Loss Posted October 22, 2014 Author Report Posted October 22, 2014 Last few minutes. I didn't remember this being a lumberjack strap match at all. Match seems okay, but not much different from last month outside of the gimmick. Arn takes matters into his own hand and hits Hennig with a tire iron to give Benoit and Malenko the win and the tag titles after a Benoit diving headbutt where Hennig is waaaayyyy too far away. That finish made me cringe a little because it was a close call. The heel turn led to a good run for Benoit and Malenko as a heel tag team with Arn at ringside that I wish had lasted much longer. Tim Evans Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 So was this supposed to be a double turn? Windham looks in way better shape than he was during his final WWF days. Benoit got lucky with that headbutt. Quote
soup23 Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 Decent action and Arn gives an assist to give Benoit/Malenko the tag straps. Quote
MikeCampbell Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 I believe it was lumberjacks with straps due to the way Hennig and Windham won the titles. Chris Benoit finally gets some respect from the WCW booking staff. And, Double-A gets some overdue revenge on Hennig's turn from 18-months earlier. Quote
PeteF3 Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Windham still knows what he's doing in there, though he's lost a step or six at this point. Not bad action but pretty needlessly overbooked--these really aren't guys to be going out there and doing a lot of gaga. Oh well, we got the result we wanted at the time so it's hard to complain too much. This tag division appears that it may be a beacon of light in the sea of WCW crap. Quote
