Loss
Flash Flanagan claims he was screwed in the HIAC match. He blames Jim Cornette. He points out that Cornette stopped the referee's count after he used a chain even though the match was No DQ, and that's a compelling point of view. He claims the WWF doesn't want him because they are scared of him. Flash is not a particularly good promo, but you can tell he's trying. Cornette takes offense to Flash Flanagan telling very Jim Cornette-like jokes. The ref that Flanagan criticized gets in the ring and takes off shirt wanting to fight since Flash has been insulting his family. When brawling starts, this segments gets really good, but I don't know what good Cornette getting a babyface comeback on Flash Flanagan does. Trailer Park Trash and Rico Constantino make the save and run Flash off.
Tim Evans
Flash cuts a passionate but stumbling heel promo. Talks about getting screwed in the HITC by the ref and Cornette. Bashes the ref including his family and the ref wants to fight. Of course, this being Jim Cornette, he has to get a shot in at the heel. It was ridiculous in 1995 and its even more in 1999. soup23
Flanagan does a decent promo but Ric Flair he is not. The points Flash brings up about the DQ is good but then we get into an OVW favorite, referee bashing. It is never interesting especially when it involves someone like Briscoe. Cornette is appalled and outraged of course and this is par the course for OVW.
PeteF3
Flash has a pretty strong case, since HIAC isn't supposed to be about what's "fair." That said, his talk about how the most anarchic period in WWF history would have the WWF be "afraid" of Flash is pretty eye-rolling even by the standards of heel bravado. I can't get worked up over Flash Flanagan feuding with a referee.
