He has a nice solid run in 1989 All Japan enough to flirt with the Top 150 matches of the decade there. He had a fun match with Sting (with one of the worst finishes ever) in 1994. Doc had WOTY worthy years in 1986 UWF and had the awesome All Japan run. Tenta doesn't come close to Doc in terms of output or quality. If you want to say you enjoy watching Tenta more than Doc, nobody will fault you for that but his body of work doesn't stand up. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sure the Earthquake vs Hogan series was good, and Tenta had a few matches with Sting that were ok, but Williams' work alone in AJPW far outweighs anything Tenta ever did.
