shoe
Mixed tag match. This is a mixed midget match. It had some real fun moments in it. I thought the Kamata/Willie stuff was the highlight of the match.
shoe
Jake vs Slater This is a famous feud and I always thought it was one of Jakes. Early in the match we see Jake teasing the DDT, and then again. The crowd was so hot for this. I also like how Jake is keeping an eye out for Journey outside the ring. Jahe threw a nasty elbow and followed up with a big knee lift. Crowd is chanting DDT. The shine was pretty solid and effective. The ref blocks a Jake punch which sets up the heat. During the heat I enjoyed Jake's fire. Slater was good in giving Jake openings only to cut him off. Slater comes off the top and Jake nails a lariat. Jake misses a big knee lift, and Slater puts him in a sleeper. Slater counters another DDT. He has a foreign object, but Jake finally nails the DDT to a huge pop. The ref though DQ's Slater. This was pretty good with both the heat and shine being effective. The crowd was into it. 3 1/4*

DKM
Let me put it this way: If that was the only Brody match I'd ever seen, I would believe the hype. I've never seen anyone make him look better. It's probably the best Brody singles match I've ever seen and I'd call it legit good. The way that Bock sold his offense and kept the movement constant was excellent and I really liked the variation of the king of the mountain where Bock kept using the ropes, not just as a boundary, a base to strike from, but as an actual weapon. Very curious to see what other people think. I so enjoyed this match. I've always been a big Brody fan and and this is one of the matches where he showed he is more than just a big guy that beats people up. It was also showcased some of Bockwinkel's real skill at lifting his opponent.
shoe
Duggan vs Kamala This has a real fun stip. Akbar is cuffed to the corner post.Another rule is if Duggan gets by Kamala he can do what he wants to Akbar. Pretty much this is all story driven and crowd psychology. So the match does what it needs to do. Early on Duggan gets by Kamala and hits Akbar. Duggan tries it a couple more times, but is stuffed. Kamala gets heat on Duggan by using Akbar's riding crop. Duggan sells and when Kamala gets the powder from Akbar, Duggan kicks it right in Kamala's face. Duggan then gives Kamala the spear to the outside. At this point the crowd is going nuts because they think Duggan is going to get his revenge but Kamala recovers and 1/2 of the Zambouie Express destroy Duggan.
