Loss Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 Last few minutes. Nakanishi submits Muto to the torture rack in an interesting attempt to create a new star, winning the G-1 in the process. Quote
Zenjo Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 A strong final could've salvaged what had been a below par tournament. Instead it was representative of a terrible final day at Sumo Hall. Just an uninspiring bout with yet more legwork and neither man impressing. There was a bit of excitement at the end with the surprise winner. Quite simply both men did not deserve to be there. As they wanted to push a new star then Tenzan, Nagata or even Kojima would've been better options than Nakanishi at this point in time. Quote
Tim Evans Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Crowd seemed hot for the finish. It's kinda amazing the kurosawa run didn't kill Nakanishi's career. It was also surprising to see Muto lose cleanly. Quote
soup23 Posted January 19, 2016 Report Posted January 19, 2016 Nakanishi wins in a big upset but I can't imagine what they saw in him besides his size as he has been pretty terrible throughout his career and now is outright abysmal. Quote
PeteF3 Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 The Japanese are marks for Olympic credentials just like old-timey wrasslers and WON HOF voters. The result is an eyebrow-raiser but I can't say that I'm all that inspired by this booking move. Quote
