Chris Sabin vs. Kyle O'Reilly

- Ok... early on Sabin bum rushes O'Reilly and beats the shit out of him. He then goes after the bandaged head and I think this is going to be the most awesome match on the show. Then notging. No biting. No punching. No clawing. No kicking. Nothing. Blood was trickling down from O'Reilly ' s face and he did nothong with it but Some Flippy Floppy Reversal Shit. Completely took me out of the match. Silly finish with interference and it doesn't matter what O'Reilly did to try and save it. Big letdown.

Sabin needed to really work that cut and he failed tenfold. O'Reilly underneath work was tremendous . If Sabin worked the cut we might have had a 4* match. With the dynamic of Kyle desperately going for submissions . No we didn't . I still enjoyed the bout in spots, but it should have been much more. Will yelling at Sabin on how he should work was great.

Briscoe Brothers & Roderick Strong vs. Matt Sydal, ACH, and Alberto el Patron

- Patron was sporting his Del Rio gear tonight. Early on, they pair off and open like a classical lucha trios. Then they do a huge dive sequence later on after a nice ACH face on peril. Then shit goes bonkers and everyone is going too fast to keep track. Ending has Mark Briscoe getting trapped in an arm bar followed by Air Sydal followed by the 450 to end it. I want to watch it again to see if it is MOTYC level stuff but it was awesome live.

Overall... ROH ruled tonight. It could have been next level stuff if a Sabin knew wrestling 101 and Jay Lethal didn't suck.

The main event was fucking great. The crowd was so jacked for this. We start with a Lucha pair off. We get some awesome work. We get a triple FIP section with ACH being the real meat . The dive sequence was great. The finish was almost as good as the Styles/Bucks one. I got an ACH chant going .

As a show this was awesome. My voice is gone The show had so much good wrestling . The work seemed much tighter than a WWE houseshow. Easy thumbs up. O'Reilly was an Iron Man working 2 long matches, and an interview segment.

Bummer about Moose not impressing. I thought he was really good at the Atlanta show with a ton or presence and promise. Seems like he had been improving with every show so hopefully this was a minor speed bump. So reading these thoughts, only one of the KRD was unmasked as Sabin?

Sabin not working the cut was something I honestly didn't even really think about until you guys brought it up. It did feel like the match kind of stalled a little for me, in spite of really like O'Reilly's timings on the comeback and a lot of the babyface hope spots and loved Fish willing him into the ring to beat the countout. It's something that seems a little smaller, where as heels, he'd go and physically help him. I also liked that after the, for lack of a better phrase, weird response to the KRD reveal, that they got some real heel heat for this match, the only real heel responses on the show save everything Elgin-related and the Decade.

Odd show for Americos to reemerge on. He had some good stuff in TCW a couple of years ago.

Absolutely devastated that Will didn't get to see Cheeseburger live.

Pumped to see that main event.

Americos has been trying to get into ROH for awhile . I know that Americos has been to at least one ROH camp. I would guess that Andy Dalton and Shane Taylor got booked the same way. Apparrently the ROH tryout camps sell out and guys come from all over North America trying to get a spot in ROH .

Dalton works regularly in the same local fed that Rowe wrestles for. He may have gotten in outright on a recommendation.

Might be. I don't know . However Delirious is really pushing the paid try out camp concept to Sinclair as a revenue stream . They post photos of the camps on their facebook and twitter accounts, that how I knew about Americos. They make just about everyone who is not an established pro go to the camps and pay the fee. Ciampa , Fish , Taven , Bennett , Josh Alexander , Hansen , Dijak , Castle , Rowe , Elgin , Ethan Page , The Reno Scum and countless others have been to the camps. I think ROH has got one hell of a waiting list for a spot.

The whole blood thing is weird. In the great tag match Kyle gets busted up hardway on the finish. On the Sabin match he started working the cut and then stopped doing it cold. If they were worried about the blood you'd think they would have had Fish work the match.
