Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Last few minutes. Beulah takes a bump and Fonzie gets some receipts for the beating he took at As Good As It Gets. Both Sabu and RVD try to go through a table on Dreamer, but Dreamer sits up. But when Dreamer goes to the top, Alfonso cracks him in the heel with a chair. Then they work over Dreamer's "broken" heel (not sure what from), but Dreamer manages to overcome the numbers again and pin RVD. Post-match, Sabu brings a ladder into the ring, which they throw into a chair which is being held in front of Dreamer's face. This segment didn't know when to end. Crazy spots like that would mean so much more if they would just do one in a beatdown instead of doing so many. Anyway, they put Dreamer's foot under a table and Sabu is about to throw a fireball when the lights go out in the arena and then … nothing. Kevin Ridge
Damn, I had thought Beulah was already on the outs from a neck injury by the Dudleys. But she is still here. This feud peaked back in the summer. The lights go off and I’m expecting a big appearance but nobody.
soup23
Cant say I was to in to most of this. It dragged on and featured too many stop/start comebacks for what everyone would know would be the Sandman's return.
PeteF3
We join with Beulah getting clotheslined by Sabu, and despite Joey's hushed response that spot has lost all semblance of shock value or surprise by this point. Taz is gone, having been taken out of the building by the Pitbulls. That leaves Dreamer alone and incredibly enough, this time he actually overcomes the odds and pins Van Dam with a DDT onto a chair. A rather silly beatdown follows, with Sabu riding a ladder from the top turnbuckle into a chair being held in front of Dreamer's face by RVD. That would have had way more impact if they'd just hit him with the ladder. Sabu is about to set Dreamer's broken foot on fire (??!) when the lights go out. And...and...and...? I presume that was Sandman in the ring when the lights came back up.
