Only have listened to the start. Bix mentioned Takada as a somebody who was supposedly known was a good promo.

Maybe somebody like OJ can answer this, but wasn't his rep (at least during UWFi and PRIDE) that he would often stick his foot in his mouth and that he sounded somewhat uneducated?

Wasn't it more that he was carefully protected to as to make sure he didn't show that side?

Could be, my memory for this kind of stuff isn't all that great and he could have been a great wrestling promo.

The thing that made Takada stand out with the general public, and in particular the ladies, is that in a suit he looked like a movie star (a real movie star, not the wrestling definition of a movie star) but he'd often say dumb shit to the press that made him look like a fool. Best example I can come up with is the way David Beckham used to be (he has now been coached on how to speak).

I'm way behind here but Will getting all offended that people doubted his history knowledge and then when he started to bring it, everyone just no-selling him and moving on, cracked me up.
