[1999-01-17-WCW-Souled Out] Ric & David Flair vs Barry Windham & Curt Hennig

Recommended Posts

Last few minutes. Arn Anderson helps out Team Flair and they get the win. The NWO beats Ric down after the match for what seems like an eternity and Hogan ends up whipping David to the point that Norton had to calm things down, which pretty badly angered Flair at the time.

Nice to see Team Flair win and Hennig finally gets one upped after about 15 months of having the upper hand. Of course, the whole NWO runs out including Hogan in B&W shirt for no reason and they beat down David in brutal fashion as Ric looks on handcuffed to the rope.

Not a bad way in theory to transition to a Flair vs. Hogan program, which should still be money, but this whole beatdown feels derivative and tired. It does get good heat, but WCW is retreading the same ground it did in 1996 and hoping it works again.
