This awful build continues. This is about the dozenth time Shane has cut one of these let's-recap-the-full-history promos with Taz standing there listening. I should also mention that Shane Douglas proposes Taz watch his back to ensure that he's in one piece come match time where there are no excuses over who the better man is, and we've already seen that teased and swerved once.

In one of the more dumb things I have ever heard, Shane offers Taz to be his bodyguard. Man, November has kind of soured me on this yearbook as we are kind of limping to the finish line. This is one of the worst long term builds for a match I have ever seen.

"I got something that TROY MARTIN and FRANCINE FOURNIER want to say to you." Oh, for fuck's sake. Douglas recounts all the ballsy stuff he's done in the ring, none of which is really all that ballsy. Douglas points out that he hasn't been able to shake Taz for five years--yeah, he's right, this build *has* felt five years long.

Too long but okay. I think this is a reasonable way to do the fakeout they end up doing (with Taz taking out Sabu to get the shot), but the bigger question is why this wasn't just the match? And why not do it at N2R?
