Loss Posted September 17, 2014 Author Report Posted September 17, 2014 Rey has turned down previous invitations to join the LWO. If he loses this match, he has to join the group. This is a pretty solid match, but Eddy has to pull teeth to get a reaction, which surprises me in a strong wrestling town. Eddy works over Rey's injured knee and Rey sells it very well. Eddy ends up taking Rey's brace off and applying some awesome submissions. They think Rey has submitted, but it turns out the TV time expired, so Rey is not in the NWO. This would have been worlds better with time calls, as it would have added so much drama to this. A shame this didn't really get over.
soup23 Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Solid stuff but pretty much the paint by the numbers match for these two. Eddy targets Rey's leg for a while. The time cues were dumb here as it felt really rushed and only like it was a 10-15 minute time limit. I always love the spot of Eddy crotching himself on the post as being an equalizer. The LWO seems just as confused as the rest of us. **1/2
PeteF3 Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 Pretty eh match with the stipulation seemingly carrying less weight than it should. The sudden finish feels less like the time expiring and more like a screwjob.
