Loss Posted December 24, 2011 Author Report Posted December 24, 2011 They show a clip of Lawler and Shawn arguing the week before before Lawler finds and interviews Shawn in the locker room. Lawler says he wishes Shawn wasn't so busy because he'd love to face him. Shawn says he's free if Lawler wants to go, but Lawler tries to make excuses to get out of it based on his "journalistic oath". Quote
Tim Evans Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 I like how HBK calls Lawler "Kingfish". Quote
PeteF3 Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 This was amusing. Plus it felt like a real conversation and not a written skit. Lawler even brings up Shawn being taken off the co-hosting job for Raw. Quote
ajtroma Posted June 14, 2017 Report Posted June 14, 2017 There's a rumor that they were going to possibly going to go with Shawn-Lawler at SummerSlam. I was there the next night at the Superstars taping. The Ted Dibiase/Sid interview about the original Shawn-Sid match at SummerSlam never saw the light of day. Sid was just a flop and they knew it. They didnt want to cool Shawn off (and piss him off) with a lousy match on the ppv. So, Shawn needed a hot match and hey, Razor isn't doing anything so.... Quote
