Loss Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 Jumbo Tsuruta is officially retiring from pro wrestling. We get a funny sounding keyboard version of his theme, but some great clips spanning the 70s, 80s and 90s. Jumbo gives a heartfelt speech and says goodbye with wrestlers surrounding the ring in track suits, including Misawa. Another classy non-wrestling segment.
Tim Evans Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 This was an end of an era. I mean I know Jumbo had been semi retired for years before this but with Baba gone and now Jumbo, it was really over. Nice touch with him doing his pose on the turnbuckles.
soup23 Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Classy ceremony as one of the best of all time says goodbye. So long Jumbo, you are the man.
Zenjo Posted August 14, 2015 Report Posted August 14, 2015 He'd been confined to old man comedy matches since 93, and here Jumbo formally concludes a legendary career. This may well have been his final TV appearance before his death the following year.
PeteF3 Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 It was suspected that Jumbo was only staying in the company at all out of loyalty to Baba. Now Baba's gone, and so is Jumbo, off to an education career in the U.S. for the last year of his life.
