Loss
The New York Times took a fascinating look at the NWA's attempts to compete with the WWF. Lots of gold in this article. http://goo.gl/1btkMp

pantherwagner
Jim Herd should have hired Yolanka.
WingedEagle
This was great. I like that even back then they were calling it Sports Entertainment. Consistency!
Exposer
I can't think of a single difference between sports entertainment and professional wrestling. I always hate when I read or hear about WWF saying they were the former and WCW was the latter. I know sports entertainment is a buzzword WWF pretty much created, but in my mind there is literally no difference between the two. Everyone knows wrestling is entertainment. In regards to the rest of the article, the journalist's play-by-play was hysterical!
PeteF3
Did the rage-meter idea go anywhere? We got treated to the SLAM-O-METER at Capital Combat, after the night's slammingest match, Mark Callous vs. Johnny Ace.

Don't tell that to old, cranky, and out of touch Jim Cornette, he'll bite your head off for not realizing pro wrestling and sports entertainment are very different things. Imagine if I said that to him at a Dairy Queen drive-in.
