Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Last few minutes. Pretty good crowd on hand. Please end this feud. It's obvious to the audience it has nothing to do with the WWF at this point. Not much heat for this compared to the usual ECW Arena fare. I liked Dreamer countering whatever split legged thing RVD is about to do with a kick to the balls. The referee stuff is ridiculous, but watching Beulah beat up Fonzie is always fun. RVD did an amazing bouncing bump off of a piledriver. Stevie Richards shows up, which is a surprise as he was just in WCW maybe a week or two ago. I'm curious what the story was there. Kevin Ridge
I love that piledriver spot on RVD. The atmosphere from the Arena is not translating to the other venues that have hosted PPVS. This got really overbooked with the referee stuff though I did laugh at the double DDT on Jeff Jones followed by a taunt from each referee. Beulah didn’t connect well on her low blow shot on Alfonzo. Richards showing up overshadowed Dreamer getting beat up as fans were cheering Stevie instead.
soup23
I liked some spots of this (that nasty piledriver, Tommy kicking RVD's ridiculous offense, Beulah vs. Fonzie) and hated other aspects (the referee nonsense, RVD being fairly sloppy, the non finish, finish). Stevie coming back was a shocking moment but this whole scene felt like overkill.
PeteF3
This was pretty terrible, though that piledriver was indeed great. I don't care about Furnas & LaFon at this point, which pains me after having gone through the late '80s and '90s with them. The shitheads in the crowd are too busy marking out over Stevie's return, even though he's a heel, to bother providing any actual heat. Beulah gets laid out--again, and Joey Styles does the Owen Voice--again. Joey Styles telegraphs literally everything--again. Dreamer gets buried under the WWF flag--again, and this is sold as the Darkest Day in ECW History--again. Do you think *maybe* Paul E. was running out of ideas at this point?
