the ROH and Randy talk.
  19. Most TV shows have a Bible/Series Bible.
  20. That would Pro Wrestling Mostly, right?
  21. EEEEENNNNNNOOOOOOOSSSSSSSS Oliver Copp's UFC press pass: http://www.f4wonline.com/images/Pics2/copp.jpg
  22. Everyone on the board wants the dude banned. Ive played the role of Bryan and Dave defender/corrector in this thread but I dont know what the fuck Bryan is playing at here. The thread was deleted though. Maybe Tony the webmaster did it I dont know. But the site has been updated by Bryan, Bryan posted on the forum today in the convention thread and I know at least one person who emailed him. Figure4chan anyone?
