Loss Posted November 4, 2014 Author Report Posted November 4, 2014 I love Wolfie D promos. I wish this guy had gotten more of a shot, but at the same time, I realize he's a guy who just came along in the wrong generation. Doug sends well wishes to Randy Hales in spite of their problems and cuts a hell of a promo in his own right, this one directed at Jim Cornette. Both of these guys are great talkers. Quote
Tim Evans Posted May 28, 2015 Report Posted May 28, 2015 This is a promo that would talk people into the building. Wolfie was nice and short while Doug just goes on and on. Wolfie is probably one of the most underrated talkers in wrestling. He was usually overshadowed by Jamie but he was good on his own. Quote
soup23 Posted January 20, 2016 Report Posted January 20, 2016 Man both of these promos were awesome. Doug showing a magazine talking about the Gilbert family felt sincere and fired up. Power Pro continues to be the most pleasant surprise of 1999. Quote
PeteF3 Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Corey has been named the acting President of PPW with Hales out of the picture. Wolfie cuts a fired-up promo promising revenge on Glenn Kulka and Mick Tierney. Doug invokes his brother's name and their past history with Hales despite their current differences. Gilbert turns his attention to Jim Cornette, basically promising to torch Cornette tonight--a great promo that tells us that Cornette and his men may just be screwed, now that they have to deal with somebody as nasty as they are.
